Milan City, the largest city of humankind on the Ryuzakinus Continent, had awoken from its slumber.
Acpanied by the slowly rising morning sun, the southern gate of Milan City suddenly opened.
With a thunderous, earth-shaking rumble, two units of Eric Minlong the Cavalry charged out from the gate.
As soon as they crossed the drawbridge, the two units of Eric Minlong the Cavalry immediately split into two groups, forming a Swallow Wing Formation.
There were at least two thousand cavalry in these two units.
The Dragon Cavalry’s armor shone brightly, their dragon spears slanted towards the sky, exuding an indescribable majesty.
Following the Eric Minlong the Cavalry were two thousand Machino the Iron Dragon Cavalry.
They did not possess the speed of the Eric Minlong the Cavalry, but they had a solidity that far surpassed them.
Even the Iron Dragons themselves were covered in heavy armor.
They stepped out of the city with low, steady footsteps, forming two square formations within the Swallow Wing Formation flank of the Eric Minlong the Cavalry.
Next, twenty thousand Royal Guard Soldiers marched out.
The distinctive red and black armor symbolizing Milan clanked rhythmically as they escorted the central phalanx out of the city.
The Milan City Guards had deployed over thirty thousand troops to maintain order.
The civilians of Milan City could only watch this grand spectacle from a distance.
Flanked by the twenty thousand elite warriors, the Emperor of the Milan Empire, Silvio Berlusconi, sat atop his royal carriage, slowly exiting the city under the escort of his ministers.
Beside him were the Imperial Marshal Martini, known as the Shield of Milan, and the Empire’s top master and Imperial Marshal Xi Duofu.
With the protection of these two Purple Star Dragon Knights, who could possibly harm Emperor Silvio?
Falling in behind the royal carriage were twenty splendid carriages.
From the hexagram patterns and the Milan Red Cross Shield Emblems on the carriages, it was clear that these belonged to the court Mages of the Milan Empire.
With twenty carriages, at least a hundred court Mages were following Emperor Silvio out of the city.
Such a procession, led by the Emperor himself, had not been seen in Milan City for many years.
Countless civilians who had heard the news were rushing from all corners of the city, eager to see what could have stirred Emperor Silvio to leave the city in person.
Ten miles outside the southern city gate of Milan City, a cavalry unit disproportionate to the procession emerging from inside the city was quietly arrayed.
At the front of the square formation, three young men stood waiting.
On the left, a youth astride an eighth-rank Water Dragon, shone brilliantly in his Blue Star Battle Armor under the sunlight, his dragon spear resting sideways on the saddle, his back ramrod-straight, his handsome face under his helmet alight with excitement.
To the right, another youth was clad in the finest standard armor of the Milan Empire, similar to the hundreds of soldiers behind him.
A faint silver glow swirled on the armor’s surface, and on his back, he carried a super heavy sword that was two meters long.
He was mounted on an advanced Eric Minlong King, a level five magical beast, which was much stronger and faster than the ordinary rank four Eric Minlong dragons.
pared to the excitement of the youth on the left, his expression was utterly calm.
His gaze fixed straight ahead, unaffected by the approaching imperial procession of the Milan Empire.
In the center, the most conspicuous presence amongst the group was a silver giant dragon.
Even lying on the ground, it was much larger than the adjacent eighth-rank Water Dragon; its dazzling circular scales reflecting beams of light under the sun.
Its pair of purple eyes seemed to manipulate the magic element fluctuations in the air with every open and close, causing the reflected sunlight to form layers of slight twists in the air.
Atop the Silver Dragon sat a young Mage of noble demeanor, his simple milk-white Magic Robe unable to hide his distinct elegance.
His eyes were calm, and unlike the excitement of the youth on the left or the coldness of the youth on the right, a faint smile always rested on his lips, giving off an approachable vibe.
Behind the three youths were fifty Mages in fiery red robes, all equipped identically down to their Magic Staves, each with a red gemstone the size of an egg embedded at the top.
The emergence of such a staff would not surprise anyone, despite its good quality, but seeing fifty of them together told a different story.
Even behind the support of the Magic Dragon on their backs, the fifty staves together created a fire elemental fluctuation that enveloped the Mages in a faint red glow.
What was most surprising was that these fifty Mages were actually sitting atop Eric Minlong dragons—a privilege typically reserved for warriors, as Mages were notoriously fragile.
Yet these Mages perched on the Eric Minlong dragons with stability, the dragons themselves extremely docile, showing no sign of disfort.
Five hundred warriors, dressed in the same armor shining with the unique glow of demon silver, stood behind the fifty Mages.
Although their armor contained only a small amount of demon silver, it’s likely that only great empires such as Milan and Landias could afford to cast such armor.
The perfectly arrayed square formation of over five hundred people did not make a single sound, including their mounts.
The one sitting on the Silver Dragon was none other than Ye Yinzhu.
Li Sha had returned from the Northernmost Wilderness to Milan only three days after their return.
Xi Duofu’s Silver Dragon partner, Asis, had gone back to Xi Duofu’s side.
And naturally, the two beside Ye Yinzhu were Oliveira and Ye Hongyan, ready and waiting in full gear with the Death God’s 500 Warriors behind them.
Although Xi Duofu had informed them yesterday that Emperor Silvio would personally see them off today, they had not expected the send-off to be so grand.
In the blink of an eye, guarded by the Dragon Cavalry and Royal Warriors, Emperor Silvio had arrived before Ye Yinzhu and the others, acpanied by the two great marshals and numerous imperial officials.
Far off, the city gates were unsealed following Emperor Silvio’s departure, and a multitude of civilians were witnessing this grand spectacle.
Emperor Silvio’s imperial carriage came to a stop, and Emperor Silvio, escorted by the two marshals, slowly alighted from the carriage.
“Dismount,” Ye Yinzhu called out loudly, and nearby, Oliveira, Ye Hongyan, along with the Death God’s 500 Warriors behind them, all controlled their mounts to kneel down and then leaped off from their dragons’ backs.
Strangely enough, after the Eric Minlong dragons reached the hands of the Death God’s 500 Warriors, they became very obedient without needing to go through the usual taming process that other dragon cavalry soldiers did.
Among everyone present, only Ye Yinzhu remained seated on the back of Li Sha, representing Silver Dragon City, which was in alliance with the Milan Empire.
“Hello, Uncle Silvio,” Ye Yinzhu greeted Emperor Silvio with a smile while still atop Li Sha.
Emperor Silvio gazed deeply at Ye Yinzhu and said, “Yin Zhu, we are counting on you this time.
This battle is not only about the honor of the Empire but also its future.”
Ye Yinzhu nodded, “I will do it.”
Emperor Silvio’s gaze shifted from Ye Yinzhu to the Death God’s 500 Warriors behind him and he spoke loudly, “Warriors of Milan, today, you will set forth on a journey.
Perhaps, this will be the most important battle of your lives.
For the glory of the Empire, I, Emperor Silvio of the Empire, ask you to give your all and achieve the final victory.
I promise you that upon victory and upon your return, you will be greeted in Milan City with flowers, applause, and the highest honors.
Brave warriors, you are the elite of the Empire, the future of the Empire, and in victory, I hope to see more of you return alive.
The future of the Empire is yours.” A hundred court mages stood in orderly ranks behind him, and Emperor Silvio’s voice, carried by their sound amplification magic, traveled far and wide, instantly echoing across the plains.
Every word spoken by the Emperor reached the ears of the Milan Warriors nearby and even the civilians far away, causing a bright light of honor to sparkle in their eyes.
With a loud shout, Oliveira declared, “Fight for Milan.” In unison, the Death God Five Hundred shouted back, “Fight for Milan.”
The same phrase, uttered by Oliveira and the Death God’s Five Hundred Warriors, had a pletely different effect.
Oliveira’s voice carried excitement and a readiness to face death, while the Death God’s Five Hundred Warriors’ voices remained cold and merciless.
However, Emperor Silvio could clearly feel a chilling killing intent emanating from the five hundred warriors.
Glancing at Xi Duofu beside him, his face showed a trace of satisfaction.
The Dragon Cavalry and Royal Knights following Emperor Silvio also cheered loudly three times, the roar of their voices rolling across the land.
A faint light twinkled, and a subtle divine light shone in Ye Yinzhu’s eyes as he said, “Uncle Silvio, we must depart now.”
Emperor Silvio nodded and called out, “Master Yue Hui.”
“I am here,” responded Master Yue Hui as he made his way through the crowd, flanked by court mages.
He was still dressed as when Ye Yinzhu had first seen him, except that now, Yue Hui was mounted on a special magical beast—a black panther with pitch-black fur and cold amber eyes.
Measuring over five meters in length and towering more than one meter in height, the panther moved soundlessly yet exuded a strong sense of danger.
Ye Yinzhu had anticipated Yue Hui’s pany and was not surprised, but what astonished him was the presence of another person with Yue Hui—a beautifully dressed courtly lady.
Her exquisite royal gown and dazzling golden patterns shone brilliantly under the sun, making her instantly the center of attention across the field.
