When Gu Shaocheng suddenly arrived, Fei, who was in charge of the area’s security, quickly appeared, respectfully stood in front of him. Gu Shaocheng nodded and casually asked, "Has anything happened these days?"
"No," Fei said. After a pause, he added, "There have been several waves of suspicious people trying to enter the apartnt building, but we’ve dealt with them. They didn’t disturb Miss Chen Xing."
There were actually people?
His face instantly darkened, becoming terrifyingly stern.
"Have you identified who these people are?"
Fei nodded, "We know who all but one group are."
Gu Shaocheng’s face darkened even more. "Compile a report and send it to ."
Anyone daring to target his woman wouldn’t live!
"Yes."
Fei waited for further instructions, but Gu Shaocheng waved him off, "Go about your business."

Gu Shaocheng stepped into the elevator, pressed the button for his floor, and just as the elevator doors were about to close, a couple pushed their way in.
Uncomfortable with the closeness of strangers, he instinctively took two steps back, leaning against the elevator wall.
The couple, oblivious to others, were affectionate with each other. Presumably bored while waiting for the elevator, they started to chat in low voices.
The woman asked flirtatiously, "Honey, if you had to use sothing to describe , what would it be?"
The man thought about it, "Cigarettes."
"Oh wow! Is it because I’m addictive and you can’t quit?"
He chuckled, "It’s because you and cigarettes both cost a lot of money."
Upon hearing that, the woman gave him a swift twist in the waist. Unpleased, he asked back, "What about you? If you had to use sothing to describe , what would it be?"
"Clothes?"
"Huh... Because your greatest love is clothes?"
Not missing a beat, the woman retorted, "Because I want new ones every day."
"Alright, sounds like you want a new husband! You’re in big trouble, I’m gonna tickle you until you fear ..."
With a "ding", the elevator opened, and the couple exited, playfully laughing and teasing each other as they left. The elevator doors closed once more.
Standing alone in the elevator, Gu Shaocheng surprisingly chuckled. For so reason, at that mont, he thought of Wubai’s parents. Huanhuan and Baihao often quarreled with each other too, even though they said things as if they couldn’t stand each other, their feelings only grew stronger.
Maybe, life is composed of these simple little joys.
Yet, he was unable to provide such simple happiness to Chen Xing. He couldn’t in the past, and he won’t be able to in the future!
With another "ding", the elevator opened, and he walked to the door of the apartnt.
Although he knew the door lock code, he didn’t want to let himself in. Instead, he tidied up his appearance, and pressed the doorbell.
The door opened quickly, revealing a face full of surprises. Unprepared, Chen Xing threw herself into his arms, "Shaocheng, why did you only co now?"
"Opening the door without asking who it is, hugging soone without seeing them clearly, what kind of habit is this? What if it wasn’t ?" Gu Shaocheng, pleased and comfortable inside, reprimanded with a serious face.
Despite being pushed away, Chen Xing’s enthusiasm didn’t diminish. She quickly fetched his slippers, "I bought these slippers today, put them on quickly! I’ve been waiting for you all day. Nobody else would ring the doorbell."
