Chenxing’s heart hamred relentlessly within her chest. Perhaps she had grown less fearful of him in their ti together, understanding that he wouldn’t really harm her. So, she continued, "You’re simply unreasonable! No matter what I say, you always react with such hostility. How can anyone open to you like this? You can’t even let your own brother off the hook, and he’s your brother!!"
The anger within Gu Shaocheng was a burning inferno. His amber eyes, deep and inscrutable, bore into Chenxing.
The chilling aura he emanated in that mont was indescribable.
The word "terror" utterly failed to convey the icy dread that enveloped her.
"I’m unreasonable? Dare you repeat again that ’he’s my brother’?" Gu Shaocheng spoke in low, staccato beats, each word grinding from between his teeth.
An eerie silence pervaded the car in an instant.
For a mont, it felt as if even the sounds of breathing had disappeared.
The driver in the front seat was sweating cold, praying internally: Miss Chenxing, please stop provoking President Gu! Please, it’s not fun at all.
But Chenxing obstinately retorted, "Isn’t it true? Look at yourself right now. You are being unreasonable. You are not even willing to listen to reason. Fine, let’s not talk anymore. I don’t feel like talking to you anyway!"
Gu Shaocheng’s eyes glinted dangerously, ticulously scrutinizing the disdain in Chenxing’s gaze, igniting a cold smirk.
Reflecting in those eyes was an ominous undercurrent.
It was chillingly lethal.
Chenxing involuntarily shuddered, turning her face away and closing her mouth tightly, refusing to look.
She hoped that if she didn’t see him, she wouldn’t be scared.
Regrettably, even with her eyes averted, she could still sense the looming threat engulfing her, tightening its hold on her.
Today, Gu Shaocheng was in foul spirits, terribly so.
In fact, it had been a long ti since he had been so aggravated!
First, soone kidnapped Chenxing which forced him into a place where he swore he would never return. Then, this obstinate girl was pleading to him on behalf of her first love.

Thinking of this, Gu Shaocheng, looking at Chenxing who refused to et his gaze, cooled his fingertips. His icy voice tinged with nace, he warned, "Chenxing, I warned you. You chose not to listen. I dare you to tell , don’t I have the audacity to lay a finger on you?"
"What... What are you trying to do?"
The abrupt question startled Chenxing, causing her heart to race. For a mont, as she stared back into Gu Shaocheng’s eyes, her mind went blank, her only reaction a frantic shake of the head.
