Elias hurried over, his silver hair ssy. He blinked hard, thinking he was still dreaming. "No way... no way this happened overnight."
Griffin, Viktor, and Mason joined them one by one. Soon, all six n stood together, staring at the new massive stone walls that surrounded the cleared land.
"This... this wasn’t here yesterday," Griffin muttered, his face pale.
"No kidding!" Jonas snapped. "How could walls like this just pop out of nowhere?!"
Mason swallowed hard. "Don’t tell ... Ivy did this."
Viktor frowned deeply. "That’s impossible. How can one person build all this in a night? Even an army would take weeks!"
Mayor Daniel rubbed his forehead, his voice heavy. "But who else could it be? She’s the only one who owns the land."
They all turned silent.
Elias finally whispered, his eyes fixed on the towering walls. "If she can build this... then she really is planning sothing big. Do you all truly think she is planning to open her business?"
No one answered him. They only stared at the walls as if they had seen a ghost.
"Should we check it out?" Griffin voiced out the thought troubling all of them. They exchanged glances before shaking their heads.
"We should focus on the bigger problems. I heard about crystals in zombies. And I even saw Ivy dealing with a few. I am planning to check it out." Viktor said with a serious face, slipped away.
"I, too, rembered a work." Griffin, understanding Viktor’s tactics, stood up and left. Then, Mayor Daniel watched as one by one his n left the house.
Inside the newly ford periter, Ivy was experinting by placing the one living room apartnt. She realized a problem. She needed to level the land, and she couldn’t buy the leveling machine from the Temporal storage at all!
She put up a post for a land levelling machine and offered 10kg of rice. Soon, she received a few responses. However, she realized a problem. All of them were far away from her location.
If she wanted to finish the leveling, she would have to leave now. With no choice, she took out the scooter from her Temporal Storage and raced to the location.
Along the way, she realized that there were a few peeing tom in her territory and realized that they were none other than Mayor Daniel’s n.
Having no ti to deal with them, she ignored them. Ivy finally reached the spot.
A broken garage stood ahead, and she quickly spotted the leveling machine parked inside. Her eyes lit up. But there was a problem. Dozens of zombies staggered around the yard.
A man with a thick beard was fighting near the garage door, swinging a rusty axe. He grunted as he shoved one zombie back. "Tch... too many..." he muttered.
Without hesitation, Ivy dashed forward. Her blade flashed, cutting down two zombies in one move. She spun, kicked another in the chest, and sliced its neck.
The man blinked in surprise. "You... you’re helping ?"
Ivy smirked. "Looks like you need it."
Together, they cut through the zombies. In just a few minutes, the area was clear. The man leaned on his axe, breathing heavily. His eyes studied Ivy with suspicion, but he said nothing.
Ivy brushed off her clothes, her gaze going straight to the garage. "The leveling machine is in there," he said simply and handed her the keys.
She stepped into the garage, checked the machine, tested a few switches, and nodded. "It works."
Then she waved her hand a sack appeared on the ground. "Ten kilograms of rice, as promised."
The man’s lips curled into a smirk as he took away the key. He shook his head. "The price went up. It’s one hundred kilograms now. If you want it, pay more."
Ivy raised an eyebrow, but instead of anger, a small smile appeared. "Oh? Then I will not buy it."
She turned calmly, walking toward her scooter.
The man’s voice cut through the air. "Wait. Did I give you permission to leave?"
Ivy chuckled softly. "I do not need your permission."
The man’s eyes turned cold. "I said, I haven’t allowed you. That ans you stay." He raised his axe and rushed at her.
But before he could swing, Ivy tilted her head back and shouted loudly. Her voice echoed through the empty street.
"Aaahhh!"
The man froze. "Are you crazy?! You will bring every zombie here!"
Ivy laughed, her pink hair swinging. "Yes, I am crazy. And you are about to see sothing even crazier." She scread again, even louder.
The groans of zombies began to echo in the distance. More and more shadows appeared, dragging their broken bodies toward the noise.
The man’s face turned pale. "You... you’re insane!" He turned to run.
Ivy’s voice was calm but mocking. "Did I give you permission to leave?" She snatched the keys to the leveling machine from his hand with a quick move and walked toward the garage.
The man’s jaw dropped. His eyes widened when he saw that the zombies were ignoring Ivy, heading straight for him instead. "What... what are you?! Why are they not attacking you?"
Ivy chuckled. "Simple. I drank a zombie repellent potion."
The man froze in shock. "Potion? Such things exist?"
"They do," Ivy said with a sly smile. "But since you tried to cheat , you can deal with the consequences."
"What consequences?" he demanded, his voice shaking.
Ivy didn’t answer. She just glanced behind him.
The man stiffened, then slowly turned his head. His blood ran cold. A zombie was rushing straight at him, arms outstretched. He swung his axe in panic, yelling, "Wait! Tell more about that potion!"
But Ivy had already climbed onto the leveling machine. With the keys in her hand, the engine roared to life. She drove it out of the garage calmly, ignoring the man’s desperate shouts.
The zombies sward him, and his cries grew louder and more desperate.
Ivy didn’t look back. She only smiled faintly to herself.
