The two of them walked under the dazzling lights, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder. The quiet night sky occasionally filled with Chenxing’s sweet laughter.
"Shaocheng, let’s have a good sleep tonight. Our friends and I have planned a full day of fun tomorrow." Chenxing, lifting her chin, laughed sweetly, "And don’t be too sad. I believe your mom and dad must be as happy as we are right now: strolling happily in heaven."
Gu Shaocheng reached out and gently touched her hair, tousled by the sea breeze.
His lips moved faintly, but he didn’t know what to say.
From behind them, the tinkling laughter of a girl echoed. They turned around simultaneously, only to see Tian Junhao carrying a girl on his back. A lyrical old song began to play slowly in the night sky.
Tian Junhao’s singing voice seed to pierce the sky.
"Who holds my hand, calming my half lifeti of madness;
Who kisses my eyes, covering my half lifeti of wanderlust;
Who touches my face, comforting half my lifeti of sorrow;
Who holds my heart, lting half my lifeti of frostiness;
Who supports my shoulders, dispelling a lifeti of silence.
Who stirs my heart, protecting from a lifeti of hardships.
Who leaves behind, leaving with a lifeti of solitude;
Who can understand , making this life worthwhile;
Who can aid , making unmatched for a thousand years;
Who can tilt my heart, making a piece of land seem as wide as heaven;
Who can bury my sorrows, laughing at the universe’s vanity, my heart wild.
She, who covers my lips, eliminating my past of wanderlust;
She, who holds in her arms, ridding of my past frivolity.
Holding your hand, accompany you in madness for a thousand lives;
Deeply kissing your eyes, accompanying you for countless reincarnations.
Holding your hand, sharing with you a lifeti of hardships;
Kissing your eyes, gifting you a lifeti of deep affection."
Huanhuan was laying on Tian Junhao’s back, laughing tinklingly. She quickly overtook Chenxing and Gu Shaocheng, who were standing still. She waved her hand, "Chenxing, goodnight! Don’t forget our plan for tomorrow."
Then she turned her head, gently knocking it against Tian Junhao’s shoulder, "Hao, sing that song again. I love this song, Hao Hao, okay?"
"I’ll teach you how to sing it."
"Nope, I just want to hear you sing..."
And then, the passionate song began to play again under this romantic sea and sky.
Chenxing nestled into Gu Shaocheng’s arms, watching the departing couple, she smiled at Gu Shaocheng and said, "Holding your hand, to accompany you in a thousand years of madness. Shaocheng, listen, what a moving song."
Gu Shaocheng smiled faintly, kissing her hair. In his heart he thought sadly: It’s a pity that I cannot gift you a lifeti of deep affection.
But the next second, the large palm that wrapped around her small hand tightened just a bit.
His conversation with Tian Junhao had given him a new perspective!
The pale moonlight cast upon his face. He lowered his head slightly. Every gaze, every heartbeat of hers, seed to be imbued with dazzling radiance.
"Chenxing," he called her na, full of deep affection.
"Hm?"
His mouth moved slightly, but in the end, he only said two words: "Sleep."
Deep into the night, the two of them slept in each other’s arms.
In the middle of the night, Chenxing awoke suddenly from a nightmare. She shrank back into his arms, clinging to him tightly, pulling his arm over her back.
Gu Shaocheng was awakened by her small gesture.
"What’s wrong?"
Chenxing shuddered, "I had a nightmare, it scared to death."
Gu Shaocheng chuckled softly, patting her back to calm her.
Chenxing clung to him even more tightly. The thought of her dream sent shivers down her spine. In the end, she clutched him ever so tightly, it seed as though only when she held him this tightly, did she feel safe.
