At that mont, his mind was filled with the thought that if only Luo Xi would co over and say "I’m sorry" or "Forgive ," he would instantly let bygones be bygones and reconcile with her.
But Luo Xi was not Chenxing, and he was not Gu Shaocheng, without such overwhelming charisma.
It was an unsolvable ga.
He had pride, and so did she. Their relationship would either fizzle out or they would stubbornly fight to the bitter end.
Yan Fengchi thought about it, frustratedly raked his hands through his hair.
After a mont’s contemplation, perhaps out of sight was out of mind; he stood up with long strides and left without a trace.
Alone in his car, he sped around aimlessly, not knowing where he could go.
The drifting car eventually returned to the military base and he walked straight into the shooting range.
Putting on headphones, he stayed alone in the shooting range, continuously pulling the trigger. As a man with excellent marksmanship, he hit the bullseye with every shot, but such performance did not lift his spirits at all.
His heart couldn’t find peace either.
He knew that Hua Hua and Luo Xi were absolutely impossible!
But that scene just wouldn’t leave his mind; it was inescapable, indelible.
He tossed aside the gun, removed his headphones, and with a heavy kick to the nearby obstacle, he strode out, his car traveling from sowhere to return sowhere, coming to a stop once again in the nightclub parking lot.
But, it was a step too late, the party had long since ended.
Young Master Gu issued an order, instructing Hua Hua to take care of the drunk woman and send her to the Imperial Palace District, while he leisurely drove Chenxing ho.
In the car, Chenxing was lazily curled up in the passenger seat, the look of desire still apparent on her face.
Sillily staring at the godlike man beside her, with a clear voice imbued with a hint of temptation, she asked, "Shaocheng, why does dancing with you feel more exhausting than... ah, making love?"
Gu Shaocheng’s eyes subtly quivered, looking at the drowsy woman, he thought for a mont and smiled, "Chenxing, don’t you know that whatever a loving man and woman do together is just another interpretation of making love?"
"Is that so?"
"Isn’t it?" he asked with a crooked smile. "Because, whatever you do, it’s all about ’love,’ don’t you agree?"
Perhaps it was, she nodded her head naively, trusting everything he said.
Then, tilting her head, she leaned against the seat and drifted into a deep sleep.
In her dream, the man lifted her out of the car, into the room, onto the bed, and seed to give her a passionate Gu Shaocheng-style kiss, until at last, she entered a profound sleep.
Gu Shaocheng walked into the bathroom, his body covered in various scents of perfu which he disliked, so he turned on the shower. After showering, feeling clean and refreshed, he returned to the living room and prepared a cup of tea for himself.
He approached the sterilizing cabinet to grab a cup, but felt his right leg buckle. Instinctively reaching out to grab the cabinet to stabilize himself, the tall cabinet toppled over, glass tumblers crashed to the ground along with the cabinet, all smashing onto him.
A loud thud followed by the clatter of glass shattered the silence of the night, startling the household staff awake and prompting them to rush out.
The servants saw Young Master Gu pinned under the cabinet, their faces paled with shock, and they hurried over, "Sir, how are you?"
Gu Shaocheng struggled to get up but found he couldn’t muster any strength, his entire right side felt as though it belonged to soone else. His eyes widened in terror, helplessly waiting for the servants to lift the cabinet, his heart sinking into an abyss.
