"Fairy Sister, hello there! Are you the Miss’s master? My na is Lin Tian, may I ask what the Fairy Sister’s na is?" Lin Tian imdiately deployed his thick-skinned tactics, introducing himself and boldly asking for the na of the woman in white.
"Lin Tian..." The Miss cautiously glanced at her master, pulling Lin Tian aside, afraid that this brazen man might upset her master.
She knew her master’s temperant all too well, indifferent to everyone and everything. If she were to provoke her, even though Lin Tian was her friend, it might still be possible for him to get injured or even lose his life.
However, the woman in white rely glanced at Lin Tian indifferently, not engaging with his words at all. He turned back to the Miss and asked, "What is your master’s na, anyway? Did you notify her to co here?"
"No, I haven’t seen my master for a long ti. I have no idea where she has gone; how could I possibly notify her? As for her na, I can’t tell you. I promised when I beca her disciple that I wouldn’t talk to others about her," said the Miss. She seed to have a good relationship with her master, yet also appeared sowhat in awe, possibly due to an impression ford since childhood.
"Tsch, what era do you think we live in, still playing by these rules as if it’s ancient tis? Nowadays, all it takes is checking an ID card, and there’s hardly any information you can’t find," Lin Tian dismissed with a curl of his lip.
"Lin Tian, there are so people whose records even the police might not be able to find..." The Miss had just started to explain when suddenly a commotion erupted in the arena.
It turned out the ninjas could not stand by idly any longer. One of them suddenly threw his hand up, and a black rope shot out from beneath his sleeve, rocketing towards the golden sword in the middle of the arena and coiling around the hilt several tis.
Strangely, the golden sword did not emit any flas this ti, allowing the rope to bind it. The Japanese ninja sighed a huge sigh of relief, his eyes flickering with a surprised delight.
He exerted force to lift the golden sword, but suddenly a flash of silver light streaked past, and the rope was "sliced" into two. The ninja turned to look at the woman in white, his eyes filled with shock.
His rope was woven from nanoglass fibers, steel fibers, and carbon fibers through a special thod, making it incredibly tough. Yet now it had been cleanly cut in two by a streak of silver light, leaving him utterly astonished.
At that mont, the woman in white had in her hand a slender silver sword, reflecting a chilling cold light under the cool moonlight. Lin Tian had seen very clearly that the woman in white had taken out the silver sword from nowhere, then with a light tap of her foot, she had glided over, cutting the rope with one stroke and lightly tapped the ground to retreat back to her position.
Her movents were so swift it was as if she had never left her spot, yet she had actually made a round trip. Oddly, she did not take away the golden sword on the ground but left it there.
Lin Tian didn’t know why, but he could only guess that she might have been afraid of becoming the target of a multitude, or possibly the golden sword’s style did not suit her. This was because the sword she held was a narrow type, suitable for a woman to wield. In contrast, the golden sword had a broader blade and likely a heavier weight, probably incompatible with her Ancient Martial cultivation techniques and swordplay style.
"Leave, all of you. I won’t let you take the sword," the woman in white declared, holding the sword angled towards the ground, her tone indifferent as she looked at the people in the arena, leaving no room for doubt in her statent.
By speaking out like that, she had made enemies of both the vampires and the ninjas, who cast malevolent glances her way. The vampires and ninjas exchanged a look and charged towards the woman in white simultaneously.
"Manxue, you don’t have to take action, just look after your sister and Lin Tian," the woman said to Xiao Manxue, standing her ground undaunted.
The master’s words brought a wry smile to Miss’s face. Protecting her sister was manageable, but Lin Tian was a different story. Having been outmatched by him several tis before, Miss had co to terms with the fact that she was no match for Lin Tian, let alone protect him. Her master, unaware of this, was the one making absurd statents.
At the scene, only the intimately acquainted Xiao sisters knew of Lin Tian’s skills. To all appearances, Lin Tian seed no different from an ordinary person. He, too, found it odd that he could identify vampires yet they couldn’t recognize his zombie identity, ultimately attributing it to the vampires’ lower level.
The ninja’s advantage lay in assassination and surprise attacks, so they naturally wouldn’t charge in recklessly. Halfway through their charge, the ninjas simultaneously threw an object on the ground, which was followed by a loud "bang" as a thick smog rose, enveloping the area.
In the blink of an eye, Lin Tian saw ninjas encircling the woman in white from five directions. anwhile, vampires produced short staffs from nowhere, made of tal and engraved with exquisite, indented patterns.
The indents ran along the shaft towards the top, converging where a black bat was perched, its wings spread with sharp, knife-like edges, glinting with the cold light of tal. The bat’s head was pointed, and the patterns running along the staff focused towards the top.
These patterns looked less like decorations and more like grooves for bloodletting. Lin Tian could envision the horrid scene where, upon being stabbed into a person’s body, the blood would flow along the grooves, creating a macabre, blood-red design.
The vampires aid their short staffs at the woman in white’s heart, their speed so great that they cut through the surrounding smoke, leaving trails in their wake. Seizing the perfect mont, the ninjas took a cylindrical object from their waists, blew into it, and five needle-thin, hair-like needles shot out, their tips gleaming with an eerie blue light, a sign of potent poison.
In such dire straits, Lin Tian believed that Miss would not be able to fend off this assault. Unsure of her master’s prowess, he considered stepping in to help.
Only he had a clear view of the situation inside, and although the woman in white was a bit haughty, she was still Miss’s master—how could he stand by and do nothing? Moreover, it was uncertain if the Demon Exorcism Girl wasn’t helping because of sothing the woman in white had said earlier; she simply frowned and watched the scene unfold through the smokescreen.
However, the next mont made Lin Tian retract his intention to intervene. The woman in white snorted coldly, her empty hand moved swiftly, and when she stopped, she held the five incoming needles between her fingers.
With a flick of her hand, she hurled the needles back at the attacking vampires. The needles flew faster than before, and in a flash, five "hiss" sounds followed as the needles each found their way into the eyes of five vampires.
The one who had his hand severed before was not hit. With a cruel sneer, he aid to stab the woman in white’s heart with the short staff but struck nothing. Then, he saw a flash of silver and his newly regenerated arm was once again severed, falling to the ground along with the bat-topped short staff.
The severed arm on the ground turned into black smoke and flew back to the vampire, regenerating once more. Without a chance to retrieve the short staff on the ground, he hastily retreated from the smog. The woman in white didn’t pursue, calmly stepping back, while the five attacking ninjas, seeing the vampires struck by the needles, dared not charge forward and vanished into the background.
