"A Sweat-Blooded Horse."
A sowhat cold male voice sounded from behind. Before she could react, her body was lifted gently. Startled, Chenxing found herself securely seated on the Sweat-Blooded Horse. The man quickly followed, mounting the horse. Her waist was encircled by a pair of strong arms, his unique scent wafting by her ears.
Gu Shaocheng glanced at the little red horse next to them, raising his eyebrow, "She doesn’t need it."
The horse trainer politely nodded, leading the little red horse away.
Chenxing curiously touched the horse’s coat, "Sweat-Blooded Horse? Does it really sweat blood? I’ve heard that a Sweat-Blooded Horse can travel a thousand miles a day."
Gu Shaocheng laughed like an ancient nobleman, "It’s not that dramatic. A Sweat-Blooded Horse’s coat is very thin, and its blood vessels lie just beneath the coat. So when it runs, you can easily see the blood vessels. The exposed blood vessels cause the color of its coat to deepen and turn red, particularly when a golden or light yellow Sweat-Blooded Horse runs. Its coat turns from yellow to red, hence it’s called a Sweat-Blooded Horse."
"So that’s how it is! I thought it would really bleed. Is it fast? Does it fly when it runs?"
"Xing Xing’s speed is very fast, reaching a kiloter in just 62 seconds at its fastest. But a thousand miles a day is impossible!"
He was in a good mood today, taking her around the riding track twice. He didn’t intend to really teach her to ride, but wanted her to enjoy the wind while riding. When they got tired, they looked for a suitable place to rest. He let Chenxing lie on his leg, and both of them lay down to take a nap under the sun.
"Shaocheng, I’ve noticed you’ve been very free recently. You seem to be only entertaining every day."
He laughed while twirling her hair, "Not happy with it?"
Life was short, why waste ti on insignificant things? He was content to spend his increasingly limited ti caring for the person he wanted to be with.
"I’m happy with it." Reversing her posture, she lay on top of him. Looking down at the remarkably handso man beneath her, she lifted her hand to his throat, giggling as she touched his Adam’s apple as if it was her new favorite toy.
Gu Shaocheng raised his eyebrow, his smile filled with amusent, "Why do you always like to touch my Adam’s apple?"
"I find it mysterious."
Because she didn’t have one. Just like n are fascinated with the things won have that they don’t, won are no different. Chenxing was particularly obsessed with n’s Adam’s apples.
The more she touched, the more interesting it beca.
Gu Shaocheng grabbed her hand and pulled her head down to his chest, letting her nestle in his embrace.
He used one hand as a pillow and looked up at the sky, clear as if washed by water, "Chenxing, if one day I fall ill, very ill, would you leave ?"
"Stop! You can’t say stuff like that!"
"I’m just saying ’if’!"
Chenxing tightened her grip on his arm, "Even if it’s an ’if’, you can’t say it!"
He sighed, "It’s just a supposition. Just tell if you would leave."
What kind of a question was that, "Of course not! If you’re sick, you get treated. I used to be a nurse, I can take care of you. You can even save money on hiring a nurse. Isn’t that great?"
"Really? Even if it’s an incurable disease, would you still stay with ?"
"What if I got an incurable disease, would you abandon ?" She didn’t bother waiting for his answer, "You wouldn’t, right? So neither would I. Shaocheng, you’re not allowed to push away again!"
