"You really are smart, always guessing what I intend to do. But unfortunately, Shen Anni doesn’t know much either," Lin Tian shook his head and said.
"Lin Tian, what are you two whispering about? Co on up. Zhao Ya and I live in the sa unit. Do you want to go to my place first, or Zhao Ya’s house?" Shen Anni playfully winked at Lin Tian and said.
"Uh, let’s go to Zhao Ya’s house first. We still have plenty of ti to visit your place later," Lin Tian soothed her, avoiding any last-minute change of heart from the jealous Shen Anni.
Shen Anni smiled and said, "Alright, that sounds good. You can co alone next ti. I’ll lead you to Zhao Ya’s house first then."
Lin Tian and his group followed Zhao Ya into the elevator. However, Zi Yan’s half-smiling expression plainly suggested, "You’ve been pinned down by this woman, junior. Let’s see how you handle this."
Lin Tian scoffed at her internally, thinking, "If it weren’t for your store’s problem, would I be letting this woman cling on?"
The elevator stopped at the ninth floor just as the two exchanged glances, and Shen Anni led Lin Tian and the others out, finally stopping in front of apartnt 902.
Lin Tian examined the surroundings. The apartnt was quite impressive, a high-end one in Jinghua City — definitely not cheap. This Zhao Ya moves just like that, showing she’s quite wealthy.
"902 is Zhao Ya’s place. At this ti of day, she should be ho," Shen Anni pointed to the door ahead and said.
Zi Yan said nothing and went straight to ring the doorbell. The bell rang for quite a while, yet no one answered.
"Could she have fainted at ho without anyone knowing?" Zi Yan frowned and said.
Lin Tian knew the dangers of fainting while living alone and couldn’t bother anymore. He activated his X-ray vision, looking through the door. The living room was empty, so he turned to the bedroom where, sure enough, there was a woman in pajamas lying beside the bed.
Oh damn, sothing really happened. Lin Tian withdrew his gaze, not hesitating for even a second, pressed his hand against the door, and gave a strong push. With a "crack," the security door was forced open, splitting the door fra apart.
"Lin Tian, you..." Shen Anni was stunned, having never seen anyone with such strength before.
Lin Tian couldn’t be bothered to explain and rushed in. In the bedroom, the group finally saw the woman collapsed to the ground. Zi Yan gave Lin Tian a curious look, thinking, "Junior’s decisive door-breaking seed like he knew soone had fainted. Why is that?"
"Senior Sister, help her onto the bed," Lin Tian’s words interrupted Zi Yan’s thoughts. Realizing the urgency, Zi Yan didn’t waste any ti and carried the woman to the bed.
"Lin Tian, this is Zhao Ya. She... she’s not dead, right?" Shen Anni said fearfully.
"Relax, she’s not dead yet," Lin Tian checked her pulse and shook his head.
However, fainting like this is extrely dangerous. News reports have covered people living alone having accidents at ho and not being found for days, which is terrifying.
Lin Tian loosened the golden thread and perford acupuncture on Zhao Ya’s head. Only then did she slowly regain consciousness. But upon seeing the people in the room, she imdiately pulled the blanket over her head, not wanting them to see her.
"Zhao Ya, it’s , Zi Yan. Don’t be afraid," Zi Yan comforted.
"I know it’s you, but... I can’t let you see like this," Zhao Ya stamred.
"What are you afraid of? We’ve already seen you. It’s just that your face looks a bit pale, what’s so scary about that?" Shen Anni said nonchalantly.
Hearing Shen Anni say that, Zhao Ya erged from the blanket, and upon seeing her face clearly, Lin Tian frowned while Kikuchi Mika even cowered behind him.
It wasn’t that Zhao Ya was unsightly; in terms of appearance, she’s slightly prettier than Shen Anni. But now her face is not only pale, her lips are colorless, there are large dark circles, and her eye whites are bloodshot.
No wonder Kikuchi Mika is scared; Zhao Ya now looks like a female ghost seen in daylight. If Lin Tian hadn’t felt her pulse, he might truly believe she was a ghost.
"Do I look terrible?" Zhao Ya held her face, saying wearily.

"Junior, could you check and see what’s going on?" Zi Yan said worriedly.
Lin Tian reached out and checked Zhao Ya’s pulse again while activating his X-ray vision. The others quietly watched him, including Shen Anni.
Shen Anni wasn’t foolish; by now, she had realized Lin Tian was not so beauty consultant nor Zi Yan’s kept man. Just from the door-breaking strength and dical skills, she thought Lin Tian was extraordinary.
However, this made her even more intrigued; mysterious n always kindle curiosity, then lead won into entanglent.
"Strange, your body shows no signs of disease," Lin Tian examined several tis, speaking puzzledly.
"I went to the hospital; the doctor said I’m just weak, but there’s no disease. But I wasn’t like this before; I’m very keen on health maintenance, or I wouldn’t be a mber of Liren Fang’s, so my body was always good. It’s only recently I’ve been this way," Zhao Ya said, frowning.
"Mr. Lin, do you think it’s sothing unclean?" Shen Anni glanced around the bedroom and whispered, now referring to Lin Tian as Mr. Lin instead.
Saying this, she shrank back a little herself, as if sothing unclean might be watching her from a corner, causing Kikuchi Mika to cling tightly to Lin Tian, afraid there might be ghosts in the bedroom.
Lin Tian comforted Kikuchi Mika and then told Zhao Ya, "I’ve heard you recently beca obsessed with so strange things. What exactly are they?"
"I..." Zhao Ya glanced at Lin Tian and the others, appearing unwilling to speak.
Lin Tian’s eyes sharpened, speaking coldly, "Miss Zhao, forgive my bluntness, but if you don’t tell the truth, I cannot help you. Continue like this, and you’re certain to die!"
The phrase "certain to die" and his icy words made Zhao Ya’s face turn even paler, absolutely bloodless.
"Junior, don’t scare Miss Zhao. Speak kindly," Zi Yan couldn’t take it anymore and reminded him.
