"Haha, I, Lin Tian, never understood what being polite ans. If there’s anything, I’ll ask for your help." Lin Tian laughed heartily.
"Then I’m relieved, I have so arrangents to make with Uncle Wei, I’ll co find you later, Brother Lin. If you get bored, feel free to wander around the Yun Family estate. There are many interesting places here, which you’ll discover one by one." Yun Xiaotian said with a smile, feeling reassured as he was worried about not hosting well enough.
After giving instructions to Housekeeper Wei, Yun Xiaotian was about to leave with the bodyguards when Lin Tian suddenly rembered sothing and asked, "Xiao Tian, when will we see the old man for treatnt?"
"It’s my fault for not making it clear, Grandpa is not at ho these days. He’s gone out and will be back in a couple of days, I hope Brother Lin can wait a little longer, my apologies." Yun Xiaotian said apologetically.
"I’m quite easygoing, a few days’ wait doesn’t bother . You go ahead if you have things to attend to." Lin Tian said casually, waving his hand.
"Thank you for your understanding, Brother Lin." Yun Xiaotian apologized again, then left with Housekeeper Wei and the bodyguards.
Lin Tian looked around the small building in front of him and stepped inside. The door wasn’t locked and opened with a gentle push.
As soon as he set foot inside, a figure suddenly rushed out, and Lin Tian slightly shifted his body to avoid the path of the figure.
The figure probably wanted to dodge too, but was a bit slow, ending up in a fluster, and accidentally stumbled forward.
Lin Tian helplessly reached out and pulled the person back before they hit the ground.
Startled, the figure let out an "ah" scream, the panicked voice was soft, clearly a girl’s voice. Lin Tian then caught a pleasant fragrance and saw that the person he held was indeed a girl.
The girl was wearing a white dress with an apron, at first glance, he thought a maid from Japan had wandered into the Yun Family estate. Her face was quite pretty, though her eyes were still a bit panicked, and her originally tied-up long hair had co loose, draping down to her waist.
The young girl looked around twenty, her appearance wasn’t stunning, but she was pretty and cute, with an obedient deanor.
"Miss, are you okay?" Lin Tian released his grip and asked.
"I’m...fine, I’m really sorry, did I bump into you?" The young girl didn’t concern herself, and instead, apologized with concern.
"As long as you’re alright. By the way, why are you in the place where I’m staying?" Lin Tian asked curiously, sizing up the young girl in her maid outfit, wondering if he was really being served by a beauty, was his dream becoming reality?
The young girl blushed as Lin Tian stared at her and shyly looked up, saying softly, "You must be Mr. Lin Tian, I’m An Xiaoru. I’ll be taking care of your daily needs during your stay with the Yun Family."
Daily needs? Lin Tian felt a thrill, imagining enticing scenarios; testing bath water, warming the bed, handing him fruit while reading, it was like an immortal life.
Darn, what am I even thinking, that’s sothing from ancient tis. But thinking about it, I guess it cos tax-free, Lin Tian chuckled to himself.
"Xiao Tian, Xiao Tian, are you arranging for to commit a cri?" he muttered quietly.
"Mr. Lin, what did you say? Do you have any requests?" An Xiaoru asked softly.
"Uh, nothing, I was asking if you’re usually responsible for the work in this small building?" Lin Tian babbled, almost letting the young girl overhear.
An Xiaoru slightly shook her head and said, "My original job was to take care of the flowers in the garden. Taking care of Mr. Lin’s daily needs is a temporary arrangent by Young Master Yun."
"No wonder there’s a floral scent about Miss Xiao Ru, it must be from spending ti with flowers." Lin Tian realized.
He had wondered about the pleasant natural fragrance on An Xiaoru, more delightful than any fancy perfu, explaining it as pure floral scent.
Hearing Lin Tian praise the fragrance, An Xiaoru seed a bit nervous, not daring to respond.
"Miss Xiao Ru, you seem nervous around ?" Lin Tian asked.
"I..." An Xiaoru hesitated for a long while, then quietly said, "I heard from Young Master Yun that Mr. Lin is a doctor, I thought... thought you were an elder. I didn’t expect..."
"Didn’t expect Mr. Lin to be so young, tall, and handso, right?" Lin Tian finished her sentence for her and even narcissistically praised himself.
Hearing Lin Tian’s narcissism, An Xiaoru couldn’t help but laugh. She blinked and said, "Mr. Lin is certainly different from other guests."
"Oh, how am I different?" Lin Tian asked curiously.
"Well, most guests visiting the Yun Family are rather..." An Xiaoru pondered a mont, then found a word, saying, "a bit arrogant, cold, and serious, while Mr. Lin seems approachable and kind."
"Those people are just pretending, never mind them. Miss Xiao Ru, why don’t you show around the small building first? Where’s the bedroom, where’s the study, so I don’t accidentally end up in the wrong room and beco a pervert in Miss Xiao Ru’s room." Lin Tian laughed.
An Xiao Ru’s pretty face reddened again, she softly said, "Mr. Lin’s bedroom is on the second floor, please follow ."
Perhaps the young girl was indeed worried about Lin Tian getting lost at midnight, so the first thing she showed him was the bedroom’s location, followed by the study.
Just as Yun Xiaotian said, the study’s large bookshelves were filled with books, mostly dical ones. Lin Tian took a general look, as these weren’t the typical mass-produced books you find in stores.
So were quite old, possibly rare editions. The Yun family’s collection was indeed unique.
On the desk, there was also an acupuncture bronze figure. Of course, it couldn’t be the one made by the Song Dynasty’s imperial physician Wang Weiyi, judging by the condition, it was likely a later reproduction.
Beside the figure was a small fabric pouch, which Lin Tian opened to find it filled with acupuncture needles.
After looking around the setup of the small building, Lin Tian found it to his liking and couldn’t help but admire Yun Xiaotian’s thoroughness—very impressive for soone just sixteen or seventeen.
"By the way, where’s Miss Xiao Ru’s room?" Lin Tian asked while standing in the living room on the first floor.
An Xiaoru hesitated a bit but still obediently pointed to the room next to the stairs, saying, "The second room on the first floor is mine, but I’m only staying here temporarily."
"Rest assured, Miss Xiao Ru, I won’t get the door wrong at night." Lin Tian said humorously, seeing the girl’s hesitant look, and assured her.
He then realized the ambiguity in his words—it could imply he would not mistake his room or wouldn’t mistakenly enter the girl’s room. As expected, An Xiaoru stared at Lin Tian as if his forehead had "pervert" written on it.
