In the Profound Void Ancient Realm, amidst a void.
One by one, Pinnacle Dao Ancestors appeared, but their target was nowhere to be seen.
“Damn it, we lost him!” cursed Dao Ancestor Eight Clouds.
He, a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor, had been tracking a Supre True Ancestor and lost him. He admitted the Supre True Ancestor was formidable, but nowhere near fully developed, and yet he still managed to escape from so many Pinnacle Dao Ancestors without even leaving a trace.
At that mont, the Pinnacle Dao Ancestors felt humiliated, each of them seething with anger.
For them, venturing out of seclusion required paying a price, and now, without having seized the Forbidden Primal Stone, the loss was imnse.
If another Pinnacle Dao Ancestor had seized it, they would simply feel disappointed. But if a True Ancestor took it, it would be a slap in the face—a humiliation.
“Who was that person?” one of the Pinnacle Dao Ancestors demanded.
“Was it the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws?” another asked.
“No, it wasn’t the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws. The True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws and General Nine Limits were rely observing; they’re both likely Supre True Ancestors as well, but they didn’t intervene and don’t have the qualifications to do so! The Supre True Ancestor who acted wasn’t especially powerful, but his ability to conceal his aura and escape was terrifying. Furthermore, he wielded a Forbidden Dao—an incredible feat for a Supre True Ancestor.”
The Wind King spoke up, subtly trying to eliminate Ye Tian as a suspect, knowing that the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws and General Nine Limits were indeed the sa person. If people suspected Ye Tian, it would lead to trouble.
Of course, the other Pinnacle Dao Ancestors weren’t foolish enough to suspect Ye Tian either.
“Could he be a reincarnated expert?” wondered Dao Ancestor Eight Clouds. “If he were a reincarnation, then wielding a Forbidden Dao as a Supre True Ancestor wouldn’t be impossible.”
“Or perhaps he’s a Supre Heavenly Pride nurtured by the Heavenly Emperor Palace; that’s also possible!”
“Indeed, he must be a reincarnated Invincible True Ancestor, or perhaps even a Half-Step Domain Ancestor. Otherwise, no Supre True Ancestor would possess such defiant powers!”
The Pinnacle Dao Ancestors found a suitable explanation. After all, if he were a Half-Step Domain Ancestor or an Invincible True Ancestor reincarnate, it would make sense for him to wield such techniques as a Supre True Ancestor.
This reasoning allowed them to save face.
With the Forbidden Primal Stone lost, the Pinnacle Dao Ancestors no longer felt any need to continue the struggle and each began to turn away.
They had already been out in the world for so ti, and their power was beginning to weaken. If they delayed any longer, the suppression of the Profound Void Ancient Realm would likely wound them severely. Their power could even fall to a level where a Supre True Ancestor could slay them.
So, with no further gain in sight, they only wished to return and seal themselves back into slumber.
Dao Ancestor Eight Clouds, along with Dao Ancestor Divine Sea and Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal, hurried back to the Heavenly Sea Sect. At that mont, Dao Ancestor Divine Sea and Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal, having used forbidden techniques, were experiencing a sudden backlash in their injuries, their auras rapidly declining.
“We’re close, almost back to the Heavenly Sea Sect!” Bayun murmured to himself.
Dao Ancestor Divine Sea and Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal breathed a sigh of relief as their auras had already plumted to the Third Heaven Dao Ancestor level, and were on the verge of dropping even further.
But it didn’t matter; once back in their slumber chambers, free from the rules of the Profound Void Ancient Realm, their injuries would heal easily. As for the aftereffects of the forbidden techniques, with the resources of the Heavenly Sea Sect, they could recover slowly over ti.
But this ti, the Heavenly Sea Sect had suffered greatly.
Suddenly—
Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal’s expression twisted, as if he sensed a true horror, his face contorting.
“Not good!” Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal cried out in alarm.
He seed to want to evade, but it was too late.
With a sharp thwip, a scarlet arrow tore through the void, piercing Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal’s skull and driving into his origin.
Boom! Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal, whose origin was already critically injured, exploded, his entire body bursting apart.
Beside him, Dao Ancestor Divine Sea and Dao Ancestor Eight Clouds were frozen, watching in shock as Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal was shot to pieces by a single arrow, unable to stop it in ti. The arrow had been too hidden, too fast, and too powerful.
Most critically, Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal had previously used a forbidden technique, injuring his origin. Otherwise, this arrow would have only injured him.
As they watched, Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal’s aura dissipated completely, rging back into the heavens and earth.
At the sa ti—
Throughout the Profound Void Ancient Realm, blood rained from the heavens, and the Grand Dao mourned.
Countless powerful beings vaguely sensed the fall of a supre existence.
Just as they returned to Blackwind Mountain, the Wind King and Fire King’s expressions shifted.
They knew well what this ominous phenonon signified: a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor had fallen.
“Who was it that fell?” they wondered aloud, curious.
With Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal’s death, a deep fear took hold in Dao Ancestor Divine Sea’s heart. His own condition was nearly identical to Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal’s. If that arrow had been aid at him instead, he likely would have been the one to fall.
“Quick, let’s go back!”
Dao Ancestor Eight Clouds shielded Dao Ancestor Divine Sea, speeding toward the Heavenly Sea Sect as fast as possible.

At the Heavenly Sea Sect.
When news of Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal’s fall reached them, the Heavenly Sea Sect’s Ninth Heaven Dao Ancestors flew into a rage. Their consciousness extended into the void of the Profound Void Ancient Realm, roaring in fury.
Yet, they had no clue who had shot that arrow. The timing had been too perfect.
Had Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal not used a forbidden technique, he would never have fallen.
The Heavenly Sea Sect and other factions speculated about the source of the arrow. It might have co from one of the other two Ninth Heaven forces or possibly from one of the Eighth Heaven powers.
After all, if another faction had the opportunity to slay a EighthHeaven Pinnacle Dao Ancestor from the Heavenly Sea Sect, they would not let it slip by. However, since none of them were confident they could do so, they hadn’t taken action until now. But this ti, soone had seized the chance to kill a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor.
In truth, any faction could have been behind it.
So even suspected the Heavenly Emperor Palace.
Yet many believed the Heavenly Emperor Palace had no reason to kill a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor, as such figures posed no threat to it. Nor had the palace restricted other factions from growing stronger.
If the Forbidden Palace ever erged, its power would likely allow it to claim every treasure for itself.
Thus, the likelihood of the Heavenly Emperor Palace targeting a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor was quite low.
Furthermore, the three major Ninth Heaven factions had, in the past, been affiliated with the Heavenly Emperor Palace; the palace had no reason to turn against the Heavenly Sea Sect. Of course, all of this was just speculation; no one knew the truth.

The Human Race.
Ye Tian had also returned, having decided not to linger any longer in the Forbidden Mountain Range. Though so forbidden treasures remained, they were far fewer in number.
Besides, his harvest this ti had been trendous.
A large number of True Ancestors had perished in the Forbidden Mountain Range, including several Dao Ancestors. He had seized this opportunity to collect many of the True Ancestors’ bodies and even one Dao Ancestor’s corpse. From them, he obtained nurous wondrous forbidden objects, bringing his total haul to around two hundred forbidden items.
Most importantly, he had acquired over ten thousand Forbidden Dao Stones—a monuntal gain.
Upon returning, he went to visit Ouyang Jiu’er’s residence.
Ouyang Jiu’er had already returned and ca out to greet him as he arrived.
“Jiu’er, just now…” Ye Tian began to ask, but Ouyang Jiu’er spoke first.
“Yes, it was !” she confird without hesitation.
Ye Tian quickly replied, “That was far too dangerous!”
“Danger matches reward,” Ouyang Jiu’er replied with a slight smile. “Besides, I was confident. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have dared to snatch the Forbidden Primal Stone from so many Pinnacle Dao Ancestors! I’ll give you a small piece of the Forbidden Primal Stone. With its aid, combined with the Forbidden Stele, you have a high chance of comprehending the Forbidden Dao. Even a superficial understanding would bring unimaginable benefits!”
“This… is too valuable!” Ye Tian responded.
“No need to be modest. But I’m only giving you a small piece—don’t give it to anyone else. If word gets out, it could bring serious trouble! Besides, no one else would have much use for the Forbidden Primal Stone right now.” Ouyang Jiu’er reminded him.
“Understood!” Ye Tian nodded.
Then he asked, “Just now, a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor fell. What happened?”
Ouyang Jiu’er waved dismissively. “That had nothing to do with ; I don’t have the power to kill a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor. If anything, a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor could easily kill .”
“I would guess the one who fell was either Dao Ancestor Divine Sea or Dao Ancestor Mystic Immortal,” she continued.
“Who would want to kill them?” Ye Tian asked, frowning.
Ouyang Jiu’er speculated, “It’s likely the Heavenly Emperor Palace. Be cautious in the future; the Heavenly Emperor Palace has grand ambitions. Though they won’t specifically target you, if you stand in their way, they wouldn’t hesitate to eliminate you.”
“I understand,” Ye Tian nodded firmly.
