In the living room, there sat a middle-aged woman with a doctor and two nurses by her side. The doctor was performing a physical examination on the woman. Due to the positioning of the sofa with its back towards the doorway, Chenxing could only see the back of the woman’s head.
She wet her lips and looked up at Gu Shaocheng.
Gu Shaocheng patted her head and said, "I have to handle so matters; go in on your own."
Chenxing’s grip suddenly tightened, not letting him go. She had a feeling, or maybe a sixth sense that made her hold onto him and shake her head, "Shaocheng, who is she? Don’t go, stay with ."
Bending down, he kissed her face, "I think you need so alone ti."
He let go of her, turning around and walking out the door. He looked at the bodyguard, his face so gloomily it was ruinous, "Where is the person?"
The bodyguard gestured, leading Gu Shaocheng towards a small path while saying, "The woman you have been looking for has had plastic surgery. Through DNA testing, her identity is confird without doubt."
Gu Shaocheng just gave a gentle hum, "Has the news been released?"
"It has been released. We’re waiting for the fish to bite. Mr. Gu, Tian Jun told to send his thanks for your recent care for the Nightingale’s leader."
However, at this mont, Chenxing held her breath, feet stopped, unable to take another step.
Could it be who she thought it was?
Based on Shaocheng’s reaction and the snippets of information unveiled, there was an 80% chance it was as she assud. However, she was afraid to take that step, as if everything in front of her was a dream. She feared that the slightest disturbance would shatter it!
Mom...
The word echoed in her mouth countless tis, "Is it you, my biological mother?"

Her eyes began to blur with unshed tears.
Ti passed, one minute and second at a ti, until the doctor completed the physical check-up for the middle-aged woman.
The doctor stood up and the nurses began to clean up.
Having completed their tasks, the doctor and nurses walked past her and out of the room, leaving her and her alone in the quiet living room.
Chenxing still couldn’t make herself move.
Deep breath... another deep breath...
She was full of doubts, unsure of what to say when facing her. Questioning if she was pretty enough at the mont, wondering if her mom would find her ugly, wondering if her mom would bla her for not recognizing her for so long... her thoughts were a chaotic ss.
However, when she ca face to face with her biological mother, she realized that all her worries were unnecessary.
The woman was holding a pillow in her arms, treating it as if it was her child. A loving mother tenderly comforting the pillow in her arms, rocking it gently. The sight was almost unbearable for Chenxing as a sour feeling hit her nose, her eyes full of unshed tears.
She tried to take the pillow from her mother’s arms but her mother just held on even tighter, fearing her daughter would be stolen.
Her lips trembled uncontrollably and after several attempts, she managed to say, "Mom... Mom..."
"Mom, it’s Chenxing, your daughter Chenxing. Look at ."
"Shh, don’t make a noise," Wang Fengtong gestured for her to be quiet, afraid that she’d wake the baby sleeping in her arms.
She then covered her mouth, letting her tears flow freely.
