She was trying to get Mo Jun to open up, using a very skillful tactic, the kind where old people casually chat about daily life.
Seeing her so kind and amiable, a more naive girl would have told her everything.
Mo Jun answered in a way that revealed little, making it almost impossible for her to get anything out of her. By the end of the conversation, Mrs. Wei’s smile grew more benevolent, but the eyes she slightly lowered were sharp.
She inexplicably gave off a chill and dangerous vibe.
But Mo Jun remained as steady as a mountain and didn’t drink any of the tea offered.
"Xiaoyun, why aren’t you drinking tea? Surely you’re not afraid I’ve poisoned it?" Mrs. Wei joked.
Mo Jun smiled and said, "Madam, let’s speak plainly. I’m here to make a deal with you. As long as you release Mr. Charlie’s son, I promise to treat your son. Beyond that, I will defend myself and do what I must. I just hope that once this transaction is over, we can go our separate ways."
"Of course!" Mrs. Wei assured seriously, "Don’t worry, I have no ill intentions. As long as you agree to my conditions, everything can be discussed. After all, Charlie and I are old friends, and I would certainly not let anything happen to his child."
"That would be best."
Just as Mo Jun finished speaking, a subordinate ca to report that the laboratory was ready.
Mrs. Wei imdiately smiled and said, "Xiaoyun, how about this, there’s no need for you to study the Pill of Life. After all, even if you figure it out, I won’t know if it’s genuine or not. Mo Jun took the sample and listened as she spoke kindly and gently again, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, the one who is poisoned is Charlie’s youngest son. That little guy is only seven years old, just as handso and cute as his father."

She silently gripped the blood sample tightly, a flash of dark, icy coldness in her eyes.
"Madam, thank you for the reminder." She smiled faintly and went straight to the laboratory.
Following behind her, Yan Zhufei and Yun Long nearly couldn’t hold back from cursing!

The three of them entered the lab together, and Yan Zhufei couldn’t help but curse under her breath, "Damn old woman, I really want to kill her with one stab!"

"You, you’re really her apprentice?!" Yan Zhufei was shocked.
