"You’re not famous, who’s inviting you?" Gu Shaocheng pinched her cheek, "Do you want to go in and walk around? Or change course to go shopping?"
"I want to go to the school anniversary, maybe I’ll run into many old classmates."
After being with Shaocheng for so many years, she initially kept in touch with high school classmates, but gradually, the differences in status made those classmates contact her less and less. Chenxing couldn’t hide her smile, Gu Shaocheng held her hand, "Let’s go, buy a cup so your husband can try it."
"Do you like to drink?"
"I’ll have a sip, you drink the rest."
Chenxing smiled, very pleased, she already slled a faint fragrance in the air.
With the milk tea bought, Chenxing cradled it in both hands, Gu Shaocheng naturally held her as they walked, laughing.
He was so tall and imposing, wearing a high-end custom suit, a textured and sexy tie, a crisp white shirt, and shiny leather shoes, exuding a kingly aura from head to toe, exceptional and extraordinary. Even in the crowded school, one could spot his outstanding presence at a glance.
Chenxing proudly looked at her husband, smiling smugly, sipping her milk tea, occasionally pointing at a particular tree, saying she loved sitting under that tree to read back in the day; passing a pavilion, she’d say how she used to sit there with her best friends during morning reading class to practice Spanish.
At this ti, a current student handed them a flyer for the school anniversary. Chenxing waved it, "Shaocheng, let’s make a donation?"
Donating to the alma mater seed to be a very popular activity at today’s school anniversary.
Gu Shaocheng empty-handed: "No money."
"Stingy!" Chenxing snorted, unceremoniously took the wallet from his pocket, pulled out a thick wad of Canadian Dollars, and searched everywhere for a donation box, only to have it snatched back by the stingy man, who pitifully said, "That’s all the money I have, if I donate it all, how will I treat my wife to a candlelit dinner later?"
"You’re really stingy!"
Gu Shaocheng smiled again, "Just stingy."
Chenxing sulked and stuck out her tongue, pulling his hand, "I’ll show you the school I used to teach at, it seems class is canceled today, not sure if they’ll let us into the classrooms, I used to like carving words into the desks."
"Damaging school property."
Chenxing stuck out her tongue again.
A few classmates saw her from afar, but Chenxing didn’t notice, still chattering away to Gu Shaocheng about childhood stories, imrsed in the happiness of their world of two, while Gu Shaocheng remained ever elegant and gentlemanly, quietly listening, occasionally adding a few complints.
"Chenxing." A voice suddenly called out, and when Chenxing looked up, Xia Jianqing and a few others had already walked up to her: "You’re here too, we were just talking. We tried calling you but noticed you seed to have changed your number; none of us have your new number, couldn’t get in touch."
