Chenxing was sowhat struggling to catch up with his pace.
As Gu Shaocheng was walking her to the car, he simultaneously pulled open the door of the front passenger seat. He let out a sigh of realization inside.
Won, they always had to be appeased.
Chenxing, surprised by his solicitude, got into the car as he insisted. She glanced to the side, watching him lean his upper body in, close to her, while he was fastening her seat belt. Her heart suddenly softened, a mix of sour and sweet emotions flooded her. His reconciliatory attitude was so obvious, she didn’t know how to respond.
She suddenly felt sowhat ridiculous.
"Shaocheng, I’m sorry for stealing your personal seal and forging a docunt this morning," she apologized willingly.
Gu Shaocheng’s heart softened as well, he let out a faint hum in response: "As long as you understand."
After fastening the seatbelt, he pulled back a bit, pinched her nose, and in a stern but firm tone, he said to the repenting little girl, "I was wrong too. Let’s call it even, don’t ss with again, okay?"
His words were commanding, but there was a tone of compromise.
Chenxing nodded, slightly lowering her head, sniffed, and embarrassingly asked, "Will you stop hitting from now on?"
To that, Gu Shaocheng abruptly responded, which made her elated heart instantly plumt, "I will if you misbehave."
"What?" She raised her voice and imdiately lifted her small chin in defiance.
"What do you an ’what’?"
Chenxing pouted and turned her head away.
Seeing her acting like a petulant little woman, Gu Shaocheng found it amusing but irritating and said, "I can’t hit you for misbehaving? What kind of temper is that?"
"It’s embarrassing," her nose prickled with the onset of tears, she pursed her lips and sulked, "I am grown up, and you still smack my bottom, I would rather you hit my palm."
"There’s more fat on your butt, your other places... what if I don’t gauge the force properly and hurt you?" He took pleasure in watching her argue, as Chenxing’s voice choked and grew shriller, "You must not smack my bottom! I am... I am nineteen, I care about my dignity, understand?"
"What has this got to do with dignity?"
"It’s embarrassing, and I feel like I can’t show my face in public!" She bit her lower lip in anguish while holding back the surging tears, causing Gu Shaocheng’s heart to ache. He rubbed her nose teasingly, "What’s so embarrassing about being spanked by a couple of tis?"
"It’s super embarrassing. I wish I could crawl into a crack in the ground out of humiliation. Let smack your bottom and see if you feel ashad then."
She felt heartbroken.
She hadn’t obtained the concession she desired. What if he hit her again in the future?
It was heart-wrenching and physically painful...
With that thought in mind, she couldn’t stop the tears that welled up, spilling down to her cheek, landing on the back of his hand.
"Why are you crying again?" Gu Shaocheng frowned, wiping away the tears brimming in the corner of her eyes with a gentle voice. Chenxing stubbornly pursed her lips, looking away from him, "I am upset, I feel suffocated...".
"Alright, alright, no matter what you do wrong, I will never hit you." He made a firm promise reluctantly, seeing her tear-streaked eyes broke his heart.
Her dull eyes instantly brightened up: "Really?"
He nodded.
Chenxing quickly extended her little pinky finger: "Pinky promise."
A pinky promise, Gu Shaocheng watched her action, chuckled and shoved the flowers into her outstretched hand "Childish!"
Then, he stuck out his head and closed the car door, saying sothing she didn’t quite understand, "I dare not hit you anymore, otherwise the God of Misfortune will punish !"
