The two moved quickly, arriving at the entrance of the basent in just a few flickers. The interior matched Lin Tian’s vision perfectly.
"It’s really empty." Rossi stood at the basent entrance, frowning.
"How many vampires do you have in total? After sending so to Huaxia last ti, how many are left?" Lin Tian walked inside the basent, scanned the area, and asked.
"Last ti we were sent with thirteen Blood Clan mbers in total. The Elder Council allocated over a hundred million in funds for us and sent us to Huaxia disguised as rchants. But shortly after entering Huaxia, our identities were exposed, and we were hunted by Demon Exorcists."
"On that day at Fanyin Temple, only six Blood Clan mbers showed up, while the other seven were hunted down. Later, the remaining five were also killed, leaving only ."
"There are typically twenty Blood Clan mbers stationed at the abandoned church here. If the other Blood Clan mbers haven’t gone out on missions, there should be seven remaining behind." Rossi explained.
Lin Tian scanned the area again before saying, "So, does that an the remaining seven are out on missions?"
"I don’t know. Originally, there was a leader among those seven Blood Clan mbers responsible for relaying orders from the Elder Council and organizing our missions. If we capture that leader, we can interrogate him for the whereabouts of the Elder Council and further investigate Charlotte’s location." Rossi shook his head regretfully.
"That’s really unfortunate. It seems searching for Charlotte through your clan won’t work." Lin Tian said regretfully.
"Is it possible they only went out temporarily, for example, just to look for food?" Lin Tian spoke tactfully, considering that a vampire’s food is blood.
Perhaps high-level vampires don’t need to drink blood often, but low-level vampires must consu blood to maintain their strength. Maybe there are other foods, but Lin Tian wasn’t sure, and Rossi, because of the zombie blood from Brother Tian, didn’t need to drink blood to maintain his strength.
Rossi shook his head in denial, "No, as a base, the church wouldn’t be left completely unguarded even for hunting. There must be Blood Clan mbers left to guard against a Guardian ambush, which could result in total annihilation."
"The church is empty, which only has two explanations: either the Elder Council sent them all out on missions, or they were all killed by Guardians." Rossi said.
Guardians, always the Guardians—damn it, really throwing a wrench in my plans, Lin Tian thought angrily. From their perspective, hunting vampires is justified, but cutting off the search for Charlotte makes Lin Tian furious.
"Brother Tian, sothing’s not right. I vaguely sll human scent. It seems like soone has been here." Rossi said gravely.
"Maybe just a holess person. Look at the graffiti on the wall, it looks new." Lin Tian said nonchalantly.
The basent walls were covered with strange patterns, looking no different from graffiti outside, just freshly updated. So, Lin Tian assud it was a holess person who inadvertently entered.
After Lin Tian’s reminder, Rossi noticed the surrounding graffiti. He walked up to the wall and touched it. As soon as his fingers touched the paint, a white light suddenly flashed, and Rossi was thrown back as if struck by lightning.
"Rossi..." Lin Tian rushed to catch him, then looked at his fingers, now charred, "Rossi, what’s going on?"
Rossi stood up, unable to speak yet, when the graffiti on the walls began to glow one by one. The strokes and lines looked like they were dusted with fluorescent powder, emitting a shimring white light.
"This isn’t good, the Guardians have been here! They used potion to create these graffiti, and this special potion is highly damaging to low-level Blood Clan mbers. If not for Brother Tian’s zombie blood, I would have been seriously injured just now." Rossi exclaid in horror, looking unwell.
"No way, that’s so wicked?" Lin Tian said incredulously, but the evidence was right before him, forcing him to believe.
"This potion is said to be refined by humans through alchemy, specifically designed to combat the Blood Clan. As I ntioned earlier, the Guardians are constantly advancing, using wisdom to repeatedly create weapons to restrain the Blood Clan." Rossi said solemnly.
"In that case, the situation looks grim for those seven Blood Clan mbers." Lin Tian frowned.
As soon as he finished speaking, footsteps suddenly sounded outside. Lin Tian hadn’t had ti to rush out, and the people outside had already entered the basent passage. In just a few breaths, they arrived at the entrance. He patted Rossi, signaling him not to act rashly.
Four young n burst in; all were typical European young n, two with brown hair and two with blonde hair.
They all wore strange clothes, adorned with bizarre patterns, and each held a Cross Sword in their hands, with the hilt and guard forming a cross. The sword was slender, thinner than Huaxia longswords, but intricately patterned, giving it a mysterious appearance.
"Haha, look at these two stray vampires." A young man laughed loudly, as if seeing vampires excited him.
"I told you there would be strays this ti, now you believe ." Another said smugly.
"Kill these two, and we’ll gain even more points." Said another youth, though it was unclear what points he referred to in relation to vampires.
They spoke in English, and despite the fast pace, Lin Tian understood easily. From their attire and conversation, these people were probably Guardians, vampire hunters Rossi ntioned.
Nonetheless, Lin Tian feigned ignorance and boldly asked, "Who are you guys? Why are you here with weapons, unaware that Wudu prohibits carrying such lethal weapons? Are you bandits?"
Lin Tian’s words stunned the four young n because they hadn’t expected an Asian with black hair and black eyes to speak such fluent English.
After hearing Lin Tian’s words, they were stunned again but quickly recovered. The one furthest on the left laughed and replied, "Why do we carry weapons? Of course, to deal with you vile Blood Clan mbers. Accept your fate obediently, and I’ll grant you a swift end."
"I don’t know what you’re talking about! We’re rely tourists exploring here for adventure. If you’re attempting a robbery, I believe Wudu Court’s toughest judge and strongest prison await you! You’d better think clearly; if you leave now, I’ll pretend nothing happened." Lin Tian declared righteously.
His words left the four Guardians visibly confused, and even Rossi was bewildered, as it was the first ti he’d seen a vampire confront Guardians with such righteous indignation and dignity.
