Hua Hua stamred a few tis before saying, "The fireworks you prepared for tonight, for so reason, they’re going off outside right now. Brother, didn’t you say you wanted to share a romantic mont with Chenxing..."
Before Hua Hua could finish, Gu Shaocheng laughed and shook his head, "Impossible."
With confident deanor, he completely disbelieved what he had said.
At this ti, Nan Baihao walked over, rubbing his head, "What’s going on? Why have they gone off early? Did you press the remote control—"
Before Baihao could finish speaking, Shaocheng’s smiling face instantly contorted and his deanor changed radically. He stood up abruptly, his voice was not loud, but it revealed his disbelief, "Where is my remote control?"
He searched all his pockets. His voice was no longer calm and composed. He was fumbling around like he’d seen a ghost.
Bai Wuqing rolled his eyes, "Brother, did you lose it?"
Shaocheng suddenly froze in silence. Before he could explain anything, he had already darted out of the banquet hall. The sight of the fireworks bursting in the sky, casting splendid colors, painted the night sky so brilliantly that it took his breath away.
The exclamations of surprise from the crowd didn’t reach his ears.
All he could think about at that mont was the tumultuous swirl of expletives flashing in his mind.
Shaocheng quickly headed towards the inner courtyard, mumbling to himself in his mind, perhaps unaware that not everything was completely ruined for the evening.
Who had taken his remote control?
He was certain he put it in his trouser pocket when he changed his pants!
Pondering it now was pointless.
Underneath the glistening lights, there were only his hurried footsteps.
Underneath the shroud of night, whose love story was yet to unfold...
...
Underneath the beautiful fireworks, Chenxing was behaving like a rry child, strolling along the winding corridors. She stopped in a pavilion that was gorgeously decorated, sitting on a redwood bench by the pavilion, a mysterious smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.
She rested her head against a column, with her knees bent on the long bench. Her hands were on the pavilion’s handrail, playfully twirling a twig in her hand, poking at the water’s surface.
Her entire presence seed to blend harmoniously with the picturesque surroundings, like a scene from a painting, blurring the lines of reality.
Chenxing was humming a song to herself, as her sweet voice floated through the air of Bihe Garden.
From the other end of the corridor, Shaocheng was making his way towards her, stepping into the multihued lights, caught up in a realm of poetry and distance. Looking at the woman in a cheongsam gown, playfully sitting in the pavilion, her skin, even in the moonlight, seed impeccable under the veil of night.
His eyes were drawn to one woman, perating a classical allure, a blend of seduction and ethereal purity. He wished he could shower her with the most exquisite words of praise, even a celestial nymph couldn’t compare to her.
At the sound of footsteps, Chenxing turned slowly, as if in slow motion.
With one glance, her eyes t his.
She parted her lips slightly, her phoenix eyes twinkled and with a sweet voice, tinged with warmth, she said, "Shaocheng, you’ve arrived?"
These simple, ordinary words, in context, revealed an unsophisticated beauty that seed transcendent. The backdrop of lanterns swaying in the breeze, neon lights shimring in vivid colors, faint scent of lotus filled the air and fireworks trailing off in the sky...
All these elents made her appear even more beautiful, beautiful enough to make any man’s heart tremble.
With one rearward glance, do you know who it was that stiflingly admired your fleeting beauty?
... I will continue the updates tomorrow, as I haven’t finished writing for today.
