Her unrestrained tears were not wiped away, her voice chocked, her eyes blurred as she gazed at him, "Shaocheng... don’t leave ... I won’t say it’s painful anymore... I’ll endure... don’t leave ... I’ll be good... I’ll do as I’m told..."
Hearing her plea, Gu Shaocheng was taken aback, his previously stubborn heart suddenly softened. He didn’t know what to do with this obedient girl who was treading so lightly around him. He muttered a few words to comfort her and carried her to the bathroom.
