"Oh, you still have a trump card?" Xu Feibai smiled slightly, surprise appearing on his face.
Lin Tian flicked his wrist, and a violet fla rose over a ter high. When the fla disappeared, a purple sword was already in his hand, the Heavenly Tribulation Sword.
With the Heavenly Tribulation Sword in hand, Lin Tian’s aura surged again, while the Flowing Light in Xu Feibai’s hand buzzed and vibrated of its own accord.
Xu Feibai looked down at it, then looked at Lin Tian’s Heavenly Tribulation Sword, the surprise on his face even stronger than before: "Good sword."
"You’re the one who’s cheap," Lin Tian cursed, then moved in, slashing a sword at Xu Feibai. Using words to persuade is not as good as using force; this is the zombie’s proper way of communication.
Clang...
Xu Feibai raised his sword to block, the clash of blades releasing dazzling sparks. Lin Tian frowned, finding the Tang Blade Flowing Light not as easily shattered as he had anticipated, not even damaged!
With a click, just as Lin Tian was montarily distracted, Xu Feibai twisted the hilt, the blade scraping the edge of the Heavenly Tribulation Sword, emitting a screeching sound. In a flash, Xu Feibai followed the Heavenly Tribulation Sword with a slash, aid at Lin Tian’s hand and wrist holding the sword.
The speed of this slash was extrely fast; if it struck Lin Tian, his fingers and wrist could be severed by the Flowing Light. Although he was a zombie, Xu Feibai had said that the Flowing Light could kill zombies and could directly confront the Heavenly Tribulation Sword, indicating Xu Feibai wasn’t lying.
Though Lin Tian wasn’t well-versed in swordsmanship, he had often sparred with Miss as a training partner, learning so swordsmanship through these close-quarter kills which emphasized speed, accuracy, and brutality, with power being secondary.
He flicked his wrist, the sword body flipped accordingly, the sword guard just erecting, blocking the Flowing Light’s slash with a click. With a forceful flick, Lin Tian slung Xu Feibai’s treacherous slash aside.
"Stop wasting ti, give it your all." Lin Tian shouted, the violet fla on his hand spreading from the hilt to the sword body, then to the tip, turning the Heavenly Tribulation Sword into a massive violet fla sword instantly.
Xu Feibai’s expression was grave, his wrist trembled, and the Flowing Light emitted not a buzzing but a shrill whistling sound, like the cries of vengeful spirits from Hell. A black aura spread from the blade, soon enveloping the Flowing Light.
At the sa ti, the blood mist from Xu Feibai’s hand tangled around the blade. In an instant, the glowing Flowing Light Saber turned pitch-black, blood light flickering unsettlingly within it.
Lin Tian knew the black aura and piercing howl were the energy of the Demon Blade, but he couldn’t care about that much, swinging his sword while growling low: "Sword Energy Cross!"
Countless sword shadows spread like a peacock’s tail, but more brilliant than a peacock, purple sword shadows intertwining with purple flas, overwhelming Xu Feibai.
The "Sword Energy Cross" Lin Tian executed was more powerful than Tang Ziqing’s, like a torrent of sword blades, a torrent of flas, destroying everything in its path!
Xu Feibai’s countenance grew serious again as Lin Tian repeatedly shattered his expectations, each ti giving him a new understanding, yet his fighting spirit intensified, as if encountering a lifeti opponent.
"Sword Gang, Devour Blood!"
Xu Feibai swung the Flowing Light Saber, pulling a black mist trail with his movents, blade light flickering and blood surging within it. His speed was incredibly swift, as black mist, high light, blood light swirled and condensed around him, forming a Gang Qi barrier.
The descending sword shadows mixed with violet flas pierced into the black Gang Qi in an instant. With a single impact, the ground seed to quake, the surrounding air thrumming, detonating, boiling like a nuclear blast.
Bang bang bang...
Lin Tian’s sword shadows continuously impacted, whereas Xu Feibai’s Sword Gang shielded against all the strikes.
When all the impacts ceased, Xu Feibai’s Sword Gang collapsed with a thunderous burst, blasting him backward like a humanoid missile, piercing through all the walls of a factory before crashing into a boiler’s foundation, collapsing a large section of the steel-concrete base, finally stopping him.
Lin Tian wasn’t faring well either, blown away by the explosive force of the Sword Gang, shooting backward. However, he was slightly better off, stopping after flying ten ters by stabbing his sword into the ground.
Xu Feibai bore the brunt of the Sword Gang’s explosion along with Lin Tian’s Sword Energy Cross’s impact, while Lin Tian was only struck by the aftershock, naturally not as dire as Xu Feibai.
Lin Tian imdiately stood, though he felt pain throughout his body like being run over by a tank. Regardless, he fixed his gaze on the boiler’s ruins.
He knew Xu Feibai wouldn’t die so easily, and as if sensing it, the ruins burst open with a rumble as a figure slowly erged. However, after just a few steps, a look of pain flashed across his face, his body swaying.
"Don’t hold on, I’m in agony, you surely are worse off, Sword Energy Cross is attack, Sword Gang is defense, I’m slightly ahead, you lost." Lin Tian, disregarding the pain, broke into a happy smile.
Ever since losing to Xu Feibai at the shrine last ti, a knot stayed in Lin Tian’s heart, with an unshakable thought — to beco stronger, much stronger, then defeat Xu Feibai.
Winning or losing might be aningless to two zombies, but to Lin Tian, winning was the greatest aning — even if the opponent was powerful, he refused to admit defeat, promising one day to surpass, surpass all strong foes before him.
Call it stubborn or persistence, Lin Tian was this obstinate, once a decision was made, not even ten elephants could pull him back.
"You did it, you won." Xu Feibai wasn’t despondent, rather calmly smiling, "But, you still can’t get my blood. As I said, without my consent, no one can take my blood, pride isn’t yours alone."
"Is that so?" Lin Tian suddenly smirked, as a faint, crescent-shaped shadow flew from him, small like a crescent moon, but this crescent was blood-red.
Xu Feibai’s pupils instantly dilated, but it was too late, the Crescent Blade pierced through his body like Tang Xuan Su’s sword light piercing Lin Tian, leaving a slender blood seam on his chest.
The Crescent Blade exited through his back, carrying Xu Feibai’s blood, embedding into the wall behind with a puff.
With a thud, Xu Feibai half-kneeled, his right hand supporting himself on the ground with the Flowing Light Sword. His hair was slightly disheveled, sowhat abashed, eyes filled with astonishnt.
"Sword Control!"
Xu Feibai exclaid, "You actually did it! Remote Sword Control!"
This was his biggest shock of the night, for Lin Tian’s Crescent Blade suddenly flew, revealing that Lin Tian could manipulate swords from afar, a technique he’d once taught Lin Tian using zombie blood sacrifice — he’d ntioned it casually, never expecting Lin Tian to achieve it.
But now, Lin Tian had done it!
