Rain rested her chin on Wise's shoulder, her pink hair brushing softly against his cheek as her lips parted near his ear.
"I feel a bit tired. I don't want to take the initiative..."
Wise was slightly surprised by her words, but Rain pushed herself up anyway. A mischievous smile curved her lips, her face flushed as she looked at him.
At that mont, a thought crossed his mind.
'Should I try 38 degrees?'
Before he could think it through, his hands had already begun moving on their own.
The room was soon filled with soft, lodic, and exciting sounds.
After a long while, everything fell silent again. Rain rested against Wise, her body weak, yet a faint smile still lingered on her flushed face.
Her fever had already subsided. In her mind, it was probably because she had sweated so much during the activity, helping her recover.
But in truth, Wise had used his talent. As pleasant as the sensation of 38 degrees was, he couldn't let Rain suffer because of it.
After all, she was just an ordinary girl, sick at ho with no one to care for her. Thinking about it, Wise looked down at the girl in his arms, his expression turning serious.
"Why didn't you tell you were sick?"
Hearing Wise's concerned tone, Rain was touched but also a little afraid to tell the truth, fearing he would get angry. Eventually, she spoke.
"I... didn't want to trouble you. It's nothing serious. A little dicine and so rest would be enough."
That nonchalant reply only made Wise more concerned. He firmly told her to contact him imdiately if sothing like this happened again.
If she kept it to herself next ti, he wouldn't go easy on her.
Just imagining it made Rain blush, and she nodded without delay.
Even if she felt better, her body still needed proper nourishnt. His ability had helped, but she couldn't rely on that alone.
Yet, after checking her ho, Wise found almost nothing. The fridge and cupboards were nearly empty, aside from instant noodles and a few preserved foods.
It made sense. A shut-in hacker like her wouldn't exactly spend ti cooking.
Letting out a quiet sigh, he gave her a few instructions before heading out to buy groceries. He also sent a ssage to Belle to explain the situation.
"Hmm, isn't that Corin? You're here shopping too?"
Wise suddenly noticed what looked like a moving matcha cupcake near a nearby shelf, so he waved and greeted her.
When Corin heard this and realized it was indeed Wise, she happily trotted over, smiling as she gave him a polite bow.
"Hello, Wise. I didn't expect to et you here. I'm so happy!"
Her face lit up with a sincere smile. Thanks to Wise's help, she had beco much more confident, although she still appeared a bit timid around others.
"Are you here to buy ingredients?" Noticing the items in his shopping basket, she asked curiously.
Wise had no reason to hide it and nodded without hesitation.
"Yes. An older sister is sick, so I ca to buy so things to cook sothing nourishing for her."
"Oh, I see. Is that older sister alright?" Corin asked, her tone carrying a hint of concern.
"Don't worry, little Corin. She's already feeling better," Wise reassured her with a gentle smile.
"In that case, I'm relieved... Um, if possible, can I help you?"
Kind-hearted and always willing to lend a hand, she naturally wanted to help, especially since it was soone close to Wise.
Wise thought about it for a mont before nodding.
On one hand, she genuinely wanted to help. On the other hand, it was a good chance to see how much she had improved in the cooking skills he had taught her.
Not long after, the two of them returned to Rain's high-end apartnt. Only then did Corin realize sothing.
"So it was Sister Rain who was sick?"
After accidentally noticing Rain sleeping soundly on the bed, Corin was a little surprised.
Still, she didn't say much and quickly picked up the ingredients before heading into the kitchen.
She began preparing them skillfully, heating the pot, boiling water, and chopping vegetables with surprising precision.
At first, she looked quite professional.
But gradually, Corin started to seem flustered. Sensing sothing was off, Wise narrowed his eyes slightly. It seed little Corin was beginning to lose confidence again.
And indeed, that was the case. At that mont, Corin was panicking over a small mistake she believed she had made.
'W-what should I do? I ssed up, and Wise saw it! I'm such an idiot... Maybe I should just find a dark corner and disappear... woo woo woo...'
She cried inwardly, even though the so-called mistake was so minor that Wise hadn't even noticed it. Still, it left her feeling completely defeated.
Her training was still lacking, and with Wise standing nearby, seemingly observing her progress, the pressure only made things worse.
Under that weight, the confidence she had built up earlier shattered like fragile glass at the slightest touch.
Just as Corin began to feel like everything was hopeless, the voice she longed to hear reached her ears.
It carried no bla, no scolding. Instead, it was like sunlight breaking through the darkness, warming her gently.
"Corin, don't worry. I'll help too."
Hearing this, Corin's tear-filled eyes widened in surprise.
'That's right... Wise has always been so gentle, like an angel who descended from heaven. How could soone like him ever scold ?'
That thought took root in her heart, and with it, her dependence on Wise quietly deepened.
Before long, the two of them finished preparing a table full of delicious dishes together. After that, Wise scooped a bowl of rice, added so side dishes, and went into the bedroom to wake Rain.
Corin noticed everything, but at first, she didn't think much of it. After all, Wise and Rain were friends, and since she was sick, eating in bed seed perfectly normal.
That was, until she saw Rain sit up, happily lean forward, and press a kiss to Wise's lips. Then, with a soft expression, Rain opened her mouth and let Wise feed her, bite by bite.
clatter!"
The broom slipped from Corin's hand and hit the ground.
She stood there, frozen, her mind going blank as she processed what she had just seen.
'What... were Wise and Sister Rain just doing? Why did she kiss him... and why did Wise look so... happy...?'
