"Keep a close eye on the hospital and report any changes to at once," the man pondered regretfully that the patient hadn’t died, "Have we found Little A yet?"
"Not yet. She disappeared after Gu Shaocheng had his accident."
"Why haven’t we found her? We must find her before Gu Shaocheng’s people do. And then... get rid of her!" He spoke softly, his tone calm and unruffled, as if he were a man not easily moved to anger. But his bodyguard knew better than to take his master for a pushover.
He reveled in operating from the shadows, just like now, lurking behind the dark window, observing the scenery outside. This way, only others could beco part of his view, while he remained unseen in their eyes.
Gu Shaocheng, it’s surprising that a fall from the cliff didn’t kill you instantly. You certainly have a large amount of luck. I find this ga truly delightful... And then... he gave a dark smile, his lips curled up.
........................
A soft bang echoed through the room.
The operating room door was flung open. Gu Qianqian, accompanied by a superior dical team, burst in.
Blood-soaked gauze filled the area around the operating table.
Gu Qianqian fixed her gaze on the barely breathing Gu Shaocheng, and quickly scrutinized the data on the dical instrunts before her lips tightened.
Bai Wuqing followed in her wake, "Gu Qianqian, what are you trying to do?"
Two bodyguards flanked Gu Qianqian, one on each side, their hands poised at their waists, ready to grab their weapons.
Chenxing looked confusedly at the unfamiliar woman and the tense n.
Finally, Gu Qianqian, who had been solely focused on Gu Shaocheng, dissipated the tension: "What am I doing? He’s my brother. I don’t want to see him die any more than any of you. It does no good if he dies! What do you think I can do under these circumstances?"
As Gu Qianqian hastily donned the doctor’s coat given to her by the bodyguard, she gave orders with efficiency and competence: "This operating room is now occupied. My dical team is taking over my brother’s treatnt. Those unrelated to this matter must leave now. Wasting rescue ti is a price you can’t afford!"
Gu Qianqian. A Harvard dical student, and Gu Shaocheng’s half-sister from a different mother.
Although Gu Shaocheng was illegitimate, Gu Qianqian was a bona fide daughter of the Gu family. However, her father’s early death left her and her mother without a pillar in the Gu family. Things improved when Gu Shaocheng assud control of the family. Their relationship was lukewarm, but their life was better than when their father was absent. So she was right, Gu Shaocheng’s death would bring her no benefits.
Despite their estranged relationship, she couldn’t just stand by and let him die. Nan Baihao had run off to Arica to find a doctor, even calling on her ntor. As a direct relative, she was notified and had rushed to the hospital.
She had previously been hosting a party at her house with her classmates, who also returned to China with her, intending to start a road trip together the next day. She knew sothing was wrong as soon as she had received the news and had imdiately rushed over.
She was on the verge of graduating from one of the best dical schools in Arica. Her classmates were on the sa level. Even though they hadn’t graduated yet, their dical knowledge was top-tier worldwide.
Without any further delay, she and her dical team imdiately got to work!
