With a voice full of killing intent, Cunzheng, amidst the black aura of the Demon Blade, reflected a blood-red light. He struck the Barrier with his blade, then withdrew and struck again, beginning a series of increasingly rapid slashes until only a blur of blade shadows was visible.
This fierce wave of attacks all landed on the Barrier. Initially, the Barrier only rippled like water, but as the Thousand Layers Kill assault continued, black aura began to condense on the Barrier, growing more and more until it ford into a massive fist, which then punched down towards Cunzheng.
Since Cunzheng and Lin Tian were one, striking Cunzheng was like striking Lin Tian, and this strike was far more powerful than a giant bear’s.
"Stop, you idiot, dodge!" Lin Tian yelled out loud, fearing that Ning Luoxi and the others would co, he added another line, "Luoxi, don’t co over here."
But the Demon Blade didn’t listen to him and continued its frenzied attack on the Barrier, "Boom, boom, boom..." The massive fist hit Lin Tian directly, smashing him to the ground.
"Damn you, blade, I curse your instant noodles to co without a seasoning pack!" Lin Tian lay on the ground, gasping for air as he spoke.
"What is instant noodles?" Cunzheng’s puzzled voice sounded, then said: "Eh, weren’t you supposed to be under my control? How did you end up on the ground by yourself?"
As he spoke, he controlled Lin Tian’s body and stood up nonchalantly, even going as far as to pat the dust off his clothes.
"You really don’t rember what just happened?" Lin Tian asked, sensing from his tone that he wasn’t pretending.
"What happened just now? Oh, right, I was seriously pissed off by this junior. In a rage, as you humans say, I went blank, and then I just collapsed to the ground," said the Demon Blade innocently.
Lin Tian was infuriated and roared, "Damn it, you furiously attacked the barrier, triggering its retaliation and getting punched to the ground. You’re hundreds of years old—no, you’re not even human, you’re hundreds of years old as a blade. Can’t you handle situations more calmly?"
"Calm my ass! Could you stay calm if you saw your archenemy standing right in front of you?" the Demon Blade retorted.
Archenemy? I’m a zombie. My archenemy should be the Demon Exorcist, but aren’t I cooperating nicely with the Demon Exterminating Master now? Lin Tian thought nonchalantly.
The Earth is round; nothing is definite, everything is possible. Who knows, maybe soday, this zombie will end up seducing that Demon Exterminating Master, Lin Tian thought arrogantly.
"Nine Nether Netherworld God, grant the Hellfire to incinerate evil..." Guizhong Yilang knelt with both knees, raising the wooden staff, suddenly chanting a prayer.
"...Hellfire, arise!" Guizhong Yilang chanted swiftly, finishing the spell with a snap of his lips. As he finished the word "arise," a dark red fire flared up on the semi-transparent barrier.
The flas clung to the barrier, twirling and burning, with wisps of black smoke rising from them. The smoke rose a few inches high before being pulled back into the flas, repeating this cycle endlessly, like souls tornted and purified in the flas for all eternity!
"It’s lighting up!" Cunzheng exclaid.
"I can see that, no need to tell ," Lin Tian replied irritably, then turned to the Heavenly Master Girl, "Beautiful Sky Master, you’re a Demon Exorcist, and you share the sa origins as the Onmyoji from a thousand years ago. Don’t you have a way to break the barrier? Otherwise, we might really end up being roasted."
After pondering for a mont, the Heavenly Master Girl said, "There is a way. If I use my Heavenly Master’s Magic Artifact, I can definitely shatter this barrier."
"Then hurry up! What are you waiting for?" Cunzheng urged.
Though he spoke bravely, he knew the gravity of their situation. He had the rotten luck of encountering a descendant of the Guizhong Clan, his bane. The spells were developed by the ancestors of the Guizhong Clan specifically to counter the Demon Blade with the purpose of subduing it.
Though the actual Demon Blade was unhard by the fire, the consciousness that had just ford was about to be destroyed. Cunzheng couldn’t accept this.
Lin Tian hadn’t thought that far. The Hellfire posed a mortal threat to the Demon Blade, but he didn’t care much about it. The Purple Fla that had burned so fiercely from the golden sword had been withstandable by him; Hellfire was hardly a concern.
What he cared more about was the barrier. Whether he could break it in his transford state was one thing; the real issue was that he was still controlled by the Demon Blade, which stubbornly refused to relinquish control.
But if the Heavenly Master Girl had a way to break the barrier, that would be best. It would prevent exposing his zombie identity, and he also knew what the Heavenly Master Girl’s Magic Artifact was—it was the formidable White Tiger Seal.
