"Too bad it’s too late."

"Don’t be fooled by Mr. Qingzhou’s youth. He has the character of a true scholar. He would never accept a student as ill-mannered as that."

"Rightly so."

anwhile, the scholars on Kangning Street used their convenient proximity to not only find out the details of the exhibition but also learn the verses of "Post-rain Reflections."

"Leaving Bai Di at dawn through morning clouds, a thousand miles to Jiangling in a single day."

"The monkeys’ cries on either bank are endless, as my light boat has already passed ten thousand peaks."

When the four lines of this peerless poem were revealed, the scholars on Kangning Street fell deathly silent.

It wasn’t so bad for the scholars who weren’t skilled in poetry.

The true poetry connoisseurs, the more they savored this work, the more they had to admit their own inferiority.

"Mr. Qingzhou’s ’Leaving Bai Di at dawn through morning clouds’ is a masterful line beyond the reach of re mortals. I am in complete admiration."

"A line like ’Leaving Bai Di at dawn through morning clouds’—isn’t it just like soaring through the air, riding the wind?"

"There’s more! The phrasing ’endless’ and ’already passed’ in the final couplet is simply subli, perfectly expressing the boat’s incredible speed."

"And as for the word ’Qingzhou’..."

Being scholars, they exchanged knowing smiles and offered an interpretation:

"It not only ans ’a light boat signifies a light heart,’ but it also reveals the master’s own na. The word ’Qingzhou’ is the masterstroke that brings it all to life."

Compared to his previous few poems, this ti Chen Yi’s "Post-rain Reflections" attracted even more attention because of his Perfection Realm Calligraphy Dao.

So who were already students of Guiyun Academy even sought out Mr. Yue Ming and the others to see the calligraphy piece with their own eyes.

For a ti, very few people on Kangning Street paid any more attention to matters like the Three Towns’ sumr grain or the instigation by the Barbarian Race.

This situation was obviously a welco developnt for the Xiao and Liu Families.

For a few select individuals, however, it was a more complicated matter.

On Kangning Street, inside the shop extrely close to Guiyun Academy.

Lou Yuxue directed two Iron Banner Officers disguised as shop assistants to set up the shop, all while keeping an eye on the surrounding activity.

She had, of course, heard the scholars’ discussions and seen the crowds flowing in and out of Guiyun Academy’s entrance.

She felt a bit conflicted.

’What is this? A complete windfall?’

Before Hawk Ge the Third left, he had given instructions to probe the Fledgling’s Calligraphy Dao Realm.

Before Lou Yuxue even had a chance to act, the Fledgling’s mastery of the Calligraphy Dao was already common knowledge.

’The Calligraphy Dao at the Perfection Realm.’

’That Fledgling has only been in Shu State for three months, and his Calligraphy Dao has advanced again and again. It’s truly...’

’That Hawk is so damn lucky.’

Lou Yuxue roughly knew Ge the Third’s mission, which was why she was sowhat envious.

After all, the advancent in the Calligraphy Dao was due to the Fledgling’s own talent and had nothing to do with Ge the Third.

But the result and the sensation it caused would all be credited to Ge the Third.

She reckoned that not only would he not be punished, but he might even receive a reward from the Lord Golden Banner Officer.

’Fortunately, with the sumr grain in Iron Wall Town being burned this ti, even if the Pavilion Master is displeased, he probably won’t punish us.’

’It’s just that the outco of the negotiations between the Xiao and Liu Families is sowhat unsatisfactory.’

Lou Yuxue knew that the re fact that news of Liu Wen appearing in Iron Wall Town hadn’t spread was enough to show that the Xiao and Liu Families had successfully made peace.

If those two great families’ talks had collapsed,

Liu Wen, Xiao Dongchen, and even that "Financier" would all have been exposed by the Xiao and Liu Families.

The situation in Shu State City would then beco several tis more chaotic than it was now.

Thinking about these things, Lou Yuxue instructed the people in the shop to continue with their preparations and went alone deep into the inner hall to find a copy of the play "Mandarin Duck Tower Record."

After a mont of thought, she took a small piece of paper and, referencing the "Mandarin Duck Tower Record" script, wrote a secret letter.

She not only wrote about the full story behind the burning of the Three Towns’ sumr grain and the man nad Liu Wu, but also included details on the Xiao and Liu Families, the current situation in Shu State, and the Fledgling’s Calligraphy Dao.

All in all, there were over a dozen pieces of information.

After finishing, Lou Yuxue confird there were no mistakes, tucked the slip of paper into a ssage tube on a falcon’s leg, and released it.

She watched the falcon fly far into the distance before turning to go downstairs.

’The Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, and Xiao Jinghong will be returning to the Prefecture City for a temporary stay. I’m afraid it will be difficult for to make any moves in the short term.’

’And then there’s the matter of Bright Moon Building...’

The falcon, with the white feathers on its head, obviously paid no mind to these mortal thoughts.

It took four hours to deliver Lou Yuxue’s secret letter to Guangyuan County, in the northernmost part of Shu State.

After a brief stop, it headed straight for the Capital Prefecture.

「Two days later.」

The white-headed falcon landed on the roof of the Fengyue Building, south of the Capital Prefecture’s Imperial City.

A mber of the White Tiger Guard, dressed in a black robe and wearing a plain white mask, hurried over and removed the ssage tube from the falcon’s leg.

The ssage was deciphered and confird to be correct.

Then, a mber of the White Tiger Guard in a red robe and white mask carried the letter with swift, silent steps to the deepest part of the third floor and knocked lightly twice on the wooden door.

"Pavilion Master, a letter from Shu State."
