"Lin Tian, you finally arrived. I thought you had gotten lost in a foreign land," Miss said as she walked out of the banquet hall, clearly displeased upon seeing Lin Tian.

By her side, there were two middle-aged n and won, all looking relaxed, having just co from the banquet hall. They seed familiar to each other, but Lin Tian did not recognize these two middle-aged n and won.

The middle-aged man, in his forties, was also dressed in a suit, his expression stern, suggesting he was usually quite strict and disciplined.

The woman wore a light-colored skirt suit with her hair up. Her expression, unlike the man’s, was warm and smiling, which seed to uplift one’s mood at first glance.

Upon Miss’s call, everyone turned their attention toward Lin Tian.

Lin Tian felt utterly speechless. As to the reason for his lateness, it largely rested on Miss, who had so many suitors blocking the entrance and causing such a commotion.

He smiled slightly, saying, "Miss, Zhou Botong and I had actually arrived at the entrance earlier, but outside were many young talents who ca admiringly, so we had a friendly exchange with them."

As he said "ca admiringly" and "young talents," Lin Tian put a little emphasis on these words, presumably, Miss would understand the implication.

Indeed, Miss paused, then quickly grasped the aning in Lin Tian’s words and snorted softly, without further comnt.

"Ah, this must be Lin Tian," a woman’s voice suddenly exclaid with boundless surprise.

Lin Tian wondered who it might be, only to see it was the woman standing next to Miss. This woman approached Lin Tian, then circled around him, scrutinizing him from head to toe.

Although Lin Tian considered himself to have thick skin, he almost felt defeated under this woman’s gaze. Who was she?

"Mom, we are outside..." Zhou Botong suddenly stepped forward, grabbing the woman’s hand.

Mom? Lin Tian was startled. This was Zhou Botong’s mother—he recalled the note left in the living room when he went to fetch soone that morning, and given this woman’s behavior, it indeed matched.

"So you are Mrs. Zhou; I apologize for my oversight," Lin Tian said very formally.

The Xiao sisters, seeing his solemn deanor, could not help but laugh, knowing how hard it was for this rascal to act seriously.

"Just call Aunt Ding. You must be the Lin Tian that Botong often ntions. Truly a commanding presence," Mrs. Zhou complinted warmly, with a familiar air.

Lin Tian humbly replied, "Aunt Ding flatters . My appearance is all thanks to my parents. We should thank them."

"Well said, Botong, you should learn from Lin Tian and stop being so informal with all the ti," Mrs. Zhou praised Lin Tian and then turned to admonish Zhou Botong, much to his dismay.

Grandpa is like this, and Mom is too. Am I your grandson, or is Lin Tian your grandson, Zhou Botong thought helplessly, looking skyward in resignation, only able to pitifully turn his glance to Lin Tian.

Feeling helpless himself, Mrs. Zhou suddenly sighed, "It’s a pity; if Botong were a girl, I would have surely introduced him to you."

At that mont, Zhou Botong felt as if thunder was rumbling overhead, completely dumbstruck by his own mother’s words. He looked helplessly at the middle-aged man, who, however, pretended to be admiring the scenery, seemingly oblivious to the conversation.

Not just Zhou Botong—Lin Tian felt utterly defeated too, suspecting that Zhou Botong’s personality was largely influenced by his mother. But, from Zhou Botong’s look, he could guess that the middle-aged man was indeed Zhou Botong’s father.

"I presu you are Zhou Botong’s father. Botong and I are close buddies, and he has always been very loyal. Seeing you today, it appears he has inherited that from Uncle Zhou," Lin Tian complinted, managing to cleverly change the subject to avoid any awkward outcos if Mrs. Zhou continued talking.

"Ha ha, you young man have quite an eye. I am indeed Botong’s father, Zhou Hongzhe, but don’t praise him too much; he might beco arrogant," the middle-aged man said modestly, though his face was full of smiles.

As a father, praise for his son naturally made him proud.

Miss showed a helpless smile. Lin Tian might not seem very serious normally, but in such settings, he had a certain charm that effortlessly made others feel favorable toward him.

At that mont, Elder Zhou and Mrs. Xiao ca over, and Lin Tian, feeling embarrassed to act casually in front of Elder Zhou and Mrs. Xiao, took the initiative to say, "Elder Zhou, it’s embarrassing that you had to go abroad for the opening of Tianxue Jewelry."

"Lin Brother, it’s really your fault for not visiting this old man. I had to co see you," Elder Zhou said with a friendly smile.

The various titles given to him by this family left Lin Tian sowhat speechless. He was a peer to Zhou Botong, a junior in the presence of Zhou Hongzhe and his wife, but Elder Zhou called him "Lin Brother," almost a peer ntion, making it all as ssy as a pot of porridge.

Nevertheless, Lin Tian was an open-minded man, not one to fuss over formalities. What mattered was the heartfelt connections; if people overly emphasized titles, they would lose that essential simplicity and authenticity.

So people, after becoming a leader in the company or achieving a little success, felt displeased and even bore grudges if others did not address them as ’Boss’ or so bureaucratic title. Such people were truly hypocritical.

Only soone like Elder Zhou could be considered a true master, a master not only in achievents but also in spiritual stature.

Lin Tian was about to speak when a person rushed in from outside, appearing to be the manager or similar authority of Heavenly Mansion.

She approached Mrs. Xiao and said, "Chairperson, the guests outside have almost arrived, and it’s about ti, shall we start now?"

Lin Tian’s ears twitched, hearing the voices of those young gentlen from outside the gate, almost reaching this part of the banquet hall. Along with these young people, there were also earlier arrivals, now all converging toward the banquet hall.

The young gentlen were so accompanying their parents, others representing them but the event they eagerly attended—a seemingly boring opening ceremony—was all because of the Miss of the Xiao Family.

Glancing at the delicate lady’s watch on her wrist, Mrs. Xiao declared, "The auspicious ti has arrived, let the fireworks welco the guests."

The woman manager spoke a few words into a walkie-talkie, followed by a booming sound of firecrackers from outside that lasted several minutes before quieting down.

Then, several attractive hostesses appeared within sight, guiding the guests as they slowly entered.

Leading the way was Yun Xiaotian, and a few steps behind was a visibly sullen Li Wenrong.
