Seeing her awaken, Gu Shaocheng motioned for her to co over, but Chenxing turned her head and picked up the showerhead to water the potted plants instead, refusing to walk willingly into the lion’s den.
Gu Shaocheng didn’t mind; he lounged on his new wicker chair, rocking back and forth comfortably on a soft leopard skin cushion, contentedly enjoying his leisure as he continued to read a casual book.
Suddenly, a flashy car stopped at the door.
Chenxing poked her head out to look and saw Hua Hua climbing out of the car. In a flashy and flamboyant manner, she pushed open the gate and entered, took off her sunglasses, and greeted Chenxing casually before heading straight towards Gu Shaocheng.
"Bro, how did you end up here? I’ve been looking for you for ages."
Gu Shaocheng lazily lifted his eyes, "Who told you I was here?"
"I found out myself." Hua Hua looked around the courtyard, "This place has a nice environnt, a fresh and clean taste. When did you start liking such small buildings, huh? Chenxing, are there any spare rooms? I want to move in too."
Hearing his words, the corner of Gu Shaocheng’s eye twitched, "Move in? You?"
"I’m on vacation. I was rushed off my feet making those outfits for you guys recently, almost worked myself to death. Now that the wedding of the second brother is over, I finally have so downti. Of course, I’ve got to take a good break for myself. I think the environnt here is quite nice. I’ve even brought my luggage; it’s in the trunk." Standing up, Hua Hua took the initiative, "I’ll go check if there are any rooms first, then have soone move my luggage over."
Chenxing and Gu Shaocheng exchanged glances.
After a mont of thought, Gu Shaocheng set down his thick German lexicon and chased after Hua Hua into the house, but she had already quickly gone upstairs, inspecting each room one by one—not even sparing their master bedroom, casting a glance at the heart-shaped photo wall and getting caught red-handed by Gu Shaocheng.
The latter placed a hand on his shoulder, questioning in a stern voice, "What the hell are you doing?"
Unperturbed, Hua Hua plopped down onto the neighboring sofa, legs crossed, arms spread, settling comfortably into the recliner with an invincible air, "Bro, just let stay here."
"I’ve seen it, there are two guest rooms on the second floor. Well, although they are not as good feng shui-wise as this one, I won’t fight you for the master bedroom. I’ll take the one on the far right."
"Get lost!"
He ca here to recuperate, not to go on vacation. What’s with Hua Hua showing up?
He was avoiding exactly these kinds of people. If Hua Hua moved in and loitered around him every day, it wouldn’t take long for soone to pick up on the slightest hint. How could Gu Shaocheng agree?
Besides, he was now very much longing for a simple world for two.
Hua Hua turned his head, looking out the window with the deanor of a one-in-a-million playboy, then slowly, leisurely pulled back his gaze, his mind working quickly, "Bro, I’ve been so harassed lately, I’m about to go crazy. Let stay here for a bit, please?"
"Scram."
"Weren’t you the one who told not to mingle with dodgy figures and to be more discreet in my private life? If I move in under your watch, I could cultivate my character. Why are you telling to get lost?" Not caring any longer, Hua Hua stood up and walked towards the door. Encountering Chenxing, he decided to work his charm, "Chenxing, in a word, do you say, let mooch for food and a place to stay?"
Chenxing was lost for words, unable to counter his coy, flirtatious gaze. Gu Shaocheng quickly pulled her over, and without another word, pushed Hua Hua towards the door. Not wanting to argue any further, Hua Hua briskly went to his car to retrieve his luggage and dragged it over to the wicker chair where Gu Shaocheng had been sitting earlier, reclining comfortably upon it. Ha, let’s see who can outlast whom—if you have the guts, don’t open the door all day.
