After a round of campaign speeches and voting, the list of class officers ca out. Without a doubt, Mu Binglan topped the list, receiving votes from all the girls. The girls outnumbered the boys, so she naturally had an advantage in voting. Nevertheless, she did leave quite a strong impression.
What surprised the boys was that Qiao Xiaoyi actually got elected. Besides the nine votes from the boys, quite a few girls voted for him too. It seems that although this kid caused so laughs, the impression he left on the girls was still positive. At least the girls describe him as cute.
The class officers were selected, and each position was announced. The class leader is a short-haired girl nad He Xiaofei, who looks quite mature. Unsurprisingly, the athletic commissioner is Mu Binglan. However, Lin Tian was surprised at Qiao Xiaoyi’s position — he beca the life commissioner.
The life commissioner’s position is quite sensitive because it involves a very crucial aspect: managing the class eting fees, covering all details of collections and expenditures.
Anything involving money tends to make people sensitive, and so might even do so shady things. Lin Tian isn’t sure if other class officers would do such things, but he trusts that Qiao Xiaoyi wouldn’t. Once the class officers were assembled, their first task was to organize the distribution of new books. University’s new books cannot be compared to high school’s; firstly, there are many of them, and secondly, many are hefty volus.

Qiao Xiaoyi suddenly leaned in and whispered, "Brother Lin, thank you."
"What are you thanking for?" Lin Tian didn’t understand what he ant.
Qiao Xiaoyi whispered again, "During the exchange of contact information among class officers, I got her contact info."
"Her?" Lin Tian was stunned but soon understood: "Got it, you were denying liking her just now."
Qiao Xiaoyi smiled shyly and said, "I was afraid you’d joke about . My mom was strict in high school, and even though I had thoughts like that, I didn’t dare to express them."
"Seems like you really listen to your mom; you’re a good kid." Lin Tian comnted.
"My mom is quite strict, and sotis her thods are wrong, but I understand it’s all for my good. She has already worried and worked hard enough for ; if I go against her, would I still be a stand-up guy?" Qiao Xiaoyi said resolutely.
Lin Tian was quite surprised. The simple and kind Qiao Xiaoyi possesses such a strong inner self, discerning right from wrong. Lin Tian patted his shoulder and then gave a thumbs-up: "You’re a real man, a true gentleman."
The boys all turned up to carry books this ti, alongside the class officers, and the group soon arrived at the School of Life Sciences.
The school was larger than Lin Tian imagined, consisting of several tall buildings that ford the main complex of the institution. When they walked in, Lin Tian saw a stele standing outside one of the tall buildings, engraved with: Life Sciences Laboratory.
The group halted, curious. Anything designated as "Life Sciences Laboratory" is no simple matter because this subject is vast, and without significant expertise, one wouldn’t dare use such an ambitious title.
"This laboratory is supported by a scientific fund, jointly established by Jinghua University’s School of Life Sciences and renowned experts. It brings together top dostic and foreign life sciences experts. The laboratory has two notable research projects — full human geno mapping and stem cells. Allegedly, these studies could yield a series of outcos like cloning, hereditary disease treatnt, even unlocking the secret to human immortality." A voice suddenly echoed, Lin Tian turned to see Class Leader He Xiaofei speaking.
"Immortality? Isn’t that a bit exaggerated, Class Leader?" a boy asked in surprise.
He Xiaofei smiled and said, "What’s exaggerated about it? Human aging is controlled by genes; if we unravel the mysteries of aging, naturally we’d grasp the control of human lifespan."
"Class Leader, you know so much." Other students admired.
"It’s nothing. These topics are introduced on the school’s website; if you’re willing to check them out, you’ll naturally learn." He Xiaofei smiled.
Lin Tian chuckled faintly saying, "I think this technology may not be good news for humanity."
"Why?" He Xiaofei looked at Lin Tian, slightly raising an attractive eyebrow.
Qiao Xiaoyi, Mu Binglan, and others also turned to look at Lin Tian. Their impression of Lin Tian was still profound; at least he was the most handso in the class.

"Alright, let’s go move the books, the teacher’s been waiting for a long ti." Mu Binglan broke the silence and glanced at Lin Tian when she turned around.
As He Xiaofei walked past Lin Tian, she said, "Student Lin Tian, I thought you had a nice way of speaking; why didn’t you run for class officer?"
Lin Tian shrugged casually, saying, "With a class leader as pretty as He Xiaofei, why bother entering a beauty contest?"
He Xiaofei is quite pretty, although not possessing the almost dangerous beauty of the Xiao sisters, but she can certainly be the class flower, comparable to Qi Jing.
He Xiaofei didn’t expect Lin Tian to respond like this, she paused in surprise and then shook her head with a smile. She didn’t notice soone in front, rushing past with a lowered head, suddenly bumping into her shoulder, causing her to lose balance and fall back.
