76: Chapter 19: Forcefully Shaking the Heavy Cavalry (Part 4) 76: Chapter 19: Forcefully Shaking the Heavy Cavalry (Part 4) Without any excessive or plicated maneuvers, Ye Yinzhu, who had leapt vertically three meters into the air, simply raised his right knee.
His body’s position allowed him to evade the lance, and at this moment, the knight, whose mind went blank, had yet to recover his wits.
With a boom—, the knight’s chest, clad in heavy armor, abruptly collided with Ye Yinzhu’s right knee.
The speed of Eric Minlong was now entirely part of Ye Yinzhu’s offensive power.
The enormous body, two meters tall and dressed in heavy armor, was sent flying, shockingly propelled more than ten meters away by the instantaneous impact.
A huge dent appeared on the heavy armor’s chest plate, and the helmet had flown off as the body thunderously hit the ground, with blood spilling out.
The Dragon Cavalry, who, a moment before, had been full of formidable momentum, now lay breathless.
Eric Minlong, having lost its master, swept past underneath Ye Yinzhu.
After that massive impact, Ye Yinzhu’s body merely drifted several meters backward, and with a gentle turn in the air, he quietly landed.
In the Central Trial Field, where tens of thousands had gathered, a pin-drop silence ensued.
Everyone’s eyes were wide open in shock, unable to believe what had just happened.
From start to finish, Ye Yinzhu had only made a few simple movements, yet these simple moves had knocked a Dragon Cavalry with Eric Minlong unconscious.
A mage, relying solely on physical strength, had one-shotted a Dragon Cavalry—this fact alone was enough to stun everyone.
Most had already forgotten the Explosive Reverberate brought by Ye Yinzhu’s zither strings.
Fergerson’s eyes sparkled; Nina’s eyes lit up, too, and the cheer squad from the Divine Music Department, every single pair of bright eyes, shone with excitement.
“Divine Music Department, let’s go…, Divine Music Department, must win…”
The students of the Magic Department finally had an opportunity to vent, as frenzied cheers erupted once more, and the whole arena boiled over again, but this time, the spotlight had shifted.
The battle strategy of the wolf pack allowed no time for rest.
While the overwhelming cheers were still going strong, the second student from the Heavy Cavalry Department charged out.
This time, Ye Yinzhu faced an opponent whose mount was Machino the Iron Dragon.
The speed of Machino the Iron Dragon was much slower than Eric Minlong, but once it began to move, it was like a mobile fortress.
By now, the Heavy Cavalry Department’s contempt for Ye Yinzhu had pletely vanished, and this student, also with Intermediate Rank Yellow-rank Douqi, slowly urged Machino the Iron Dragon forward, closing in on Ye Yinzhu.
This time, Ye Yinzhu didn’t wait but instead approached his opponent.
He didn’t walk quickly, strolling as though it was an ordinary walk, and the Haiyue Qinhui Zither, which had been in his left arm bend, was already put away into the Space Ring.
Unarmed, he walked toward the Dragon Cavalry, who was armed to the teeth.
They drew closer, and closer to each other.
At this moment, the entire audience held their breath in anticipation of another brilliant collision.
“Aah—” With a roaring bellow, the five-meter-long lance projected a yellow shadow as it swept through the air, while Machino the Iron Dragon’s massive head simultaneously thrust toward Ye Yinzhu’s chest.
Ye Yinzhu’s absolute speed wasn’t very fast, certainly much slower pared to Sura, but it was still much faster than this defensively-renowned Machino the Iron Dragon.
His body shifted sideways in an instant, evading Machino’s charge, and faced with the encroaching lance shadow, he made a swift yet seemingly suicidal move.
He leaped toward the sharp lance.
Similarly endowed with yellow Douqi, Sura’s fist, filled with a brilliant light, soared with momentum, striking directly into the barrage of thrusts.
The lone feeling harbored by the Dragon Cavalry was that of being pletely overwhelmed by the opponent’s aura; although Sura’s punch was a straightforward blow, no matter how he tried to alter his Knight Spear, it was futile to escape the envelopment of the fist’s edge.
All he could do was to concentrate his Douqi entirely on the Knight Spear, set for a head-on collision with Sura’s punch.
A flesh and blood fist against the exceedingly sharp Knight Spear—with “identical” yellow-rank Douqi, the oute seemed predestined.
Suddenly, just as the fist was about to meet the spear, Sura’s right hand transformed; the fist morphed into a palm, and with an odd twist, what should have been a straightforward punch on the spearhead, in a blink, grasped the tip of the spear.
The knight, far from alarmed, was thrilled; with a forceful exertion from both arms, he bellowed, “Up.” If he could just toss this Divine Music Department’s main mander into the air, then today’s battle would have no uncertainty.
Indeed, a body was lifted, but alas, it was not Sura’s.
The moment his hand clutched the lance, Sura’s feet had already landed atop the massive head of Machino the Iron Dragon, and with a simultaneous effort from his adversary, the sheer weight of the Heavy Cavalry, armor included exceeding four hundred pounds, allowed Sura with no suspense to hoist the knight directly off the Iron Dragon’s back.
At that very moment, the grace in Sura’s eyes had entirely vanished, leaving only dominance to take its place.
A faint purple light replaced the original clarity in his eyes, and his hair fluttered behind him.
Though noticeably shorter than his opponent, in the eyes of the audience, he seemed towering at that instant.
The sudden trampling of its head enraged Machino the Iron Dragon, leading to a furious roar, as it attempted to throw Sura off.
Its colossal frame twisted violently, now pletely engulfed in rage.
Sura raised the Knight Spear with his right hand, stepped forward in a flash from atop the Iron Dragon’s head to its back, and manded in a low growl, “Quiet.” His right foot stomped heavily on the dragon’s back, and Machino the Iron Dragon, renowned for its defensive power, let out a mournful cry; its powerful limbs gave way and it lay prostrate on the ground.
“I surrender.” The knight, who had intended to continue resisting, was enduring the successive shocks of Sura’s Douqi.
Seeing his own Machino the Iron Dragon fall so miserably before Sura, he lost even the will to think any further, choosing to concede defeat immediately.
Grasping the lance, Sura eased the knight to the ground and stood atop Machino the Iron Dragon, his elegance restored.
Even he found it odd, not understanding why his strength had increased so much.
Although the Second Rank Yellow Bamboo Douqi was equivalent to a Rainbow-grade, green-rank second level, giving him a significant advantage with his Douqi over his opponent, the actions of lifting his foe and collapsing the Iron Dragon were not fueled by Douqi but by sheer physical strength.
At the moment he gripped the lance, he distinctly felt a surge of warmth rising from the depths of his being, executing those actions instinctively; a mad rush of power seemed to burst forth from his body as his clear eyes now contained a hint of purple.
“Director Nina, why not let this member of your Divine Music Department join our Heavy Sword Warrior Department?
Leaving him in your department might just squander such tremendous talent,” a somewhat unattractive, hunchbacked old man said from behind Nina.
Nina huffed, “Wishful thinking, Old Monkey; why don’t you try taking Nesta for a change?
Everyone recognizes his potential as a warrior prodigy.”
The man known as Old Monkey, director of the Heavy Sword Warrior Department, chuckled and replied, “Iron Arm would hardly let anyone go.
But it’s really strange for today’s match.
Your Magic Department students actually managed to overe our Warrior Department using martial skills.
It truly saddens me!”
“It wasn’t martial skills; it was absolute strength,” the always silent director of the Heavy Cavalry Study Department, Iron Arm, said coldly.
Though his voice was icy, the look he gave Sura was filled with ardor.
There was no sign of annoyance over his department’s student losing the match.
