Chenxing looked down at her torn dress and, in that mont, she could think of nothing but escape.
But as soon as she took a step, the angry woman rushed over saying, "My dress is dirty, and you’re not getting away!"
She stepped heavily down, pinning the hem of Chenxing’s dress under her foot. With a cry of shock, Chenxing was about to et an unfortunate end...
Her perfect dress uttered a tearing sound as it was ripped apart from the waist upwards, leaving her skin bare inch by inch...
The thin fabric was too fragile to withstand the stress, and now it was starting to slide down from her chest area...
Chenxing was running so quickly that she couldn’t save herself, let alone cover herself. Seeing herself about to fall into a sea of broken glass, she cried out in desperation: "Shaocheng..."

In a flash, a man is seen running from a distance — an instinctive action as he bolted from ters away!
Along the way, he even collided with a person.
He couldn’t stop; a trembling heart softened as he watched a girl falling towards broken glass pieces.

Right before Chenxing’s frail body hit the shattered glass, Gu Shaocheng, without a thought, laid himself down on the ground covered in glass shards.
At the brink of Chenxing’s fall, he deftly caught the panicked girl.
Audible gasping sounds rippled through the crowd.
Everyone was astonished, staring at the man and woman lying on the floor.
Ti seed to stand still at that very mont.
Various expressions were frozen on everyone’s faces — so with mouths agape, eyes wide-open, hands covering faces, different emotions, different perspectives...
Hua Hua and Nan Baihao realized the situation, they shouted and rushed towards them.
"Oh God..."
"My goodness..."
None of these voices or expressions registered with Chenxing. She was only focused on the man who cushioned her fall, his strong, warm arms, and his sturdy, gentle chest. One second, two seconds, three seconds... Five seconds later, there was a flicker in Chenxing’s eyes...
Hua Hua and Nan Baihao finally arrived, "Brother, brother are you okay?"
Chenxing snapped back to reality, her mind blank. As she was helped up, Gu Shaocheng was right behind her. He examined her up and down before turning to Hua Hua, "Take off your coat!"
Hua Hua didn’t catch on right away, "Huh? What?"
Gu Shaocheng grabbed the torn dress that kept sliding down and growled, "Your coat!"
"Oh..." Slow to respond, Hua Hua took off her coat. The next second, it was yanked from her hands and draped onto Chenxing’s shoulders. He bent his head, his long fingers, button by button, fastened the coat. He let out a breath, relieved.
Suddenly, a sharp slap echoed.
The quiet banquet hall was ripped apart by the sudden noise, jolting and invading everyone’s ears.
The first thing Gu Shaocheng did after helping Chenxing was to give a resounding slap to the culprit. His voice was filled with anger and frightening, "You dare to bully anyone without seeing clearly who she is, or did my words go in one ear and out the other earlier?"
