"Let first investigate the situation," Gu Shaocheng said, rubbing her head.
Even though he was a mber of the Skull Society, he wasn’t clear about the internal matters. Not being in a high position, he didn’t understand their politics and needed about a month to get acquainted.
The car stopped at ho. Gu Shaocheng looked slightly tired.
He directly pulled Chenxing inside the house, only to find Zun Zun lying on the bed.
Gu Shaocheng looked at Chenxing inquiringly, and Chenxing replied sadly, "Zun Zun caught a cold and had a fever, but it has gone down now."
Gu Shaocheng nodded in relief, walked to the bed, and touched Zun Zun’s face. Standing behind him, Chenxing said gloomily, "Regardless of my desire to see Sheng Sheng, have you thought about Zun Zun? He and Sheng Sheng have been inseparable since childhood. Are you asking to tell him Sheng Sheng will never co back? When he was ill, he kept crying for Sheng Sheng. Gu Shaocheng leaned over and kissed his son’s face, removed his tie, and walked into the dressing room to change into more comfortable casual clothes. He wanted to take a nap. Chenxing was unwilling to sleep with him, so Gu Shaocheng had to sleep next to Zun Zun with his clothes on and said to Chenxing, "I will explain to Zun Zun."
Chenxing bit her lip, "I don’t care; I want to see Sheng Sheng every week. If I don’t see him, I won’t let this go."
Gu Shaocheng nodded and beckoned her to co over. Chenxing snorted, turned around, and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Gu Shaocheng closed his eyes and then opened them to look at Zun Zun, tracing Sheng Sheng’s face. Zun Zun stirred slightly, his big eyes opening drowsily, looking at Gu Shaocheng. Whether he was fully awake was unclear as he put his arms around Gu Shaocheng’s neck, snuggled into his embrace, and fell back to sleep.
So dependent.
Did Sheng Sheng also want to depend on him?
Gu Shaocheng stroked Zun Zun’s hair, mories of Sheng Sheng relying on him flashing through his mind like a movie. But the fragnts he could recall were pitifully few. Sheng Sheng had always been calm and restrained, rarely showing dependence like Zun Zun, but this didn’t an Sheng Sheng didn’t rely on his parents.
Gu Shaocheng had a similar disposition, so he understood Sheng Sheng’s reserved nature.
Feeling guilty, yet unable to express it.
He took out his phone, intending to call Qianqian, but hesitated and instead sent a text, not wanting to wake Zun Zun.
"How is Sheng Sheng?"
"Bro, I haven’t seen Sheng Sheng for many days, just heard from Chao Lu that Sheng Sheng has a strong adaptability," Gu Qianqian replied quickly in her ssage, "Bro, did you get what you wished for?"
"Yes."
Gu Qianqian took a deep breath, "That’s great then."
"In a few days, I’ll send soone over. If you want to co back, take the private jet, I’ll have soone pick you up."
But Gu Qianqian hesitated, "I don’t want to go back for the ti being."
Gu Shaocheng paused, "Really interested in Chao Lu?"
Gu Qianqian didn’t reply.
It was a quiet small house in a peaceful manor, very suitable for living. There were many plants planted in front of the door, and there was a swing in the garden. Gu Qianqian’s lifestyle was usually very fast-paced, spending all her ti doing research at the institute. It was only recently she’d realized life could have an alternative form, like sitting on the swing, closing her eyes, and quietly watching the clouds drift by.
Isn’t this a bit pretentious?
Gu Qianqian laughed at herself twice, picked up a book, sat on the swing, and leisurely began to read.
