Her voice, though not loud, was clearly heard by Emperor Maximo in front.
Emperor Maximo’s body shook slightly as he slowly turned his head, his gaze falling on Kleyena.
Seeing Emperor Maximo looking at her, Kleyena hurriedly lowered her head, somewhat embarrassed, “I apologize, Your Majesty, I spoke out of turn.”
Emperor Maximo smiled gently, shaking his head, “No, it is we who are wrong.
We never expected that we, as superiors, could not see as clearly as you, you didn’t say anything wrong.
Perhaps, it is because we were too arrogant.
If we had acted earlier, if I had made a decision when the Phoenix told me not to try to harm Ye Yinzhu, perhaps Landias wouldn’t be as passive as it is now.”
Crespo let out a sigh and said, “But it’s all too late now.
The mistake has been made.”
Emperor Maximo smiled faintly, “No, perhaps it is not too late.
Opportunities always exist; the key is whether we can seize them.”
After saying this, he turned his head back, once again fixing his gaze on Ye Yinzhu at the center of the high platform.
At this moment, there was not a hint of hate in Emperor Maximo’s eyes, only appreciation.
If one did not consider the enmity between nations, any man would be overjoyed to have such an outstanding son-in-law.
A soft glow flickered, a gentle energy fluctuation emanating from Ye Yinzhu’s eyes as he lightly brushed the zither strings with both hands, facing directly toward the Dark Tower.
“Ye Yinzhu, are you ready?” O’Brien’s voice came slowly.
The expression on Ye Yinzhu’s face remained unchanged as he said indifferently, “Let’s begin.”
O’Brien nodded.
No one saw how he and the other five Tower Masters acted, but in the next moment, the six of them were already standing together in the center of the Magic Square, their positions in the shape of the six points of a hexagram.
Then, acpanied by a deep chanting, six colors of light flared from their bodies.
Unbound by Rainbow-grade limitations, or rather, having reached the Sub-God rank where elements reverted to their original state: water, fire, earth, wind, brightness, and spiritual power—the six magic elements surged, the vast and dazzling light like the ignition of six differently colored suns in the center of the square, making everything else around fade in parison.
This was merely the beginning.
As the chanting of the six Tower Masters grew louder and more passionate, the elemental fluctuation emanating from them became increasingly terrifying.
The light obscured their bodies, leaving only faint outlines visible.
Suddenly, the tops of the six towers at the positions of the Faran Towers lit up simultaneously, brilliant light soaring into the sky.
The dawn, which had been gradually replaced by darkness, instantly lost its luster as the sky was illuminated by the dazzling light, and the city of Faran was also illuminated.
Six massive pillars of light shot into the sky, and at the same time, beams of light of the same color sprang from the six Tower Masters into the sky.
Immense energy formed bridges connecting the Tower Masters to the towers, and the tremendous energy fluctuations caused all the magic elements within the city of Faran to converge.
Only at this moment did the monarchs from the six nations truly sense the terror of Faran for the first time.
The vast magical elemental fluctuations could not be described as merely Forbidden Curse rank; they had already surpassed the level of forbidden curses.
If one did not witness it with their own eyes, no one could believe that magic elements could be concentrated to such a degree.
The enormous six beams of light formed a massive vortex in the air, the six-colored energy vortex, with the entire city of Faran resting within its grasp.
It was as if the city was trembling and anticipating.
“The six towers have e together, where is the Dark Tower?” the voices of the six Tower Masters rang out together.
The top of the Dark Tower, the only one that had not emitted a pillar of light, shone with a rich and mysterious dark glow, as immense Dark Demon Sect energy gathered, not soaring into the sky but condensing at the tower’s peak.
“Great Towers of Faran, today, you shall wele a new Guardian.
Please test his worthiness yourselves.”
The vast six-colored energy vortex spun violently, and suddenly, the immense black energy that had been gathering over the Dark Tower’s pinnacle shot up into the air, as if attracted by the energy of the other six towers, rising high into the sky.
However, it did not merge into the grand vortex; upon contact with the six colors of energy, it reflected like it had met a mirror, diving straight for Ye Yinzhu, who sat cross-legged on the platform below.
At this moment, the observing monarchs realized that the swirling six-color vortex was precisely above the platform.
Hum—
As the black light pillar descended from the sky, Ye Yinzhu played the ancient zither on his knees.
A ripple-like pattern of light appeared around his body.
The next instant, the pattern shifted, and a rich black light almost instantly submerged his body.
At that same moment, the black light pillar in mid-air had pletely enveloped him.
Everything around became a space of darkness; even within the sense of Unity of Heaven and Man, all was black.
On the Magic Square of Faran, tens of thousands were watching the ceremony, but at this moment, all Ye Yinzhu could feel were himself and the massive energy of the Dark Demon Sect.
Dark Demon Series Elements are filled with corrosion and various negative emotions, which is why Dark Demon Attribute Mages generally seem a bit eccentric.
The vast Magical Elements almost immediately fused with the Dark Element conjured by Ye Yinzhu’s Original Force.
Then, he distinctly felt a powerful and devouring spiritual force rush into his brain.
The Spirit of the Sea within him churned violently, causing his hands, which were playing the zither, to pause suddenly, yet the initial hum still echoed in the air.
No one could see Ye Yinzhu’s figure.
The trial had finally begun.
The surroundings were dark, as if everything had returned to the most primal place, producing an extremely unique sensation in Ye Yinzhu’s heart.
Initially, he believed that with Phil Jackson’s Soul Bead, he should have already been accepted by the Dark Tower; however, when that overwhelming spiritual force pierced into his mind, he discovered things were not as simple as he had imagined.
Although the tremendous spiritual force did not harbor any hostility, it seemed to possess the same characteristics as the Dark Demon Magic Elements.
As soon as it entered his spiritual world, it began its innate corrosion and consumption, eating away at his spiritual power.
Without panic, after all, Ye Yinzhu’s origin was that of a Spirit Mage, a Divine Music Master.
With his hands losing mental control and unable to play, in the sea of his spirit, seven virtual zither strings made purely of spiritual force suddenly appeared in front of his Soul imprint.
Inside the Spirit of the Sea, a miniaturized Ye Yinzhu sat before the seven golden zither strings, releasing the power of his spiritual origin.
He fought against the invading spiritual force while beginning to play.
The soft music was audible to him alone.
He played not a zither melody with any attack or Defense Ability but the most ancient and balanced “Cultivation Source Calm Mind Song.”
This zither melody was undoubtedly one of the most familiar to Ye Yinzhu.
Playing quietly, his Soul imprint grew more stable.
The Soul Bead he had produced floated in front of him, emitting faint golden light, gently diffusing outward with the ripples produced by the spiritual zither sounds, preventing any corrosion from the spiritual force with the attributes of the Dark Demon Sect.
Ye Yinzhu did not release Phil Jackson’s Soul Bead.
Instead, he let it float above his Soul imprint, guarding the most crucial spot.
He did so to test whether he could pass the trial of the Dark Tower on his own strength.
The simulation of the Original Force made all the energy he released indistinguishable from that of the Dark Demon Sect.
The contest was now within the world of the spirit.
Before this moment, Ye Yinzhu had not even known what the standard for this trial was, nor did he know how to gain the Dark Tower’s recognition.
But there wasn’t a trace of panic in his heart; reaching his current level of power certainly involved some luck but was inseparable from his years of arduous cultivation.
Sixteen years of foundation and continuous cultivation had long since integrated his Zither Magic with his very being.
Moreover, he had Phil Jackson’s Soul Bead as the final safeguard.
Since cultivating his own Soul Bead, even though it was only the size of a soybean, Ye Yinzhu’s Soul imprint had long since lost its previous fragility.
His spiritual world was not the least bit inferior to his physical strength, in fact, it might even be said to be more robust.
Subconsciously, he felt that with his own Soul Bead, he was already in an invincible position in this trial.
As Ye Yinzhu continued to endure the impact of the enormous spiritual force from the Dark Tower and gradually stabilized, using the “Cultivation Source Calm Mind Song” to make his spirit incredibly firm and slowly repelling the mighty spiritual force, suddenly, an old voice without any warning sounded in his spiritual world.
“Water is both real and empty; rocks are hard yet hollow.
When clarity and murkiness unite, a natural scale is formed.
There was once a person who went to gather herbs in the mountains and heard the sound of a zither.
Traveling through the pine forest to the stream, the faint sound grew stronger.
After a mile or so, he saw a clear spring flowing from the rocks, and he lingered there all day, unable to leave.
Returning, he imitated its notes, and thus was this melody posed.” (To be continued.
