Alana and Felix were stunned by Ivy’s prediction. How did she know? That was the only thought that echoed in their mind.
Seeing Felix’s astounded expression, Ivy got the answer she was seeking. Her heart pounded.

Alana, in the backseat, felt Ivy’s curious gaze, and her heart relaxed for an unknown reason. She admitted that Ivy’s beauty had made her insecure.
The young woman looked like a serene painting; her silky smooth pink hair cascaded down, while her pale skin seed to glow in increasing darkness.
Her brightly pink eyes radiated coldness and indifference, and the slight sweat on her face gave her a glossy skin appearance.
Feeling the beauty’s gaze, Alana felt her cheeks turning hot. She unconsciously rolled down the window, and when Ivy’s gaze brightened, seeing her, Alana’s heart blood with joy.
Felix watched the entire scene with a speechless expression. ’Oh wow... just a few seconds ago, my wife was worried I would cheat on her, but now... I am worried she will cheat on !’
He coughed slightly to gain the attention of the two beautiful won, only to be t with an indifferent gaze.
Felix: "..." Fine, I won’t say anything.
"Okay. I will travel with you." Ivy answered, and Felix heaved a sigh of relief. He watched as Ivy tried to open the door of the backseat and paused when she saw the two children lying on Alana’s lap.
Without any other word, she walked toward the passenger seat and, after sliding into the seat, she turned toward Alana.
"Are they your children?"
Alana nodded. The trance of interacting with a gorgeous younger woman broke, while the earlier worry clouded her mind again.
Ivy pretended to take sothing out of her pocket and passed it to Alana.
"I had a fever for the past few days and was carrying the dicine with . I have more in my ho. You can have these till then."
Alana took the dicine with the intention of seeing the na. When she saw the na fluoroquinolones, her heart skipped a beat, followed by her surprised cry.
"Felix! It’s the dicine that can treat our children’s fever!"
Felix was ecstatic; his grip on the wheel tightened, and the tension coursing in his body slowly dissipated.
Alana felt even more reassured when she saw that the packet was still sealed. It ant the likelihood of tampering was virtually nonexistent.
She retrieved a pill and gently administered it to her children. As the effects took hold, a wave of calm washed over her, and her eyelids fluttered shut.
Unaware of their exhaustion, Felix and Alana succumbed to sleep, the journey having quietly worn them down.
Ivy watched them fall asleep. Her heart was filled with mixed emotions. How can they let their guard down and sleep in front of a complete stranger?
Weren’t they worried that she might kill them?
If Felix and Alana could hear her thoughts, they would have rolled their eyes and explained that Ivy’s comforting aura relaxed their muscles.

They awoke to the gentle hum of the engine and the rolling green of Elro Hills, Ivy quietly steering the car.
Their heart tightened at the thought of Ivy bringing them to so gangs, but Alana recognized the Elro hills, even if a long ti had passed since she had returned.
Alana blinked at Felix, while her eyes strayed to Ivy, wriggling her eyebrow, as if asking Felix why Ivy was driving the car.
What awaited her was a shrug from Felix, who was equally clueless.
Alana narrowed her eyes, suspicion evident in them, as if accusing Felix of lying.
"You are awake? We are almost there. Say hi to Uncle Joseph on my behalf." Ivy’s lodious voice snapped the couple out of their secret conversation.
"You know Joseph?" Alana asked, her voice laced with surprise.
"Hm? He is a friend of my friend’s father." Ivy explained. Her words sounded a bit ambiguous. In fact, Joseph was Dante’s friend.
Alana’s finger hovered over her children’s foreheads. Feeling the coolness of their skin, she let out a relieved sigh, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Thank you for the dicine. If it weren’t for you, I don’t know..."
Midway through her sentence, she froze; the disastrous consequences she dared not imagine heavily weighed her heart down.
"No need." Ivy shook her head before stopping the car to the left side of the road and unblocking the seatbelt.
"I will leave now." With that, she alighted from the car. Alana tried to stop her. "Wait, at least let us drop you off at your location."
"No need." Ivy shook her head. Her eyes unconsciously fell on the two children, and her lips curled upward. "When they are cured completely, don’t forget to bring them to . I live in a military compound."
Before Felix and Alana could continue, Ivy left, filling the couple with complex feelings. They didn’t even get the chance to thank Ivy properly...
Not to ntion, she didn’t even ask for anything in return for her help. Her kindness made them realize that maybe... humanity was lost.
As long as they remain wary of ill-intentioned people and do not trust blindly, they might survive this ordeal.
