Chenxing braced herself and snuggled more into his arms. She knew he disliked drunk won, but at this very mont, holding him close made her feel alive.
She didn’t want him to abandon her.
Why wouldn’t he forgive her when he clearly was fond of her, cared so deeply for her, and protected her? The passionate kiss during the dance, the deep affection when he held her. Couldn’t he set a ti limit for his anger?

The driver brought the car around and he carried her into it.
