"Yao Yun, this..." Lin Tian touched his nose, unsure of what to say. With his skills, he could easily dodge, but sohow he didn’t.
"Brother Lin, this is my first kiss. I want to rember this night forever..." Yao Yun said softly, her face blushing. In the end, unable to withstand Lin Tian’s gaze, she turned and jogged away.
As she left the rooftop, she glanced back at Lin Tian, her eyes holding a faint disappointnt but no regret. The young girl, with a complex mix of emotions, disappeared from Lin Tian’s sight.
Lin Tian shook his head and sighed to himself, Lin Tian, Lin Tian, you must hold yourself together.
Just as he was thinking, his phone suddenly rang. Lin Tian looked at it, finding it was an unfamiliar number. Who could it be? He answered the call curiously.
"Lin Tian, it’s ..." A gentle voice sounded. Lin Tian imdiately recognized it as Qi Jing’s voice.
"What’s up?" Lin Tian said flatly. He had no more feelings for Qi Jing; after the college entrance exams, everyone might never et again in their lifeti.
"I... I’m not feeling well. Can you help take a look?" Qi Jing’s voice was soft, with a strange tone.
Lin Tian frowned slightly, saying, "If you’re not feeling well, go to the hospital."
"Aren’t you a doctor?" Qi Jing said quietly.
"To be accurate, I know so dical skills, but I’m not a doctor. It’s better to go to the hospital if you’re unwell," Lin Tian corrected.
"But your dical skills are better than the doctors at the hospital," Qi Jing insisted.
Lin Tian thought for a mont and asked, "Where are you?" He reluctantly agreed to Qi Jing’s request, as refusing too much would make him seem guilty.
"I’m in room 909 downstairs," Qi Jing’s voice continued to co through.
Room 909? Why did she book a room? Lin Tian was a bit confused but didn’t think much of it. After hanging up, he turned and walked downstairs. His classmates were still partying in the restaurant, with so even smashing dishes to vent their long-suppressed emotions.
Lin Tian didn’t enter the restaurant; instead, he took the elevator to the ninth floor. Following the room numbers, he quickly found room 909. He rang the doorbell a few tis, and Qi Jing’s voice soon sounded from inside.
"The door’s not locked, co in."
Lin Tian thought she might have drunk too much and really felt unwell, unable to get up to open the door, so he entered without hesitation.
Upon entering, he saw an oversized bed with pink sheets. The room’s decoration was also mainly pink, resembling a legendary couple’s suite. But no one was inside; instead, the sound of running water ca from the bathroom.
Oh no, Qi Jing might have fainted in the bathroom! Lin Tian thought to himself, worried. People who are drunk are most confused, sotis sleeping in the bathroom at ho without knowing.
He quickly walked towards the bathroom. Just as he reached the door, it opened by itself, revealing a woman — it was Qi Jing.
Oddly, Qi Jing wasn’t dressed but was wearing a woman’s robe. The robe was pure white silk, and the bathroom light shone from inside, adding a touch of femininity to her.
From the day Lin Tian t Qi Jing, he knew she had a good figure. She used to wear school uniforms, which didn’t reveal much. Today, wearing a silk robe, with lights accentuating her, she truly looked curvaceous.
There was a faint blush on her cheeks, which could have been from drinking or just finishing a bath.
However, Lin Tian had to admit, tonight’s Qi Jing shed the innocence of a young girl, presenting a sexy femininity that posed a deadly allure to any man.
Lin Tian is a man, of course, he is not exempt. But he was more puzzled about what Qi Jing was really up to. Judging from her complexion, she didn’t really look unwell; the redness on her face wasn’t sickly but a healthy rosy glow.
Therefore, Lin Tian had reason to conclude that Qi Jing’s claim of feeling unwell on the phone was a complete lie. After many diagnoses, Lin Tian’s dical skills had improved significantly. Even without real superpowers, he could pretty much discern the truth.
Lin Tian didn’t get angry; instead, he said calmly, "Didn’t you say you weren’t feeling well? Now it seems, that was a lie, wasn’t it?"
Afraid Lin Tian would get angry, Qi Jing hurriedly explained, "Lin Tian, I had no choice, because I know you. If I hadn’t said that, would you have co down?"
"You don’t have to explain. Since I’ve co down, the reason doesn’t matter. Tell , what do you want?" Lin Tian said calmly, almost coldly.
This coldness saddened Qi Jing greatly. She would rather Lin Tian lose his temper than endure this coldness that felt like an insurmountable mountain range, as if he was right in front of her but out of reach.
"Lin Tian, with the college entrance exams over, we’re about to go our separate ways. We may never et again, and I..." Qi Jing spoke softly. Lin Tian didn’t respond, letting her continue to see what she had to say.
"I truly regret it. If I hadn’t left you back then, how wonderful it would have been," Qi Jing expressed her inner thoughts, words filled with deep regret.
Lin Tian glanced at her and said, "You’re wrong. If you hadn’t left back then, there wouldn’t have been that incident where Sun Decai humiliated , and I would still be an ordinary person, not the Lin Tian I am today." His words were flat, neither blaming nor pretending to be calm.
This was sothing Qi Jing couldn’t understand, nor could anyone else, because the incident with Sun Decai had triggered the unexpected outburst of Taiyin Xuan Qi within Lin Tian, attracting the female zombie, and he, too, was turned into the sa kind by the female zombie.
Lin Tian didn’t intend to explain anything further. He continued, "Qi Jing, if I were still just an ordinary person, still that weakling, even if you hadn’t left two years ago, you’d still leave today. You don’t love , but you love the halo above my head today. So, your leaving was destined."
Listening to Lin Tian’s calmly cold words, tears suddenly stread down Qi Jing’s face. She shook her head desperately, choking up as she said, "No, it’s not..."
"I love you, not the halo above your head." It took a mont for Qi Jing to calm down and express what she wanted to say.
"Heh..." Lin Tian looked at the tears on Qi Jing’s face, his heart unmoved, and replied indifferently, "You say you love, and that’s it? How do you prove it? Actually, you don’t need to prove it, because it doesn’t matter."
Lin Tian ant that whether she loved him or the halo above his head no longer mattered; he didn’t genuinely expect Qi Jing to prove anything.
But listening to Lin Tian’s words, Qi Jing instead wiped away her tears stubbornly and said, "It matters. I can prove what I’m saying..."
Lin Tian found it very strange. Can such a matter as loving soone be proven? It’s not a math problem. Just as he was indifferent, Qi Jing reached for the ribbon at her waist, gave her shoulders a light move, and the silk robe, losing its constraint, slid completely down.
