She still rembered how he gently kissed her awake yesterday morning, telling her they would be late for school if she didn’t wake up.

So of it didn’t make sense, but it was all what she truly felt!

In the intensive care unit, everyone’s hearts were in their throats.
3rd hour after the surgery:
"Why hasn’t there been any sign of his fever receding? I feel like his temperature is getting even higher. Hua Hua, co and feel."
"It does seem to be hotter than before. What’s going on, aren’t the antibiotics working at all?"
10th hour after the surgery:
"Why hasn’t the fever subsided? I can’t bear it, it’s torture!"
"The doctor said that the fever should break within 24 hours, there are still 14 hours to go. Can you be a little quieter?"
"How can I stay calm? It’s driving crazy!"
15th hour after the surgery:
"This is not working, the fever hasn’t subsided. I can’t wait any longer, I’m going to fall apart. I’ll go summon the doctor, to see if there’s anything that can be done to break the fever."
