Ling Yin shook his head, "I only know to call him Uncle Yuan, I don’t know his full na, and even my own parents, I only knew to call them Dad and Mom, without knowing their nas."
"All these years, you haven’t found out any nas?" Gu Shaocheng rested his arm on his knee, tapping twice with insistence. Did he take him for an idiot?
Following his words, Ling Yin thought for a mont before speaking, "Yuan Huoshan, thirty years ago, was very famous in Yunnan, China, made his fortune in the rubber business. After getting rich, he ventured into many areas, a person so might say was eager for quick success, offending people, and undergoing widespread purging. Little Chu and I were sent on a plane by Uncle Yuan to Canada around that ti, but as for where in Canada, I don’t really know, because there was a plane crash."
"After the plane crash, the two of us beca wanderers, drifted to the city, and beca part of a begging band. We were too young back then to understand anything, in a strange environnt where we didn’t even speak the language, and quickly fell target to a trafficking syndicate, becoming child beggars, puppets used to earn money for them."
He didn’t want to recall those past events too much, none of them were pleasant, the various hardships in retrospect had faded like an unknown story at high speed, but back then it was indeed like living in hell. Ling Yin succinctly touched upon those two years of life, and one can more or less imagine what kind of life it was.
He swallowed, adjusted his breath, and continued:
"It was probably around two years, we could never shake off that cri syndicate. There were many kids like us in there, so kids got sick, no money to treat them, their limbs rotted, so little kids had high fevers that wouldn’t go down, and died without anyone caring. Little Chu was really scared, to be honest, I was really scared too. We had thoughts of escaping."
"But we were ultimately too young, to shake them off was easier said than done, we failed twice, both tis captured again, and received severe punishnt. I don’t know how many tis it was, maybe it was divine intervention, but we actually managed to escape the inferno." He thought, it was truly divine love, or perhaps the ancestors’ protection.
Gu Shaocheng saw his emotions fluctuating, so he didn’t press further.
Ling Yin gazed into the endless grass in the distance, reminiscing those scenes, suddenly his voice turned slightly hoarse, "Little Chu and I decided to run our separate ways, arranged a rendezvous location, if we succeeded in escaping, we would et at the entrance of a McDonald’s. But since then, Little Chu and I completely lost contact. I shouldn’t have split up with him, nor did I et him at McDonald’s..." Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been separated!
Clearly, I promised Uncle Yuan that I would take good care of Little Chu in this life, yet I ended up losing him in the vast sea of people, never to be found again!
Thinking of this, Ling Yin felt he deserved death!
If only I had kept protecting him, how could I have let him experience being played with by n like that!
If only I had kept protecting him, how could he have beco deeply involved in an inappropriate relationship, unable to extricate himself for so many years in self-abuse?
If only I had kept protecting him, maybe he would now be relying solely on in the whole wide world! To be honest, he also had a strong sense of possession toward Little Chu!
"When our escape was discovered, the person controlling us caught , and I was injured. A kind-hearted woman saved ."
