Then she quickly slipped away.
The conditions on the dical team were rudintary. They couldn’t prepare a separate room for Gu Shaocheng, let alone spare him a bed, which was the greatest favor they could do. After swallowing the dicine with water, Gu Shaocheng silently watched her. He kept observing her until Chenxing began to involuntarily avoid his gaze. Only then did he slowly say, "I rember telling you not to call Mr. Gu. That’s for everyone else."
Chenxing smiled faintly: "Then you rest well. If you need anything, press the button by the bed. I’ll co over when I hear the bell."
Then, not looking at him again, she turned and left.
Gu Shaocheng’s face was stiff. Watching her back, he finally asked the question on his mind, "Chenxing, do you hate ?"
Chenxing’s steps didn’t falter. Gu Shaocheng repeated, "Answer my question!"
But the door to the ward had already closed. As Chenxing walked out, she took a deep breath. Hate him?
She looked up at the sky. There was a doctor on their dical team who believed in Jesus and encouraged her to do the sa. He said not to harbor any hatred. Hatred would warp one’s soul. Once the seed of hatred was planted, even if you tried not to nurture it, it would grow in your heart and eventually consu your soul, blocking the light that could brighten your spirit. It would hurt you your whole life.
Only by letting go of hatred could the sun shine brightly above. There were more important things in this world than hatred. She just wanted to live a peaceful and fulfilling life.
