Before they worked on the accounts, Gu Shaocheng had made it clear to her that if he wasn’t satisfied, she would have to recreate so highly challenging scenes from a movie for him tonight...
Ugh, just the thought of it made her nervous. The thoughts of the movie scenes, her waist, her flexibility, her shyness; her face eventually turned red, from the ears to the neck. She couldn’t possibly recreate those scenes...
Gu Shaocheng was signing the docunt and realising her sudden blush, a playful grin unveiled on his face.
He paused, lifted his head, and asked, "Hot? Should I turn down the air conditioning?".
"Yes, thank you!" She also felt the room temperature was a bit high, making her uncomfortably warm all over.
He adjusted the room temperature with a remote, glancing casually at the account book on her desk, and broke into a smile, " Do you want to take it back and improve it a bit? Rember, if I’m not satisfied, tonight you will have to..."
His comnts made her even more nervous.
"No...no need, right?" It should be okay, right? She had revised it several tis already.
"Oh..." Gu Shaocheng nonchalantly responded and then picked up the account book. He casually flipped through it, but his brows furrowed a couple of tis, making Chenxing even more anxious.
Was it really that bad?
But she shouldn’t be held to such high standards, right? After all, this was her first ti doing the accounts. She was barely halfway through the sester before she had to take a break from school, hustling to earn that two hundred thousand, and having to be dragged into workouts by him. She felt like there weren’t enough hours in the day.
"Hmm..."
Gu Shaocheng suddenly humd and furrowed his brows even further.
"What’s wrong?"
Was there a huge problem? Oh no, Chenxing froze. She was going to be punished tonight for sure. Her mood sank, and she instinctively sniffled.
With a mischievous grin, Gu Shaocheng looked at her for a mont before giving her back the account book. "Send the digital version to Little Secretary A. Have her find an accountant to help you revise it and see where you need improvent."
She wanted to cry, "So, I didn’t pass?"
Chenxing felt dejected until Gu Shaocheng said, "It’s diocre. I’ll give you a 95."
He dropped the comnt casually and continued reviewing the docunt.
"What?" The beaming Chenxing suddenly got annoyed. Her eyes brightened, and her facial expressions changed too quickly to appear natural. She jumped excitedly.
"A 95 is diocre to you? You set too high of a standard!" She protested, suddenly confident, waving the account book in front of him, "This is the first ti I’ve done an account book, and I got a 95. Why did you try to scare by acting as if it was terrible? You nearly gave a heart attack!"
"You’re getting so excited just because you didn’t get a perfect score? How can my student settle for being just average?" He raised an eyebrow, looked at her with the corner of his eyes, and waved dismissively, "Go away, you’re hopeless."
Well, one must learn to be modest, especially in front of a perfectionist like Gu Shaocheng.
Chenxing was overco with a sense of relief as if she’d been granted a new lease of life!
