He stood up, saying, "I’m going to check on his injuries."
The other few uncles also stood up. Gu Qianqian followed behind Gu Fei, talking as they went, "Uncle, my brother’s condition is not very good, his bedroom needs a sterile environnt, so having so many people rush in is more harmful than helpful for him. How about you go in alone to talk to him? I’ll arrange things on my end."
"Honestly speaking, ever since my brother fell ill, he’s beco easily angered. He releases his fury over the smallest upset. I’ve been scolded by him several tis. If so many people suddenly go in and disturb his rest, I’m afraid he might lose his temper again." Gu Qianqian talked while forcing a bitter smile, "Of course, I’m not saying my brother would disrespect you. He definitely won’t get angry at you. I’m just the unlucky one who has to bear his wrath."
"Qianqian, after all these years of absence, you’ve gotten so close with Shaocheng?" Gu Fei acknowledged with a nod while continuing to walk, "You all stay here, I’ll go check on him myself."
His only goal was to confirm the current state of his injuries, and whether it was as dangerous as the outside world rumored.
Gu Qianqian smiled awkwardly, "I was childish when I was young, but now that I’m grown up, I realize how important family is. Having a brother is definitely better. As I beco more sensible, our relationship has beco much closer." Without this brother, if soone else took charge of the house, would she still have everything she desired like she does now?
I’m not a fool, Gu Qianqian scoffed in her heart.
When it’s ti to show a united front, we must decisively stand together.
..............................
Inside the bedroom, Gu Fei had just entered when he saw a bump in the high bed and two people lying on the bed. From where he stood, he could only see two heads.
As he tried to get closer, he was stopped by Gu Qianqian’s smiling face.
Gu Fei’s face darkened, "What’s going on?"
Gu Qianqian looked troubled, "Uncle, my brother’s injuries are critical. The disinfection you just did was rely basic. If you get too close and bacteria get on my brother, it wouldn’t be good."
"Brother, uncle has co to see you," Gu Qianqian said towards the head of the bed.
The bed moved slightly, then Gu Shaocheng’s weak voice could be heard, "Um, sit."
At the simple instruction, the butler brought a chair over. Gu Fei, looking old and weary, sat down, looked at the cover and spoke in his usual haughty tone, "How did you end up so badly injured? How could you be so careless? There are many people out there who want to harm you."
Chenxing was extrely nervous. Looking at the ssages on the MSN on the bed, his heart pounding, he took several deep breaths and continued to read the ssages on MSN, accompanied by an indifferent snort, "It depends on whether they have the capability to take my life. Third Uncle, I’m alright. Why are you here? You could have let know, so I could’ve sent soone to pick you up."
"It’s always best to be cautious. Since you’re calling Third Uncle, you should heed my advice. Be careful in all you do. Where are you injured?"
As he spoke, he stood to try and get closer. "Gu Shaocheng" chuckled, "It’s nothing, I just injured my leg and may have to rest for a while. They’re making a fuss, treating like a serious patient. It’s extrely annoying."
Gu Qianqian imdiately walked up, unnoticeably blocking Gu Fei’s path while complaining to Gu Shaocheng, "Patients should listen to their doctor. How is my care excessive? You’re the head of the household. If anything happened to you, who could bear the responsibility? I am ticulous in my care, but you’re always getting angry for no reason. I’ve never seen soone as difficult as you. No matter what I do, it’s wrong."
