Both were slightly drunk and didn’t notice among the dozen or so people in the eting room were a few strangers. Manager Zhao took his place at the head of the table, with Ma Xiangrong, the Beverage Supervisor, and Logistics Supervisor sitting beside him.

Yet a female supervisor stood up – it was HR Supervisor Lu Jia. She frowned and said, "Manager Zhao, issuing a punishnt without full inquiry is not in accordance with regulations. At a minimum, you should give Captain Hu a chance to explain himself. Moreover, the procedure to penalize an employee has to pass through the HR Supervisor’s process. The other supervisors too were curious to know who had called for the eting. Hu Ying had received instructions from Lin Tian, so of course, he couldn’t reveal it and remained seated, locking eyes with Manager Zhao but not responding to his inquiry.
"You see, he’s given up the chance to explain. That new accountant, rember to deduct the fine from this month’s salary," Manager Zhao declared, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
