Then Edie took Laty to visit her mother. Her tomb was located in an isolated corner. The tomb was so old. It has been placed there for so many years. No one ca to visit her.
Edie saw a bouquet of lilies in front of the tomb. She assud that maybe Stanley ca here before her. But she was no longer his daughter. She had nothing to do with Greg anymore.
Mother, it is . I’ve co to visit you.
Edie said in silence, telling her mother everything was happening these years. She told her mother that she had made the decision. She decided to give up that hatred and started all over again. She decided not to hate anyone again. She decided to forget everything happening in the last generation. She decided to start her whole new life.
If her mother was still alive and knew Edie finally could give up that hatred and forgave those people, she must be so happy.
Because she said so to Edie before she passed away.
Edie’s mother didn’t want Edie to hate anyone. It was all her choice. No matter what the result was, she would handle it alone.
After so many years, Edie finally followed her mother’s words.
She finally forgave those people.
After visiting the old Greg and her mother, Edie got on a personal airplane to England. They arrived in England at two o’clock in the afternoon.
To Edie’s surprise, she saw Brittany. She was waiting for them at the airport.
"Stuart, why did you give up your succession, right? Oh.....Edie? What the hell is going on?"
Brittany didn’t know Edie was still alive. She thought Edie had passed away long ago. When seeing the girl standing asides Stuart, she was really shocked.
What was wrong with her eyes?
The girl standing aside, Stuart looked exactly like Edie. She was holding a little boy’s hands.
Laty wore a hat. So Brittany didn’t see her face clearly.
"What...."
Brittany froze imdiately.
"Nice to et you, Miss Yates. Allow to introduce myself. I am a photographer, Ceddie Jackson."
She emphasized her na and gave Brittany her hands.
Brittany widened her eyes. She dragged Stuart aside and asked him in an anxious voice, "Stuart. I know you miss Edie so much these years. You even started dreaming of her one day. But you couldn’t do this. Though she looks exactly like Edie, she is not Edie. She is not your wife. Understand? She is the photographer, Ceddie Jackson. Oh. I know her. She is quite famous. She has held several exhibitions in Europe before. I’ve visited those before. Wow, this girl is quite famous. Could keep a low profile. Who is that little boy?"
"Her kid."
"..." Brittany raised her head, staring at Stuart, like looking at a crazy man, "What? Sorry? Pardon? What? Say it again? Her kid? Oh my god."
Brittany wondered if she might need to go back to sleep. All these might be just her dream. She really needed to take a nap to get rid of these illusions.
It was impossible for Stuart to find another woman to replace Edie, not to ntion to replace Edie with a woman with a kid.
She poked her skin hard. It hurt so much. Brittany finally acknowledged that everything that happened at the mont was real. His brother really did such a thing.
"Stuart, please, calm down. How could you betray Edie? She died for you. She died giving birth to your kid. It was just five years. Now you’ve found another woman, though she looks like Edie. Edie must feel so sad in heaven. How could you do this to her?"
"Really? Does she really look like Edie?"
"More than that. She was the sa as Edie."
Brittany rolled her eyes.
Out of Brittany’s expectation, Stuart continued, "Yes. Because she’s Edie."
"What!???"
Brittany froze completely, "Edie? But didn’t she pass away? So....was she cured? What have you done to her to make her wake up from death? What the hell...."
Brittany threw an eye on Edie. She looked so scared as if she was looking at a ghost.
Hearing the conversation, Edie was amused. She couldn’t help herself bursting into laughter.
"Stuart, could you stop frightening her? I didn’t pass away. I am still alive. I left him five years ago, and Norman faked my death. He used another woman’s corpse. You were all fooled by him. Now, I have co back. Laty, co on, your aunt."
Edie dragged Laty to Brittany.
Laty looked so indifferent.
On their way back to England, her parents were so busy talking to each other. She was left alone, like an abandoned orphan.
She thought she could get more love since she had one more parent. But it was not true. She got less.
She knew this would happen. She refused to co to England at the beginning. But Edie was so worried about her. Edie didn’t allow her to stay at ho alone. So Laty had to ask a week off to co to England to visit her relatives.
Laty had no choice but walked to Brittany and raised her proud face, "Hi, aunt. My na is Laty Lara. I am five years old. I am a girl. I just dress like a boy."
"Girl? Edie’s baby was a girl. So, you are not lying to . I have a nephew now?"
Brittany was the youngest girl in the Yates. Now when being called an aunt by a little girl, she felt quite strange.
And....so happy.
"Oh my god. I feel dizzy now. Get in the car. Tell everything in the car. Laty, co on into my arms. Wow. You looked so pretty, like your parents. You are gorgeous, why do you want to wear boy’s clothes? Go shopping with . I would buy lots of dresses for you, okay?"
"Dress?"
Hearing this word, Laty’s face changed imdiately as if she heard the most scared word in this world.
"No...."
Before she answered the question, Brittany already held Laty in her arms.
Brittany was so joyful. She asked them to get into the car and asked Edie everything. Edie explained all things that were happening in these five years in detail to her.
Brittany felt so unbelievable.
When they arrived at the Yates’ mansion, Brittany really wanted to take Laty to go shopping. But it was the first ti for Laty to et her grandma. It was not proper for her to take Laty away directly.
So Brittany had no choice but waited for Laty.
After Laty visited her grandmother, Brittany would take her away imdiately.
After putting their luggage down, the couple went to Bette’s house.
However, before they stepped out, they heard Bette’s voice.
When Bette got the ssage, she ca here imdiately.
"Mom."
When seeing the vice President at the door, Stuart pressed his lips and hesitated for a while. Finally, he said.
At the mont, Edie just walked out of the bathroom. When hearing this, she also froze slightly.
Brittany was playing with Laty. When hearing Stuart’s voice, she also trembled. She could not believe what she heard.
Bette was more shocked than anyone else. She fixed her eyes on her son. Her eyes were so gentle, filled with tears. She couldn’t find a word to reply, so she just kept nodding towards Stuart.
"Well...."
Edie walked to Stuart and hesitated for a while. Then she also greeted Bette, "Mom, co in, please. Laty, co on, co to see your grandmother."
Laty really wanted to get rid of Brittany. Brittany looked so enthusiastic about her. When hearing Edie’s calling, she imdiately jumped down from the sofa and ran towards the door, "Nice to et you, grandma. My na is Laty Lara."

She burst into tears with joy.
