"Don’t mind him; he’s just throwing a fit," Gu Shaocheng settled back into his seat.
Nan Baihao’s expression turned to surprise, and with a roll of his sleeve, he revealed a face full of incredulity. "He dares to throw a fit with ? I’ll skin him alive!"
"Not with , with himself."
Nan Baihao didn’t quite get it but decided to ignore it since he had more important things to deal with. Chuckling, he said, "Bro, I’ve got in touch with that private collector of the pink diamond, and the wedding company too. They’ll deliver the proposal within ten days."
He pulled up a chair and sat down, "But man, that collector’s a tough nut to crack. He says soone else has offered a high price for that pink diamond too. I think we might as well send a couple of guys to steal it; it won’t cost a penny."
"You want to tell my woman that the engagent ring I’m giving her was stolen?"
Gu Shaocheng gave him a stern look.
Nan Baihao chortled, "Haha, just kidding! I’ll think of another way, but seriously, that collector is so full of himself. When I was on the phone with him, I wanted to reach through and give him a good beating!"
It’s just a darn ring, and yet he’s trying to sell it for a sky-high price without showing any restraint. He’s clearly trying to rip off.
The thought of all that money made my flesh hurt with twinges of pain.
Gu Shaocheng flipped through so items on the table, speaking casually, "No use. Give his number; I’ll make the deal with him myself!"
How much it costs didn’t bother him. What was important was getting sothing truly cherished.
The door creaked open, and both n looked up simultaneously, not expecting Bai Wuqing to walk in. As soon as Nan Baihao saw it was his second brother, he whistled teasingly, "Oh? What brings you back? Has it been a month since the honeymoon?"
"No, Jingru Company ran into so trouble, and she rushed back to handle it, so we had to put the honeymoon on hold," Bai Wuqing said, sowhat irritated. Jingru loved him, but the company seed just as important to her. When problems arose, he offered to handle them, but Jingru insisted on coming back herself.
"Shaocheng, how about a ga?" He settled in front of the Go board. When feeling down, he would pull Gu Shaocheng into a ga of Go, a habit both Gu Shaocheng and Nan Baihao were well aware of.
Gu Shaocheng closed a file, then smiled as he walked around the desk, "What’s going on lately? The vibes are off; everyone seems in a bad mood. Maybe we should call in a feng shui master to have a look."
"Who says? I’m in an excellent mood, haha! My wife is two months away from giving birth," Nan Baihao pulled a chair closer to watch the ga.
Bai Wuqing glanced at him, "Don’t be too happy too soon. You’re going to have plenty to worry about once your son is born. Kids can drive you to the brink of insanity."
"How could that be possible!" Nan Baihao disagreed.
"Your future Wubai is indeed hard to say," Gu Shaocheng chid in.
"What’s this Wubai anyway? Bro, you keep saying Wubai, and I still don’t get it."
What on earth is Wubai?
Bai Wuqing chuckled to himself, "I get it."
"Hmph, you two just love to talk in riddles around ."
"It’s the na for my future nephew." Gu Shaocheng picked up a black piece and placed the first stone on the board, asking Bai Wuqing, "What do you think of the na?"
"It’s quite aningful." Bai Wuqing promptly placed a white piece in response.
Nan Baihao scratched his head, "Wubai? Is that a good na? How is it aningful?"
Bai Wuqing only thought for a second, assuming the appearance of a learned man, his lawyer’s mouth could make black seem white.
