A car sped wildly through the darkness.

She was really pregnant?
A multitude of thoughts rushed through his mind. He knew that the heavens had always treated him, Gu Shaocheng, well. Whatever he asked for, he received. The phrase ’she’s pregnant’ was the sweetest thing he had ever heard. He’d been utterly entranced by these words, manic with happiness to the point where he couldn’t resist flooring the accelerator.
No longer would he have to endure Baihao’s gloating, or listen to Wuqing’s lancholic stories about his relationship with his son, which never failed to stir up feelings of jealousy and envy.
See, Gu Shaocheng was also about to beco a proud dad.
The strong man gripped his steering wheel tighter, he could barely wait another second before storming into the KTV to hold the woman who was pregnant with his child and shower her with affection.
Recently, they had been continuously arguing over the idea of having a child. Coupled with his illness, he felt his world was never sunny. But now, everything seed bright. It was as if he had found a glimr of hope in a seemingly desperate situation.
Now that they had a son, no matter what might happen in the future, at least he felt so sense of security.
It would be best if they had two, but if they only had one... well, that’s not a problem. There wasn’t anything in the world that could stump him, although it might be a bit botherso.
Gu Shaocheng’s mood suddenly lifted.
In his mind, he even started to picture a warm and happy scene: a child, a wife, a warm ho.

The car abruptly pulled up in front of a KTV. The sudden stop caused the tires to emit a piercing screech as they skidded against the ground.
Even worse, he accidentally scratched a car parked nearby. The car owner got out, ready to blow up, but Gu Shaocheng quickly pulled out a wad of Canadian dollars from his wallet and gave him a business card, "If it’s not enough, call this number!"
Then, he rushed towards the entrance of the KTV, as light as a feather.
A hidden guard had been waiting outside and imdiately greeted Gu Shaocheng when they saw him.
He was beaming, "Where is she?"
"She’s in room 305. Miss Chen Xing is singing alone in there."
Gu Shaocheng nodded. He figured that she might be a bit upset. Any woman hearing about his deal, while being pregnant, wouldn’t be happy. That’s probably why she was here alone, singing her heart out. She had always been resistant to bearing his child, which likely made her even more upset.
Thinking of this, he felt a knot in his heart, a hint of unease erging.
But it quickly dissipated.
Perhaps because his mood was so good that nothing could affect his excitent. He swiftly arrived at the door of room 305, paused deliberately, freshened up his look a bit, and then pushed open the door of the room leisurely.
The room was dimly lit. A song played automatically on the KTV machine and Gu Shaocheng’s gaze swept across the room from left to right. He quickly spotted Chenxing lying on the sofa.
He groped for the light switch on the wall, flipped it, and then walked lightly towards her.
Suddenly he realized her eyes were tightly closed, hands covering her stomach, brow furrowed. She appeared to be in severe pain.
Gu Shaocheng’s heart pounded in his chest, he hurried over to her, kneeling at her side, lightly stroked her pale cheek, "Chenxing, what’s wrong?"
