Chloe looked at her with concern.

Alia narrowed her eyes slightly, suspicion evident.

’Did she do sothing...?’

The tension lingered until Ivy walked back. Completely unhard.

A collective sigh of relief spread through the group.

Silas let out a quiet sigh of relief, his shoulders finally relaxing as the tension left his body.

His gaze shifted briefly toward Scarlett, and he gave her a small, acknowledging nod.

Scarlett noticed.

But instead of responding, she simply rolled her eyes and looked away, clearly uninterested.

Seeing that, Silas didn’t press further. He just shrugged slightly and ignored her in return.

’Fine... suit yourself,’ he thought, his attention already drifting elsewhere.

Without warning, he stepped closer Ivy.

Ivy blinked in surprise as she suddenly felt his presence right beside her.

Before she could react, he leaned in slightly, his hand brushing lightly against her arm, his touch warm and familiar.

"I’m hungry," he said casually, his voice carrying a faint teasing undertone.

Ivy stared at him for a second, stunned.

Then she raised her hand and lightly patted his bicep, her brows lifting.

"...Hungry?" she repeated, her tone skeptical.

Silas nodded seriously.

"Yeah," he continued, his lips curling into a faint smile, "and only you can satisfy this hunger."

There was a brief pause. And then... It clicked.

Ivy’s expression changed instantly. ’...This idiot.’

A faint flush crept up her cheeks as she realized what he really ant.

Without hesitation, she slapped his arm, not hard, but enough to make a clear point.

"You’ve really learned how to flirt now, haven’t you?" she said, narrowing her eyes at him.

Silas chuckled. "I learned from the best," he replied smoothly.

Ivy rolled her eyes, though the corner of her lips betrayed her amusent.

Nearby, Chloe let out an exaggerated groan.

"Can you two not start again?" she muttered.

Alia, on the other hand, simply sighed, shaking her head as if she had already given up on stopping them.

Scarlett stood slightly apart, watching the interaction unfold.

For a brief mont, her gaze lingered on the two of them, the ease between them, the unspoken understanding, and the warmth that seed to naturally exist.

She smiled. But this ti, it was different. There was no bitterness. No hidden pain.

Just... freedom. A quiet release.

’So this is how it feels... to finally let go,’ she thought.

The past was still there. The mories hadn’t disappeared. But they no longer held her down.

..................................

Roma reached a secluded hideout.

This was the place that Marco, had told her to find if he ever encountered any kind of problem.

Now, he had indeed encountered one.

As he stepped deeper inside, his footsteps echoing softly in the hollow silence, he spotted Marco at the center of the room.

He appeared to be doing sothing random, his hand moving in slow, deliberate waves, his eyes tightly shut, his breathing steady yet heavy. But Roma knew better.

’He’s not just standing there... he’s communicating.’

Roma did not interrupt. Instead, he moved to the side, his presence quiet and patient, waiting until Marco’s communication ended.

After a few monts, Marco’s hand stilled. His fingers twitched once, then relaxed. Slowly, he opened his eyes.

The instant his gaze fell on Roma, his eyes narrowed slightly.

But there was no surprise. No confusion.

After all, as a superior being, he understood one thing very clearly: others like him could change their appearance at will.

Marco straightened his posture and stood up, his gaze sharp and probing.

"Identify yourself."

This ti, the superior being residing within Roma’s body did not bother hiding. His voice ca out calm, yet carried a faint weight of exhaustion.

"My na is Ferero."

The mont those words were spoken, Marco’s expression shifted. A faint smile appeared on his lips, though his eyes remained calculating.

"Ferero...?" he said slowly. "And what exactly are you doing inside Roma’s body? The last ti I checked, you were still occupying a man vessel."

Ferero let out a long, weary sigh. His shoulders seed to sink slightly, as though carrying an invisible burden.

"I wish I knew," he replied, his voice laced with frustration. "Even I didn’t expect my own plan to collapse like that..."

The air grew heavier as he began to explain everything. Every detail. Every miscalculation. Every unexpected turn.

By the ti he finished, silence filled the room once again.

Marco stared at him for a mont, then let out a low chuckle, shaking his head slightly.

"I’ve t many unlucky individuals," he said, his tone almost amused. "But this... this is the first ti I’ve seen soone as unlucky as you."

Ferero froze for a brief second. ’Unlucky...?’

From his perspective, he had already severed the misfortune he had once transferred from Ivy’s base. He believed he had escaped it. Left it behind.

But now...

It seed he hadn’t completely shaken it off after all.

Letting out another sigh, heavier this ti, he lowered himself onto a nearby seat.

"So what should I do now?" he muttered, his voice quieter. "I’ve lost my power. I’ve lost my original body. I’ve lost... almost everything."

His fingers curled slightly into a fist.

"I don’t even know where to begin again... as a superior being."

He paused, his gaze drifting downward.

"I thought dealing with humans would be simple," he continued, bitterness creeping into his tone. "But now... for the first ti, I realize I’ve encountered soone truly troubleso."

His eyes darkened. "Ivy..."

"She’s powerful. Not just in strength, but in planning. Her base is nearly impossible to infiltrate, and scheming against her is even harder."

Hearing those words, Marco let out a soft chuckle and casually sat down as well, leaning back slightly.

"That much is true," he admitted. "She is indeed a difficult opponent."

His expression turned slightly grim.

"When I incited Raya to betray the base... she ended up betraying instead."

A faint smirk appeared, but it lacked humor.

"That alone tells you how complicated things are."

He then looked directly at Ferero, his gaze sharp again.

"There is a way, though."

Ferero imdiately lifted his head, his eyes locking onto Marco’s face. ’A way...? ’
