He was rather curious to see how the little Beetle managed to hold up amidst the onslaught of the two cars until now.
Shouldn’t he just blast the tires of that Beetle to see who’s inside? If not, with one smooth motion, all three cars could vanish before his eyes.
Luo Xi felt desperate; why weren’t there any heroes in this world to save the damsel in distress? Racing was indeed strenuous, especially when racing in a Beetle; her right hand felt as though it were about to break, when suddenly—
Through the rearview mirror, she saw the two cars sandwiching her lose control and overturn to the side of the road.
Eh? Was fortune smiling on her? Fantastic!
But her joy didn’t last for three seconds when she heard a bang and felt the back tire burst. Terrified, she quickly hit the brakes, the abrupt screech almost causing her Beetle to crash into a utility pole at the side of the road.
At that mont, right by the utility pole, a man in a uniform leaned back, blowing on the silencer of his black hand gun. The next second, through the windscreen, he flashed a handso grin at Luo Xi, who was shocked to the core. Damn, that pose was so cool, un-i-form s-ed-u-ction, her favorite!
At this mont, that "un-i-form s-ed-u-ction" briskly walked over to her, tapping her car window with his sleek silenced gun.
Luo Xi shook her head a little dazedly, quickly rolled down the window, and even whistled provocatively.
"Kid, you’ve wrecked my car, what are you gonna do about it?" She casually slid her wavy hair behind her, leaning on the window, she looked at Yan Fengchi arrogantly.
"Next Friday, Heishan North Third Ring. If you want to race, be there."
What the hell! Did she look like she wanted to race? She was being attacked for god’s sake! Luo Xi wanted to explode right there and then!
"But, you’ll need a better car. Otherwise, don’t embarrass yourself!"
Damn! Luo Xi felt that she didn’t explode on the spot entirely due to her utter exhaustion. She had to conserve her energy!
"Kid, compensate for my tire, and we’ll call it even!" Luo Xi extended her hand, challenging Yan Fengchi.
Yan Fengchi raised an eyebrow. She was interesting, still had the cheek to ask for the cost of a tire, despite the trouble he’d just saved her from a minute ago.
"I have no cash on , how about you co ho with to get it?" Yan Fengchi shrugged.
"I’ll take your NRS-2 there as the compensation." Luo Xi quickly replied, thinking only an idiot would go ho with him; wasn’t that walking into the lion’s den?
"Good eye." Yan Fengchi looked at the NRS-2 combination knife-gun in his hand. Not many people could identify his NRS-2, a weapon combining a knife and silenced gun. This woman was not one to underestimate.
"High praise indeed. So, will you compensate or not?"
"Sister Luo Xi?" From a distance, an excited voice called out. Chenxing had just crawled out of a black Maybach when she saw Yan Fengchi and Luo Xi sitting in the car. She broke into a run in their direction, yelling, "Sister Luo Xi, is that really you?"
"Chenxing?" Luo Xi was clearly a bit taken aback. Chenxing was the daughter of her aunt, her cousin.
She had originally returned to Canada to find her. But when she arrived at the Ye family house, they inford her that Chenxing had already left. She didn’t ask further, aware that Chenxing had faced discomfort while living with the Ye family. She presud Chenxing had left because it was unbearable to live there. Leaving was for the better, it’s always better to be free than to live off others!
