Chapter 1120: Minor Accomplishnt in the Forbidden Body
TL: Etude
“Jiu’er, when did you get here?”
Ye Tian looked at Ouyang Jiu’er in surprise. He hadn’t seen her when they set out, nor when they charged into the Forbidden Ancient Well.
But on second thought, it made sense. How could Ouyang Jiu’er not show up for such a significant event as the Forbidden Ancient Well?
“I’ve been here for a while, actually. I even arrived before you all,” Ouyang Jiu’er replied. “I used the Shadowless Divine Step and slipped right through the blockades of the various forces, entering the Forbidden Ancient Well!”
Ye Tian’s eyes widened, sowhat incredulous.
However, thinking about the mystical effects of the Shadowless Divine Step, it seed reasonable.
From a distance, the Shadowless Divine Step rendered her invisible, undetectable, and imperceptible, as if she were one with the void. With such a skill, no matter how strict the blockades of these forces were, they couldn’t possibly notice Ouyang Jiu’er.
At that mont, Ye Tian felt a pang of envy toward Ouyang Jiu’er.
Arriving so early—she must have co across all sorts of wondrous forbidden treasures and might even have found a Forbidden Supre Treasure!
“Jiu’er, did you happen to find a Forbidden Supre Treasure?”
“No!” Ouyang Jiu’er replied quickly.
“I wouldn’t fight you for it even if you did find one,” Ye Tian muttered, pursing his lips.
It was only natural—Seventh Heaven Dao Ancestors would kill each other over Forbidden Supre Treasures. Even if Ouyang Jiu’er found one, she wouldn’t want to reveal it.
“I truly didn’t find any!” she explained. “No matter how precious regular Forbidden Supre Treasures are, they’re nowhere near as valuable as even a single root from the Forbidden Divine Tree! By classification, the Forbidden Divine Tree is a top-tier Forbidden Supre Treasure! Just one root alone is worth as much as a mid-tier Forbidden Supre Treasure! Perhaps a few Forbidden Supre Treasures have indeed appeared here, but I believe they were taken long ago. The Forbidden Supre Treasure being fought over outside is actually a useless one!”
“How do you know that one’s useless?”
“A guess,” Ouyang Jiu’er said. “Honestly, the force that destroyed the Heavenly Spirit Sect was likely the Heavenly Emperor Palace. They wiped out the Heavenly Spirit Sect and entered the Forbidden Ancient Well. Given their investigative skills, they might not be able to collect every forbidden item right away, but finding a Forbidden Supre Treasure wouldn’t be hard. My guess is they took the ones inside the well and left only one behind, a Forbidden Supre Treasure whose limited usefulness they’d already determined, hoping to incite a bloody scramble between the other forces.”
If anyone else had said this, Ye Tian wouldn’t have believed them. But Ouyang Jiu’er, being a Half-Step Domain Ancestor, had seen much and knew many secrets. He trusted her judgnt.
“Jiu’er, are there still any valuable items here?” Ye Tian asked her via spiritual transmission.
“The valuable items were those forbidden treasures,” she replied. “However, the Forbidden Ancient Well itself is also a true treasure. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to take it.”
Ye Tian rolled his eyes. He already knew the Forbidden Ancient Well was valuable—everyone did.
But he guessed that none of the major forces would be able to monopolize it. Eventually, the Forbidden Ancient Well would likely beco a publicly accessible cultivation treasure.
Just then, Ouyang Jiu’er added, “Big Brother Ye, there’s a beneficial area within the Forbidden Ancient Well. It can assist in cultivating a Forbidden Body and can rapidly refine your Forbidden Body in a short period! While it can’t bring your Forbidden Body to the major accomplishnt realm, reaching the minor accomplishnt realm should be no problem!”
“There’s such a place here?” Ye Tian was overjoyed.
While he had acquired so forbidden treasures, each served different purposes. For instance, the Forbidden Black Lotus he possessed assisted in cultivation, but not every forbidden treasure served that purpose. Even high-tier forbidden items for cultivation couldn’t help him refine his Forbidden Body to the minor accomplishnt realm in a short ti.
So if he could increase the realm of his Forbidden Body, it would be an enormous opportunity.
“Of course, there’s such a place!” Ouyang Jiu’er affird. “I’ve spent all this ti here searching, and I finally found so clues!”
“Strictly speaking, the Forbidden Ancient Well isn’t a forbidden wondrous object or a Forbidden Supre Treasure. It’s more like a treasure land, and such a place has a core origin. Given our strength, we certainly couldn’t extract that core origin—not even an Invincible Dao Ancestor could do it.
However, a treasure land like the Forbidden Ancient Well would surely contain an area akin to an origin lake. The well’s origin there is a highly pure Dark Forbidden Power origin that’s easily absorbed, unlike the Dark Forbidden Power of the Dark Forbidden Domain, which is difficult to refine. Once we find a place like that, refining the Forbidden Body will beco many tis easier!”
After Ouyang Jiu’er finished speaking, Ye Tian urged, “Jiu’er, let’s hurry and find that place then!”
“Alright!” Ouyang Jiu’er nodded.
If it had been anyone else, she certainly wouldn’t have led them there. But she had cooperated with Ye Tian many tis, and they shared a close relationship. Since they’d encountered each other again, naturally she’d bring him along.
Several days passed in the blink of an eye.
Then, on this particular day, Ouyang Jiu’er finally pinpointed the location of the origin lake within the Forbidden Ancient Well.
It lay in an area shrouded in dark mist, deep within the Forbidden Ancient Well.
Arriving there, Ouyang Jiu’er gazed into the dark mist and said, “This is it. Inside this mist lies the origin lake. However, we need to be cautious. There are many illusions of sight and sound here—ignore them. The forbidden laws here are incredibly chaotic. Without a specific thod, it’s difficult to reach the origin lake.”
“Understood,” Ye Tian replied with a nod.
Then he followed Ouyang Jiu’er, stepping into the misty area.
Sure enough, he was soon assaulted by vivid illusions and sounds—shadowy figures drifted around him, strange and terrifying noises, so eerie and so lodious, filled his mind. Covering his ears was useless. Ye Tian disregarded it all, knowing that once caught in these illusions, the consequences could be severe. At best, he might encounter a terrifying presence; at worst, he could die silently.
After a short while, Ye Tian and Ouyang Jiu’er managed to cross the misty area and arrived at a small lake.
This lake brimd with a gentle dark forbidden origin force, far surpassing other dark Forbidden Power in purity.
“Let’s begin cultivating!” Ouyang Jiu’er said, stepping into the origin lake herself to absorb the dark Forbidden Origin and refine her own body.
“Forbidden Body!” Ye Tian’s heart stirred, though he wasn’t particularly surprised.
Before this, Ouyang Jiu’er hadn’t wielded any dark Forbidden Power nor possessed a Forbidden Body. But now, she did—all thanks to the root from the Forbidden Divine Tree.
After refining it, she gained control over the dark Forbidden Power, though initially, her ability had been rather weak. Even now, her Forbidden Body was just at the entry realm.
Without wasting any ti, Ye Tian entered the origin lake and began refining his own body using the dark Forbidden Power within.
At the sa ti, he activated ti acceleration, allowing him to absorb the dark Forbidden Power even faster.
Boom! The dense dark Forbidden Power tempered his Forbidden Body, which visibly advanced with remarkable speed.
The exhilaration Ye Tian felt was imnse. This was the first ti he had managed to enhance his Forbidden Body so rapidly. At this rate, it wouldn’t take long for his Forbidden Body to reach forty percent—the minor accomplishnt realm.
In a flash, a hundred years passed.
Under the accelerated ti environnt, Ye Tian had cultivated for a million years, and his Forbidden Body had finally reached the minor accomplishnt realm, achieving forty-one percent.
However, the origin lake of Forbidden Power had been completely depleted by him and Ouyang Jiu’er.
Ye Tian was surprised to see that Ouyang Jiu’er’s Forbidden Body had advanced from the entry realm all the way to the minor accomplishnt realm—a leap that far surpassed his own progress.
“As expected of a Half-Step Domain Ancestor—terrifying!” Ye Tian murmured to himself.
“Let’s go! It will take countless years for this origin lake to replenish. By that ti, we probably won’t need it anymore,” Ouyang Jiu’er said.
“Agreed,” Ye Tian nodded.
The two of them then departed from the area, returning to the outside world.
Back on Blackwind Mountain.
Upon his return, Ye Tian began to gather information about the outside world.
For days, he had been solely focused on cultivation and knew nothing of the recent events. He wondered who had ultimately seized that Forbidden Supre Treasure. It wasn’t long before the True Ancestors of the Nine Limits Legion inford Ye Tian of the specific details.
…
Power and force are used interchangeably—they’re really the sa thing. Dark Forbidden Power seems more appropriate since it’s like an ability. However, origin force is nad so because it’s used in the story almost as if it was qi, more pervasive and universal.
