Seeing Damian rushing toward her, Ivy’s mind snapped into clarity, cold, sharp, and resolute. Gone was the pleading, the tears, the helplessness that had played out in the past.
No more.
This ti, she wouldn’t beg. This ti, she wouldn’t cry.
Damian’s bat swung through the air, aid straight for her side. But Ivy wasn’t the sa girl they had tornted before.
With a swift movent, driven by desperation and a fire long buried beneath years of abuse, she sidestepped, the bat grazing the edge of her shirt but missing its mark.
Damian staggered, caught off guard by her sudden agility. His eyes widened in shock, the cruel confidence draining from his face.
"Ivy! You..." he started, but Ivy didn’t let him finish.
Her foot shot out, catching him square in the shin. Damian howled, stumbling backward, his bat clattering to the floor.
Magnus cursed, rage contorting his features. He lunged, hand outstretched to grab her, but Ivy was quicker; she held his hand and twisted it behind his back, before kicking him.
Isla scread, backing away, while Seraphina stood frozen, mouth agape, as her carefully constructed world began to crumble in front of her.
"If any one of you dares to make a move against , I will ensure this is the last ti you walk," Ivy warned, her eyes flashing with killing intent.
The Ravencroft family was so scared that they didn’t even dare to speak. Ivy calmly walked toward her room.
Once inside, she locked the room and sat on the bed.
Feeling thirsty, Ivy thought of drinking the water, but soon she realized a problem she had overlooked before.
Water purifier! She would need a water purifier. She can’t just drink the water.
"Most of the shops have already been looted. Finding a water purifier now... would be equivalent to finding needles in a haystack."
Her eyes unconsiously fell on her hand and she softly wondered,
"Can my superpowers generate a water purifier too?"
She hoped a miracle would happen and the floor would beco littered with water purifiers. However, the reality slapped harshly on her face, and Ivy could only lie on the bed.
She was feeling tired and dizzy.
"My... body is truly weak. I should start to work out. At this pace... I will fall behind."

The sound of conversation woke up Ivy. She rubbed her eyes and looked at her surroundings with a confused expression.
It took her so ti to realize where she was.
Just then, soone knocked on her door. Ivy stretched her muscles and thought,
"So people are truly like a ghost."
Picking up the bat, she opened the door, positioning herself behind the door.
Sure enough, a hand holding a white cloth was extended. It was a no-brainer that the cloth had chloroform.
Ivy swiftly held the extended hand and twisted it.
"Ahhh! Ivy! Ivy let go! Ouch! You are hurting !" Isla’s pig-like scream caused Magnus and Seraphina, hiding in the shadows, to co out,
"Ivy let go! She is your sister!"
Magnus’s thunderous voice was enough to scare anyone. However, Ivy remained indifferent.
"So you all don’t take my words seriously, huh?"
"Misunderstanding! Calm down! Calm down, Ivy! Silas wanted to et you. Knowing how much you hate him, we decided to make you unconscious..." Magnus didn’t get the chance to finish his words, as Ivy threw Isla to one side and hurried toward the living room.
Seeing Silas seated on the sofa, Ivy sucked in deep breath, before relaxing her scowl, and putting up a poker face.
She acted as if the demon who was making the Ravencroft family’s life hell wasn’t her at all!
With light steps, she entered the room. Silas stood up, seeing Ivy, a frown etched on his forehead. There was also a hint of disapproval in his eyes.
Internally, Ivy panicked a bit.
’What happened? Does he know about what I have done to Ravencrofts? Does he hate for it? Or did he rember one of my misdeeds?’
The more Ivy thought, the more panicked she felt.
"Ivy... are you free? I want to talk about sothing." Silas’s steady and calm voice broke Ivy’s daze.
"Hmm." Ivy agreed, if it wasn’t for her poker face, her eagerness would have been visible.
Damian looked at Silas and Ivy with a complex gaze before coughing softly. He wanted to attract Silas’s attention.
However, Silas acted as if he didn’t hear Damian at all and brought Ivy out of the house.
Seeing his retreating back, Damian beca agitated and called out,
"Silas, do think about it! As long as you join our family, I will let you marry Ivy!"
’Join the family, my foot! I will kidnap Ivy if things continue to go downhill.’ Silas thought. His calm and steady aura masked the roguish thought.
"And rember! I want 5000kg of rice, 5000kg of beans, 5000kg of seasoning packets, as well as 50,000kg of fruits as a dowry!"
Ivy’s fist clenched. How she wished to turn around and punch the b*stard. She was on the verge of beating the life out of the b*stard when Silas’s reply ca,
"I agree. But I will manage the ration. And Ivy needs to eat each al, and if she skips even one of the als, I will starve all of you for 3 days."
"And what if we skip a al?" Damian asked unwilling to back down.
Silas rolled his eyes,
"That has nothing to do with . If you skip or miss a al, I will simply ask the cook not to make any food for all of you except Ivy. Considering how fat you all are, you need to lose weight."

Ivy hated to admit it, but Silas’s double standard... made her heart warm.
"Do you still need to beco a living son-in-law?" Silas asked, choking Damian to the point he refused to speak.
Seeing the unresponsive Damian, Silas left with Ivy.
Damian stared at Silas’s back with hatred in his eyes and muttered,
"Just you wait! I will beco a superior being and kill you with my own hands!"
A voice echoed in his mind,
"Indeed... bugs like him should be squashed. Now go and rest. You will awaken your superpower soon."
