"This..." Principal Yan broke into a cold sweat upon hearing this. He wiped his forehead and took a few sips of tea before calming down.
Principal Yan suddenly realized that this young student was too terrifying, having harbored such a grand plan without showing the slightest hint, even putting him to the test. Would such a character even care about a re guaranteed admission spot? He felt ashad of his own behavior.
Thinking that his school housed such an extraordinary student, he didn’t know whether to be happy or worried.
"Principal Yan, there’s nothing wrong with chasing fa and fortune, but one must do it with integrity and not sell out their own character. The fact that you were still able to make that choice just now shows you have so backbone. I believe you can certainly handle projects like the scholarship fund and dical fund well, right?" Lin Tian said, which amounted to a promise to entrust him with the project.
Such influential projects, if well managed, would beco a major achievent in his career and turn him into a national star principal. Lin Tian wasn’t worried about him harboring any ill intentions—Xiao Manxue would be the one handling the operational funding, while Principal Yan was only responsible for the specifics.
Even so, as the principal of this school, the honors he stood to gain were unimaginable.
"Lin Tian, rest assured, I do love reputation, but if I ss this up, it would be letting down all the students and their families—I’m very clear on that. So, I will dedicate all my energy to do it well," Principal Yan said seriously, almost as if promising with a hand over his heart.
"That’s good to hear. We’re proud to have such a principal. I won’t take up any more of your ti then. We have to attend class, goodbye," Lin Tian said, looking every bit the part of a diligent student.
"Uh, wait, when will these two projects start?" Principal Yan asked, looking at Lin Tian with hopeful anticipation.
"I wouldn’t know about that. I’m just a student after all. It’s the Miss of the Xiao Family who will be handling it. She’ll naturally consult with the school once everything is ready on her end. It should be soon," Lin Tian responded rather irresponsibly.
Xiao Manxuan gave him an annoyed glare. It was all initiated by him, and now he found it troubleso, playing the role of a hands-off manager, leaving his sister to handle everything solo. How infuriating.
"Second Miss, don’t look at like that. I’m just a bodyguard for your family; of course, it’s for the Miss to handle," Lin Tian chuckled, then turned to leave the principal’s office.
The little girl had no choice but to follow him out, fuming. Principal Yan could only shake his head and give a wry smile. With such a persona, calling yourself a re bodyguard—who would believe that?
"Scoundrel, do you think Principal Yan will have trouble if he removes those people from the list? Like Sun Hai and the others giving him a hard ti?" Walking down the corridor of the teaching building, Xiao Manxuan couldn’t help but ask after a while.
"Of course they’ll give him a hard ti. If those people are ruthless enough, they might even try to force him out," Lin Tian replied, though his tone was sowhat dismissive.
"Ah, that wouldn’t be good, would it? If we got a new principal, there’s no guarantee they would do as well as Principal Yan," Xiao Manxuan said.
The little girl was just too kind-hearted, always considering others.
Lin Tian had no choice but to explain: "Don’t worry, Principal Yan won’t have any issues. Once the scholarship and dical funds project kicks off, his reputation will soar high. Those people won’t be able to touch him after that. Despite his love for recognition, he’s not greedy. You see, he used the Xiao Family’s donation for the school’s developnt and didn’t line his own pockets. Just for that, he’s done a good job as principal."
"Scoundrel, you’re so clever to think of that," Xiao Manxuan looked at Lin Tian admiringly and chuckled.
"Heh, don’t be smitten by , I’m just a legend," Lin Tian chuckled shalessly.
"Hmph, you’re too full of yourself," Xiao Manxuan playfully rolled her eyes at him and huffed.
This little girl, even her glare was charming. Once she grew up a bit more, this green apple would definitely be fragrant and delicious. Lin Tian couldn’t help but quip, "Everyone has to be infatuated with sothing., if not self-love, then in love with soone else. Since you won’t let love myself, then I might as well love you instead."
"You... I..." The little girl’s pretty face blushed, and it took her a mont to say, "I don’t want you to be infatuated with , you big bully."
Then she trotted off with light steps, her slender legs making her skirt flutter as she ran beneath the sunlight, creating an extrely charming sight.
Lin Tian truly wished for the girl to stay eighteen forever, always so beautiful and carefree. He stopped to appreciate her lovely figure, lost in thought.
"Is that you, Lin Tian?" Suddenly a voice ca, interrupting Lin Tian’s thoughts.
He turned toward the direction of the voice and saw a beautiful woman walking down the stairs behind him, holding several books.
With a delicate, fair face and a curvaceous figure, she wore a white blouse and a knee-length black skirt, looking elegant and capable. This beauty was the new English teacher, Liu Ru ng.
When she saw Lin Tian didn’t answer, she continued, "You are Lin Tian, right? I didn’t make a mistake, did I?"
But as she held the books and looked at Lin Tian, she failed to watch her step on the last two stairs. She missed them, stumbled, and started to fall forward.
"Ah..." Liu Ru ng let out a panicked scream.
The staircase led to the teacher’s office, and at that mont there were no students around, nor any teachers passing by. Liu Ru ng felt utterly helpless, thinking she was about to have a bad fall. Lin Tian was quite a distance from the stairs, she had no expectations that he could suddenly appear to rescue her.
By the ti Liu Ru ng had dropped the books in her hands, she instinctively stretched out both arms, trying to brace herself against the fall. But suddenly, it seed a figure blurred before her eyes, and she found herself firmly in the arms of this person.
When everything cald down, Liu Ru ng gradually regained her senses and realized she was being held by soone, her own hands tightly wound around this person’s neck.
She lifted her head slightly and leaned back, finally seeing the person up close. It was Lin Tian.
"Teacher Ru ng, are you alright?" Lin Tian said, gently holding Liu Ru ng’s slender waist with both hands and smiling faintly.
Teacher Ru ng had a slim figure, her waist so delicate it seed it could be encircled with just one hand. Her body emitted a faint scent of roses. Lin Tian wondered what brand of perfu it was—quite pleasant actually. For a mont, he almost didn’t want to let her go.
But then he thought better of it. After all, they were in a public place, and while he didn’t mind, it wouldn’t look good for Liu Ru ng if they were seen by others.
"Lin Tian, let go, please back away a little," Liu Ru ng said with a flustered expression, urging him urgently.
Lin Tian felt bemused, wondering who exactly was holding onto whom. Maybe Liu Ru ng was addled by the scare.
He said helplessly, "Teacher Ru ng, you’re holding onto so tight, how am I supposed to let go?"
