She leaned forward slightly. "And most importantly... how did you gain enough power to escape from ?"
Damien pressed his lips tightly together.
Seeing his stubborn silence, Ivy suddenly smiled again.
"That’s fine if you don’t want to say it."
Her tone was disturbingly calm. "I’m not in a hurry."
Her knuckles cracked softly as she flexed her fingers.
"After all... I was just getting ward up earlier. In fact, my heart isn’t fully satisfied yet."
The mont Damien heard that, his face turned pale. "No! No! I’ll talk!"
His fear overca his hesitation imdiately.
He hurriedly continued. "When I saw you fighting mother and father... I got scared."
His voice trembled. "So I ran away."
Ivy nodded slowly, listening without interrupting.
Damien continued explaining.
"In the early stage of occupying my body, the superior being needed raw at constantly. But it couldn’t just be any at."
His voice dropped slightly.
"It had to be fresh... taken from a living person."
He swallowed hard.
"It couldn’t co from a dead body. It had to be cut directly from soone who was still alive."
Ivy’s eyes narrowed even further.
Damien continued nervously.
"And during that ti... my appearance wasn’t human anymore."
His expression darkened. "I looked more like so kind of animal... a monster."
Ivy remained silent, absorbing every word carefully.
Damien hesitated for a mont before speaking again.
"There was another reason I kept moving from place to place."
He looked at Ivy nervously. "I knew you were searching for ."
His voice dropped to a whisper. "And I knew... you wanted to kill ."
Because of that fear, Damien had continued running from one place to another, never daring to stay in one location for too long.
Ivy listened quietly and nodded once. Then she tilted her head slightly and looked at him with calm curiosity.
"Then why did you stop later on?"
Damien swallowed before answering. "The first phase had already been completed."
He rubbed his bruised face subconsciously, his voice trembling slightly as he continued.
"That thing needed more... processed at this ti. That’s when it contacted Angelina."
Ivy’s eyes flickered faintly at the na, but she did not interrupt. She simply nodded again.
"So after that, the superior being was able to completely take over your body."
Damien nodded instinctively, but suddenly froze as if a forgotten mory had resurfaced in his mind. His eyes widened slightly.
"There were... monts," he muttered hesitantly, "when I almost regained control of my body."
His voice dropped into a whisper as he continued.
"But every ti that happened, that thing would start chanting sothing strange. The mont those words were spoken... the power would return to it imdiately."
Ivy did not respond.
Instead, she simply watched him quietly for a few seconds. The silence in the room felt heavy, almost suffocating.
Finally, she spoke. "Alright."
Her voice was calm and indifferent. "Now my suspicion is cleared."
With those words, she slowly lifted her hand.
The mont Damien saw that movent, panic exploded in his chest. "Wait!"
He raised both hands instinctively as if trying to block her.
"If you punch again or kill , you’ll definitely regret it!"
His breathing beca rapid. "I still have more information!"
Ivy chuckled softly when she heard that. "That blackmail technique of yours is quite ineffective."
Damien shook his head frantically.
"I’m not blackmailing you! It’s sothing I saw with my own eyes when that thing was controlling my body!"
Hearing the urgency in his tone, Ivy narrowed her eyes slightly.
She stared at him carefully, examining the seriousness in his expression.
After a brief mont, she leaned back slightly. "Fine."
She gestured lazily with her hand. "Continue."
However, Damien did not speak imdiately. Instead, he looked at Ivy with a strange expression.
The look was obvious enough that Ivy imdiately understood what he was thinking.
She chuckled again. "Don’t worry."
Her voice carried faint amusent. "I won’t beat you again."
She paused slightly before adding calmly,
"That’s the extent of my promise. I can’t guarantee anything beyond that."
Damien misunderstood her words completely.
A smile slowly spread across his swollen face.
’Good... I can trade the information now.’
He cleared his throat slightly before speaking again.
"From what I know... that superior being has companions."
Ivy’s eyes instantly turned colder.
Damien continued nervously.
"When it was inside my body, I heard it muttering sothing about them arriving soon."
He swallowed. "It sounded like they were preparing to cause trouble."
Ivy remained silent, her gaze growing increasingly sharp.
Damien added quickly,
"If I’m not mistaken, that thing has already deployed so of its people."
His voice lowered. "And when they arrive... chaos will follow."
Ivy suddenly chuckled softly. She nodded once. "Thank you."
Her voice sounded polite, almost pleasant. "Is there anything else?"
Damien shook his head imdiately. "No... that’s everything."
Ivy nodded calmly.
The next second... SNAP!
She snapped her fingers loudly.
The sharp sound echoed throughout the apartnt like a sudden crack of lightning.
At first, Damien looked confused.
But before he could ask anything, the apartnt door suddenly opened.
Two n walked inside without hesitation.
They moved straight toward Damien and grabbed him firmly from both sides.
Damien’s confusion imdiately turned into panic. "What are you doing?!"
He struggled violently in their grip. "Why are you arresting ?!"
His voice rose sharply. "Didn’t you promise not to harm ?!"
Ivy chuckled again. "I promised that I wouldn’t harm you."
She emphasized the word ’I’ calmly. "I never said other people wouldn’t."
Damien’s face twisted with fury. "You cheat!"
He pointed at Ivy angrily. "My parents will teach you a lesson once they hear about this!"
Ivy suddenly widened her eyes in mock surprise.
"Oh my... I forgot to tell you sothing."
Her tone sounded almost sympathetic. "Your parents are already dead."
The words struck Damien like a thunderbolt.
His eyes widened in disbelief. "That’s impossible!"
His voice cracked as he shook his head repeatedly. "How could that happen?!"
Ivy smiled faintly. "Not only them."
She tilted her head slightly. "Your sister Isla is dead too."
