"Lexi Lee," the staff finally got annoying.
"You dare to yell at . Do you want to fire you?" Lexi widened her eyes and pushed the staff away hard.
If Edie didn’t hold her behind, she might already fall on the ground.
The staff was the picture editor in the periodical office. She ca here today to be the temporary assistant for Lexi and check the film studio.
At the mont, she really didn’t know how to solve the problem. She knew she must be scolded after returning back to the company. She might even be fired.
When thinking about this, she got so upset that she burst into tears.
Seeing this, Edie imdiately walked to her to comfort her, "Don’t cry. I...I can pour a cup of tea for her..."
Edie finally made a concession.
Hearing this, Lexi imdiately showed a satisfied smile.
However, at the mont, Stuart’s face changed.
Soone dared to insult his lovely wife. Lexi might want to die soon.
Stuart got angry now. The result might be severe.
As Lexi was enjoying the result, Stuart said in a cold and sharp voice,
"Ivan, who is the most famous international model now?"
Hearing his question, Lexi imdiately burst into laughter.
"Handso boy, are you an idiot? You don’t even know who is the most famous model now? What are you doing here with a cara? Are you posing here?"
But Stuart didn’t even throw an eye on her. He said to Ivan on the other side, "Okay, ask her to co here. How long does she need?"
"Okay, one hour. Bring her here."
Then, Stuart hung down and buckled Edie’s small hands. Then he said, "Ivan said Nina would arrive in one hour."
"What?"
Even Edie was shocked.
Stuart might not know who Nina was. So he said these words in a quite casual voice. But Edie was so familiar with her. She was the top supermodel, the queen of the luxurious.
Would she really co to take photos of an ordinary fashion magazine?
Because it was such great news, Edie felt so excited that she felt a little dizzy at the mont.
"Are....are you sure?"
Edie swallowed her saliva and asked the question everyone at present wanted to ask him.
"You dare to suspect my words. I need to punish you."
Stuart flicked on her head, showing their love in front of everyone.
The editor choked at Edie’s arms and trembled. It was also hard to believe such great news, "Miss Jackson, who is he talking about just now?"
"Nina. Don’t worry, he never lies to . He tells Nina would arrive here in one hour. I am sure Nina would co."
"Really? That would be so great."
Because she cooperated with Edie before, she chose to believe Edie. Though she was still so nervous, she took a relief. She had nothing to be afraid of now. She already pissed Lexi off. She had no other choice now.
But Lexi didn’t believe Stuart or Edie.
If Edie made this call, she might believe Nina would co. But she didn’t know Stuart. She didn’t believe he could ask Nina to co here just by a call.
When she saw him playing the cara just now, she saw he must be Edie’s apprentice. How could he do this? How could he invite Nina to co here in one hour by a call? He must be kidding her.
Though indeed, he looked quite handso, that handso face would not give him such power.
Lexi sneered, "Helen, are you stupid? Now you even believe these crazy words. I know it is urgent. I am willing to cooperate. Change another photographer. I can start now. I would not request a lot this ti."
When hearing these words from herself, Lexi was also shocked.
She had made such a big concession. She really made her so cheap this ti.
Hearing Lexi’s voice, Stuart threw an eye on her.
All of a sudden, Lexi felt scared. But she didn’t know why.
That man....looked so powerful.
She couldn’t understand the aning of his eyes. But his eyes made her feel cold. Those eyes looked like a sharp, poisoned arrow.
Hearing Lexi’s words, Helen also felt difficult.
After all, she didn’t know whether Nina would co here or not, either. What if it was false?
She finally managed to make Lexi make such a big concession. Did she need to seize such a precious chance?
But....it was Nina. If Stuart really invited her to be the magazine’s cover, the magazine would definitely beco the most popular one in history.
Finally, Lexi took a deep breath and made the decision, "Sorry, Miss Jackson is invited by the headquarter. I couldn’t change her randomly. I need to ask the headquarter. I couldn’t make this decision."
"So you are going to kick out just for her, a photographer? Have you forgotten I haven’t signed the contract with your company," Lexi didn’t expect that editor dared to refuse her? She was so angry that her face was twitched. At the mont, she looked really funny.
"Miss Lee, I am sorry. You can choose either to cooperate with us or wait for Nina with us."
"Wow, so impressive. Look at you. You don’t really believe you can invite Nina here, right? According to what I’ve heard, she is now in Milan. How could it possible for her to co here to help you, just for a small periodical office? You must lose your mind. I think you can change your job now. You are so stupid. I can call your chief editor now to fire you. And I need her to change my photographer too."
Lexi was so rude. Her words sounded so terrible.
But Helen didn’t answer her. She just stood there, standing every word Lexi said.
Edie held Helen’s hands and tried to comfort her, "Don’t worry, I would not lie to you."
"Ha!"
Lexi rolled her eyes and dialed the chief editor’s number.
When the chief editor answered the phone, Lexi’s attitude changed imdiately. She even started sobbing in a low voice, as if she has really been wronged.
She told lots of things about how Edie and Helen treated her unfairly to her. But she never ntioned her being later for one hour and a half.
She kept describing how Helen cooperated with others to make her feel wrong. So it was perfectly rational for her to change her photographer and assistant.
Hearing her description, the chief editor fell into silence.
Lexi waited for her in silence patiently. She threw an eye on Edie as if she already knew she would win.
However, what the chief editor said in the following made Lexi freeze totally.
"I am sorry, Miss Lee. But Miss Jackson is our guest. She is more expensive than you. So I am afraid I have to let you down. Because I couldn’t change her."
"Are...are you kidding ? She is just a photographer. Is she more expensive than ? Are...are you kidding? What the hell is going on? Don’t hang down...."
But...it was too late.
Lexi turned around to look at Edie. She looked so angry and awkward. So funny.
At the mont, Edie got the chief editor’s call. They’ve cooperated with each other lots of tis. They were old friends now.
When Edie answered the phone, the chief editor imdiately apologized to her for the unpleasantness caused today.
