The dical team is always assigned five logistic support soldiers on each outing, responsible for their safety. They adhere to the principle of not firing the first shot, but they can defend themselves if attacked.
The vehicle ca to a quick stop when about twenty people erged from the jungle. The five support soldiers imdiately engaged in a firefight with them. But they were outnumbered. Within just a few minutes, the situation was controlled by the ambushers. All twenty of them surrounded the dical team. A shirtless man pointed a gun at the driver, shouting in heavily accented English, "You, get out, doctor, we need! dicine, we need too!"
The car door was kicked open violently. Nobody was prepared. The group seed to desperately need doctors and dicine. They were relatively polite to those in white coats, not hurting anyone, but they still pointed their guns at them!
Only the driver and the five support soldiers were left behind as the gunn drove away with the vehicle.
"What do you want to do?"
The young black man holding the gun, lean in body with bright eyes, responded reluctantly in an amicable manner: "We need doctors and dicine. You must co with us. We do not want to harm you, and we hope you will cooperate!"
"But where are you taking us?" A doctor asked fearlessly.
The young black man gazed coldly at the doctor, gun still pointed at him. "You will know when we get there! Don’t ask too many questions!"
The leader of their group was seriously ill and could not go to the local hospital for treatnt. They could not find a doctor either. Losing their minds amidst the urgent downpours a few days ago, they finally managed to ambush a dical team vehicle on this road today!
Chenxing gripped Luo Xi’s hand tightly. She recalled an ard night raid on the peacekeeping force four months ago. The raid was executed by a group who killed without blinking an eye, refusing to surrender their weapons to the local governnt and would often intercept peacekeeping transportation on the halfway.
